In the movie PATLABOR 1 MOBILE POLICE, there are major characters who show up on the screen. Most are from Labor Police Division 2(Special Vehicle Section 2 is too Japanese and Chinese to me. It's the exact interpretation). They're also on the second movie, TV series and comic. Let's meet the cast.

Noah Izumi(right), a down-to-earth teen gal, pilots Ingram 98 Series Type 1 Alphonse and fights with his partner Ota most of the time. She loves to do planting tomatos. Her best friends is Asuma Shinohara(left), a hard-working teen guy who pilots Ingram 98 Series Type 3 as backward. He and Noah investigate the case of the catastrophic Bablyon Project contruction site, the Ark, near Tokyo in 1999. He and bud Shige cracks the case with their patience and supercomputer at home. Hackers(note, hackers has extensive computer knowledge, but aren't crackers who break into networks, etc. Okie, they did once.).

Ota(left), who is an impulsive dude, pilots Ingram 98 Series Type 2. His impulse often leads him into a brick wall. His Ingram debuted by crashing a police vehicle like Kleenex. He helps Noah out in the last fight in the Ark. He never stole the spotlight off camera, though. Kanuka Clancy(right) comes from the newly established New York Labor Police Division to fight for Labor Police Division 2. And in an odd twist of fate, she uses Ingram 98 Series Type Zero to defeat all the 5,000-something contruction Labors in the Ark. Due to her Ingram's infected computer, the Labor went berserk and knocked down both Type 2 and 1.

Captain Goto(top) commands Division 2 and always sits and smokes like the cigarette man in The X-Files. Open to kudos and comments, he is quite a thinker and predicts the cause of rampaging Labors. However, he has lesser power than Chief Shinobu Nagano(bottom) who takes care of the Division. She test-drives Ingram 98 Series Type Zero. She and Captain Goto always discuss everything together.

Shige Shiba(left) and Asuma are buds. He is a bright mechanic and is responsible for installing operating systems into the Labor computers. Mr. Sakaki(right) is the boss of mechanics department. He is senior and admits that he can't catch up with young trainees.
