R.A.T.S.

R.A.T.S. is the Rochester Alliance of Theatrical Students, which is in charge of the Theatre Club, and our troupe of the International Thespian Society. We also have taken the responsibility of caring for our auditorium, which the RHS janitors do not take care of whatsoever.
We put on three shows a year, and the majority of us are very dedicated, tight-knit, and share a deep passion for theatre.
Here's my shout out to our wonderful director, Mr. Frank Gollon; to our techs who "Do It In The Dark"; to my RATS from the Past; and to my fellow cast members, past, present, and future. Thanks for all the "Oh Yeahs!".

"Death Comes To Us All, Mary Agnes"

My current show!Just two more weeks to district competition at MIFA, and we're scrambling to get it together, but the script is wonderful, and I can't wait. The show follows a day in the life of a rather screwed up family: Margot, who was abandoned to a french orphanage by her mother, Vivian, who preferred her twin sons; Herbert, Vivian's ex-husband, who is escorting Margot to confront her mother; Tod and Tim, Vivian's sons, and the two grocery boys they sleep with; Mrs. Jansen-Hubbel, Vivians mother, who feigns insanity; Mr. Jansen Hubbel, who is dying; Coral Tyne, Mr. Jansen-Hubbels secretary/mistress; Margaret, the British maid; Martin, the butler; and Mary Agnes Simpson, Martins niece. Hilarity abounds as they gather for their first meeting after fifteen years, and half of them end up dead.

The cast includes:

  • Jessica Redding as Vivian Jansen-Hubbel Pomme
  • Chris Siehda as Herbert Pomme
  • Carolyn Dalton as Margaret
  • Jeff Eppley as Martin
  • Brian Godwin as Tim Pomme
  • Greg Brown as Tod Pomme
  • Deanna Brunet as Mrs. Jansen-Hubbel
  • Colleen Slusser as Coral Tyne
  • Linnea Carlson as Margot Pomme
  • Christine Werny as Mary Agnes Simpson
  • Kellen Manley as the Farmer Jack delivery boy
  • John Wilburn as the Grand Union delivery boy

    **Important Bulletin!**

RATS presented our show at District MIFA Festival this past weekend....and (once again), were screwed over by Avondale. Every year we are sent to Avondale to compete, it seems that something a little screwy happens, but this year tops it off. The show itself recieved mixed reviews from the audience, who thought it was somewhat shocking and inappropriate. But the real problem arose from our host school, Avondale High School. Our score sheets were altered, our room and possesions tampered with, and our show came up for proposed disqualifiying.

    That's all for now!
