Ranma 1/2 Z
Epilogue
Trunks’s log, final entry:
It was amazing how it all turned out. Thanks to the iron will of Ranma
Saotome and Akane Tendo, the past is finally safe. I have never seen such
determination in any one except maybe Goku. Goku would have been proud
to see someone such as Ranma with his blood. After the destruction of Gero,
everybody seemed to be in the holiday mood. After the party, everybody
left their separate ways, going back to where they came from. They agreed
that perhaps they will meet again, under less desperate circumstances.
I looked around Tokyo, and it seems that Gero is long gone and forgotten.
Everybody believed that “Tokyo was reborn under the wings of the Phoenix
and the claws of the Dragon.” It will certainly add a new chapter to any
history book in school.
I stayed for a couple more days, just to make sure that everything was
taken care of. Ryoga finally found his way back to the dojo. As expected,
he doesn’t remember ever being under Gero’s control, fortunately. I convinced
Akane and Ranma that what Ryoga did when he was under Gero’s control is
totally against his ill. I also explained that it’s partially because he
has Vegiita’s blood, and that caused him to be more violent. That seemed
to have made them forgive Ryoga for the wrongs he did, and accepted him
back.
As I was about to step into my ship and go home, Ranma made a request
about a point I totally forgot. He asked me if there was anyway to remove
the Saiyajin blood from their bodies. He believes that such great powers
will be a huge risk to the safety of everyone. I must commend his wise
decision. Unfortunately, the Saiyajin blood cells are already too attached
to their normal cells that removing them would be impossible. However,
I redesigned the pod for do a similar function. The special treatment Ranma,
Akane, Ryoga, and Ukyou received in the new pod will make their Saiyajin
cells dormant. They no longer will be able to use their Saiyajin powers.
They seemed satisfied with that though.
There was one more thing I would have to see to to make
sure that the past would not be changed. I made the mistake at first of telling Ranma about the Dragonballs, but at the end I managed to lie to them that the Dragonballs are gone forever. Ranma did not realize that once Kami is revived, the Dragonballs would be reformed. It is best that they do not know the new existence of the Dragonballs, or else the present may be changed again. With the past is now secure, I
can return home, and will be among my friends and family once again.
