I just feel rhythm emotion
The beating of my heart connected to you so far away
I don't care if I'm hurt any more
Without turning my eyes away

I want to live passionately
I want to hold you,
Because you give me the strength to never give up.
I just feel rhythm emotion
The mistakes and the pain
Guided me to one clear moment of light

I just feel "rhythm emotion"
The beating of my heart connected to you so far away
I want to experience the present on my bare skin
I want to find more gentleness
Bring back the miracle of my childhood days,
When everything sparkled

I just feel "rhythm emotion"
We feel and understand each other's pain
We believe in the warmth
I just feel "rhythm emotion"
I want to make you feel the truth of my passion
With this kiss
So far away...

I just feel "rhythm emotion"
The mistakes and the pain
Guided me to one clear moment of light
I just feel "rhythm emotion"
The beating of my heart connected to you,
So far away

Aikan

An uncombed and windblown mop of shiny brown hair with the occasional auburn streak tops his head, looking as if he needed it trimmed quite a time ago, but never really got around to it. Strands fall in front if his eyes, and across his forehead, when he forgets to brush them out of the way. Tall, this lad is, a full head above most his age and with no stooping or bending down, trying to hide his full height out of modesty. His face is narrow, as if the features had been gently chiseled away by the greatest Miners on Pern, and that only adds to the handsome impression he gives off--he is good looking, and knows it full well. His skin has been darkened lightly by Rukbat's soft glow, the faint tan a good compliment to the deep forest-green eyes that have a tendency to change their shade in the right light, or when he lets his emotions carry him away... Which is a rare occurrence, indeed.

He wears a long-sleeved, high-necked shirt of a deep, almost jewel toned blue, shadows darkening it to near black in some places, and highlights coming across as rippling sapphire over his long frame. Rather than clashing with the green of his eyes, it emphasizes their color, and brings out the soft gold of his tan. Pants are of a fairly typical sort, slim, dark brown, and close enough to black that one might think they were. They just meet a pair of low, wherry leather boots at the ankles. There is a blue badge on his shoulder -- that of a Journeyman Harper. Beside it is the dark blue and tan knot of a resident of High Reaches Hold.
He appears to be 19 Turns, 10 months, and 27 days old.

Family's History--

Yarendar was born and raised at Fort Hold, the youngest child of two Harpers... In fact, Yarendar comes from a very /long/ line of Fortian Harpers. By the time he was 'of age,' Yarendar joined the Craft as an Apprentice, as had his parents, and their parents, before him. He quickly rose through the ranks, and once he had made Journeyman, he met and married another Harper... -*-*-*- Kialla, though born in Tillek Hold, is of mixed Telgari-Fortian descent. Her father was a Journeyman Harper from Fort Weyr, and her mother a Senior Apprentice Harper-Turned Greenrider at Telgar Weyr. As her parents had done, she joined the Harpercraft in her mid-teens, and became quite talented at composition. She walked the tables and received her Journeyman's knots in no time... And by that time, she'd managed to meet another Harper--An Actor, of all things... And only a few months after their first meeting, Kialla and Yarendar were wed. A turn later, their son, Yuki, was born.

Known History--

Very little is known Aikan, except that he claims to be the only son of a Journeywoman Vintner, born and orphaned at a young age at Tillek Hold. His father is even more of an enigma... A nameless bluerider, apparently of Fort Weyr. After the death of his mother, Aikan traveled to the weyr he believed his mysterious father to have been from... After spends a turn or two with a distant aunt, Aika decided to join the Harpercraft at the ripe old age of thirteen turns. Right from the start he had a fairly amazing talent for performance, able to play almost any for of pipe or harp... And by the time he made Senior Apprentice, he had become a talented Flautist. He continued to rise through the ranks, walking the tables and making Journeyman on his Eighteenth Turnday. Almost two turns later he was given his first posting -- High Reaches Hold.

Aikan's Real History--

Born a snowy winter's eve at the Fortian Harper Hall, and the only son of two Journeyman Harpers -- Kialla, and Yarendar. The two young parents named their new son 'Yuki,' with high hopes that he would become a Harper, just as his parents had, and their parents before them. Only a few short months after his birth, the family quickly moved to Keroon Hold, where they stayed and raised barely one-turn-old Yuki. He grew up a quiet lad, rarely opening his mouth except to play the flute his parents had given him on his twelfth turnday. Even though he had few friends, Yuki's childhood was a fairly happy one... Especially on the day he met the quiet fair-skinned girl who somewhere along the way, managed to steal his heart.

After two turns of being inseparable from the girl who was his apparent best friend, Yuki announced to her, as well as his parents, that they would soon be married. Apparently, this was the wrong thing to say. His parents were...displeased, to say the least. Still, without their blessing, the Fifteen-Turn-Old pair snuck away to Igen Weyr, and were married by a Harper there. When they returned, both sets of parents were quite unhappy... And without even being given a chance to say goodbye, Yuki was shipped off to the Harper Hall, and enrolled as a Junior Apprentice.

When he arrived at the Hall, though, Yuki introduced himself as 'Aikan,' an orphan originally from Tillek Hold, the son of a Vintner and a Bluerider of Fort Weyr. He was accepted at the Harper Hall, and even managed to make a friend or two. After four turns there, Yuki, now Aikan, managed to walk the table to Journeyman, and was even given a posting… So now he has traveled to the snowy wastes in the north to see what High Reaches Hold has in store for him...

The lyrics are an English translation of the Japanese song 'Rythym Emotion' by Takayama Minami and Nagano Shiina, from the anime Shin Kidou Senki Gundam Wing (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing). The midi currently playing is the same song, and coincidentally enough, Aika/Yuki is based on the Gundam Wing character, Trowa Barton.
