Our First class Pilots

Pilot Van Fanelia - []
Seiyuu: Tomokazu Seki (Kamui)

Our pilot Van Fanelia is the king of Fanelia -- royalty!  Flying Guymelfs since he was young, don't be fooled by his harmless appearance and his angel-like wings of white feathers.  He's young, arrogant, a little impulsive yet when it comes to his Escaflowne, he'll risk his own life to bring it back in one piece.  Before he joined our company, he met Hitomi Kanzaki in Earth/Phantom Moon while battling a dragon to find the crystal to awaken his Escaflowne.   He is often seen wearing a simple sleeveless red shirt and tan pants.   His brother is Folken Fanel.


Pilot Allen Schezar - []
Seiyuu: Shin-ichiro Miki (WeiB Kruz)

Allen Schezar. Not only is he a real Cassonova with the ladies - his piloting skills are superb! Trained exclusively by the very honorable and famous Bargas, Allen can get you anywhere you want whenever you want!  Before we were blessed with his appearance at EA, he travelled with Hitomi and Van to stop Zaibach from taking the Escaflowne.  Even though he was skeptical about Van's claims of Zaibach's actions to burn down his country, he quickly believed Van when his own country joined Zaibach's destruction.   He wears a long blue sleeveless outfit with matching blue gloves and a white long leave shirt under.   He pilots the Scherazade.


Ex-pilot Bargas - [Honorary employee]
Seiyuu:

Bargas, an impeccable employee is no logner with us.  He has left for a better place.  While protecting his passengers and country, Fanelia, he was another casualty in a lost country.  We will miss your teachings, Bargas-sama.   Bargas has a large scar over his left eye.

Flight Attendent Hitomi Kanzaki - []
Seiyuu: Maaya Sakamoto (Lodoss War TV)

Sweet, kind, and energetic, Hitomi Kanzaki who was an ex-track athlete has joined our company!  She dabbles in the mysterious arts of tarot cards, occasionally giving our customers a glaance of her wonderful ability!  Never without her grandmother's pendant, she travelled on Gaia with Van and Allen in hope to return to her world, Earth.  However, before she was able to, she discovered secrets of her power, the Escaflowne's, and the plots brewing in the Zaibach Empire's floating fortress.   She wears her school uniform with consists of a shirt and a dress.
 

 Flight Attendent Merle - []
Seiyuu: Ikue Ohtani (Ah! My Goddess)

Merle, a childood friend and companion seeks Van out after the destruction of their country.  She tags along with them in their search for the answers to why Zaibach plans to take Van's Escaflowne.  With catlike features and humanlike emotions, she brings laughter and friendship to all those who join our airlines!
Princess Millerna Aston- []
Seiyuu: Mayumi Iizuka (Mahou Tsukai Tai!)

Princess Milarna is the daughter of a local king; she is desperate in the belief that she is in love with Allen.  Whether or not that is true, she ends up marrying Drydem.  She proves as a rival to Hitomi for Allen's attention.   She has long blond hair and very sharp features; she is always seen..or atleast most of the time...wearing a pink dress with lace on the collar and  the sleeves.   She has a pink band over her forehead with a small blue jewel hanging form it.   Two of her sisters are Marlene Aston and Eries Aston.   One of them, I think, had a child with Allen Schezar.   The other always wears a green outfit and green hat. Milerna is very headstrong and will ignore all orders from her family if it involved Allen.
 

Flight Attendent Naria and Eriya - []
Seiyuu: Mayumi Iizuka (Mahou Tsukai Tai!)

PBoth of these cat-girls are friends of Folken, they treat him like a master and savior because he is the one who protected them when they were all alone in the worl.   They would do anyhtign for him.   In the later Escaflowne episodes, they help him defeat Van.   They are unable to, however, because of Merle.
 

Our Second class Flight attendents

Flight Attendent Dilandau Albatou - []
Seiyuu: Minami Takayama (Two-Mix, Nabiki Tendo)

Dilandau is a red-eyed crazed Guymelf pilot who is under the command of Domkirk, the mastermind behind Zaibach.   In reality, he is actually a she -- the sister of Allen Schezar who was captured many years ago.   This perhaps explains how he..or shall we say her obsession with her face.   Dilandau has slightly curled gray-purple hair and wears a long red outfit.   His true self actually has blond hair and blue eyes and is Allen's sister, Selena.

Flight Attendent Folken Fanel - []
Seiyuu: Jyoji Nakata (Blue Seed)

Folken has blue hair which defies the law of gravity and an imprinted tear drop on his cheek.   The brother of Van, he had once been part of the Kingdom of Fanelia, but changed sides when he lost his arm while fighting with a tempered dragon.  He always wears a long black coat and is definitely solemn.

 
 

Flight Attendent Chester - []
Seiyuu: ?

Chester is one of Dilandau's servants/soldiers.   He, like the other soldiers wears a blue outfit and carries a long golden sheated sword.   he has short blond hair and is the only one who constantly gets smacked about by Dilandau.   He does die in the anime, but a little later.   His death and those of his fellow soldiers Dalet, Migel, Gatti, Guimel, prompt the final stage of total maniacal killing from Dilandau.   They are formally called the "Dragon Slayers."

Drydem - []
Seiyuu: Jurouta Kosugi
Drydem is a very wealthy merchant, he marries Princess Milarna and ends up financng many of Van/Allen's ideas throughout the anime.  He has long brownish-red hair and wears very small black sunglasses.   He also has a green/bluish haired mermaid girlfriend.

Dornkirk - []
Seiyuu: Masato Yamanouchi
The mastermind behind all of the fighting and ordering of the conquesrin of all the countries, he looks more like an old man with a long robe and white/gray hair.

Our Company Leechers

Moleman - []
Seiyuu: Chafurin
The Moleman wears green glasses and is first seen in episode 2 or 1.   He is basically harmless but is seen tryign to take Hitomi's things and ends up getting slapped around by Allen.   He doesn't help veyr much in the anime, but does provide a few funny scenes and information for Hitomi/Van.



All Others

Varie Fanel  - []
Seiyuu: ?
Van and Folken's mother.   She was the one who passed on the wings to her sons.  She has long black hair and two pink dots on her forehead that are smiliar are Sasami's in Tenchi Muyo!
 

Prince Chid  - []
Seiyuu: Minami Takayama (Two-Mix, Nabiki Tendou)
Prince Chid is Allen's son and the son of one of Milerna's sisters.   He is a young boy with blond hair who looks about 6 years old.   He wears a gold helmet.
 

Leon Schezar  - []
Seiyuu: ?
This Schezar is Allen's father.   He once met Hitomi's grandmother when she came from the Phantom Moon/earth to Gaea.   He abandoned Allen and his wife to search for Hitomi's grandmother again.
 

Susumu Amano  - []
Seiyuu: Shin-ichiro Miki
Amano was Hitomi's friend in Earth/Phantom Moon.   Hitomi is in love with him, or so she believes, and throughout most of the anime, she is thinking about him and how much he looks like Allen.   He tries to save Hitomi when she flys off with Van, but can only hand her back her pendant.   That day when Hitomi was in the track with him, Hitomi was goign to confess her love for him because he was going to leave.   He has shoulder length brown hair.
 

Yukari Uchida  - []
Seiyuu: ?
Hitomi's best friend who sees her flying away with Van.   She has shoulder-length red hair and is in love with Amano, as Hitomi later finds out.
