East Beach
As with the other beaches, this one is composed of a fairly course sand. White and black grains mix with the predominant sandy brown to give a speckled appearance, and some mica-like flakes catch glints of sunlight occasionally. Deposits of seaweed and driftwood often appear on the shore, and almost as often are washed back to sea by the next wave. The beach stretches far to the east, with dunes peppering and area just before a sheer cliff.

To the west is the main beach, and to the east is the beginning of the forest which leads to the Hold. The Weyrling training field is to the north, and shallow water perfect for bathing dragonets in is to the south.

Rulita is sitting staring at the water, sighing as the sun starts dipping over the horizon. (REPOSE A LONG TIME LATER :))

Brown Eshoth lands in the water with a mighty splash, sending a veritable tidal wave shore-wards. M'ko oofs, at that, and slides down his strapless hide. He wades toward the shore and blinks as he spots Rulita. "Errr.. Hullo."

Rulita blushes. "Mo..." breathed uncomfortably.

M'ko nervously reaches a hand behind his head as he hesitantly approaches, stopping several feet before her. "Err... How are you, Masterhealer?" Formal... Hrm.

Rulita instantly reacts to the formality, turning a little pale. "I'm well," not happy, by the looks of her, but well.

M'ko is certainly... Uncomfortable. "I'm glad to hear that..." He says, softly.

Rulita casts a tortured look over at him. "As always."

M'ko blinks those olive-green eyes in sincere surprise, at that. "..As always?" He echoes quizically, before letting that go with a shake of his head. He smiles gently, now, admiting, "It's good to see you."

Rulita hugs herself. "And you," quietly.

M'ko nods slowly. "It's kind of you to say so, anyway, Rulita." He mumbles, gaze dropping.

Rulita mms, gaze dropping to the sand herself. "Of course it is, after last time," pausing "I thought you were going to stay away.

M'ko glances back up, now, scowling. "It isn't all my /choice/ Rulita... I have to stay away.. And... besides that, I didn't know you were here."

Rulita ohs. "I can go," is choked out.

M'ko sighs heavily. "No, don't go, 'Lita."

Rulita blinks. "You want me to stay?"

M'ko sighs in exasperation. "I don't know /what/ I want anymore, Rulita.."

Rulita glances over. "I know what you don't want," quietly.

M'ko scowls, at that, before sighing again. "'Lita, it's not that I don't /want/ you.. It's that I can't /have/ you..."

Rulita swallows. "Maybe so, but you just... left me"

"For your own good, Rulita.." Moe argues, sighing heavily. "For both of us..."

Rulita counters "Has it made you happy?"

M'ko blinks, at that. "I'm happy if you are." He points out.

Rulita sighs. "Do I look happy?"

M'ko's only response is to glance back down at the sand and sigh.

Rulita shrugs. "I have no choice then," after a moment, quietly to herself.

M'ko blinks, at that, glancing back up. "Have no choice?" He echoes.

Rulita only answers with "You don't leave me any options, Mo."

M'ko sighs. "Rulita.. I... I don't care what happens anymore, 'Lita..." She sighs again, and finally, "...I love you."

Rulita looks like she's been slapped. "I love you," as though this weren't completely obvious.

M'ko sighs more. "..So.. What are we supposed to do about it, 'Lita?"

Rulita sighs "I know what my father thinks I should do about it, Mo."

M'ko blinks. "..What?"

Rulita sighs, and stands, not answering, just folding her arms and staring out into the stars. "What do you think?" after the longest time "I'm twenty turns old, single, and far too tempted by a rider."

M'ko frowns, at that, confused. "...I don't understand what you mean, 'Lita..." He admits, quietly.

Rulita mms "You know," absently "it would've happened before if I hadn't been posted."

"What, 'Lita?" Moe wonders, frown growing darker. "/What/ would have happened before?"

Rulita sighs "I'm not a rider, moreso I'm a woman. He wants me to be married, Mo."

M'ko just blinks. "You're going to be /handfasted/?" Sputtersputter. "But..But." He scowls, suddenly, grumbling, "This is exactly why I wanted to break it off, 'Lita.. So we didn't have to worry about being hurt so badly when /this/ happens."

Rulita shrugs. "Maybe," she admits "I do outrank my father."

M'ko blinks, at that, frowning. "You mean you.. You won't? ..Get handfasted, I mean."

Rulita glances over at him. "I don't know. You leave, you come back, you tell me you love me. How am I supposed to know you won't break my heart a third time, Mo? How strong do you think I am?"

M'ko frowns, turning away. At that, he mumbles quietly, "Stronger than I am."

Rulita watches him. "You just told me we can't be together," she reminds him.

"We can't... We can't ever see each other, Rulita... We live in two different worlds.." Moe sighs heavily.

Rulita sighs "Well what do you want me to DO?"

M'ko sighs, too, still not facing her. "Do... Do whatever you want, Rulita... Choose whatever or whoever will make you happiest."

Rulita eyes him. "I love /you/," she says. "But even," sigh. She admits "Even if you wanted me, I couldn't choose you. We're from two different worlds. If only... if only I hadn't been called back. We could have Weyrmated if I'd stayed at the Weyr." She colours slightly.
Rulita murmurs "But you didn't want me then."

M'ko closes his eyes, announcing, "I don't deserve you, 'Lita."

Rulita hugs herself. "And yet," she steps towards him, and gently, her hand rests on his back "Sometimes, like right now... I could throw it all away, just to be in your arms."

M'ko keeps those green eyes shut tight. "Don't say that, Lita... It isn't right... And I wouldn't let you do that, anyway..." Sigh. "...As much as I might want you to."

Rulita trails her fingers on his back. "I miss you Mo."

M'ko has yet to open his eyes. "I miss you, too, Lita..." After a momen he whispers, very softly, "...I /need/ you, 'Lita..."

Rulita tiptoes up, raising her lips as close to his as she can, a touch of her hand reveals to his closed-eye form just how close she is. "I'm here," she whipsers back.

M'ko opens those green eyes, one hand slowly reaching to drape about her waist, pulling her closer yet. "I /want/ you to be with me.. But... I can't ask you to give everything up for me."

Rulita shhs him. "Just for now," she promises.

M'ko wraps the other arm around her, leaning down and whispering a soft, "I love you..." Before pressing his lips to hers.

Rulita returns the kiss of course, after all, she has committed herself to so much, and despite the fact that he's doubtless kissed women with more experience and skill, he could never have had a kiss of someone with more trust and love for him.
