You dismount from Ilexth.
Who Knows Weyr:Beach Cove
The black, volcanic sands of the beach curve around the harsh rock face that descends in a near sheer facade from above. Lost, fractured diamonds -- long since smashed into naught but powdered dust -- cause the sands to dance in reflected light, either with the caress of Rukbat or with the embrace of Belior and Timor. Towards the far end of the beach, where the ocean crashes in to enshroud the shoreline, rocks jut out to form pools often crowded with spiderclaws and other marine life, trapped in the small tidal enclosures. Further along the waterfall cascades in a sheet from above, joining with the ocean in a foamy collusion of fresh with briny water. High in the cliff face, a single and sometimes tricky pathway has been carved into its face, descending from the bowl -- grasses more usually seen swaying in dunes, dot the headland, providing some assistance for those attempting the climb or descent.

Bowl Ocean
Elenna is throwing pebbles in the water.
Ilexth bounds toward the ocean as soon as C'den gets her straps off. Oof.
Ilexth splashes into the ocean with a big wave.
It is currently the middle of the evening during autumn early in month 11 of turn 309. The temperature outside is 101 degrees Farenheit. The sky is cloudless.
C'den rolls his eyes as his green lifemate leaves, but smiles as he catches sight of Charissa. "Hi there."
Siamisa is...asleep on the beach. Yeah.
Elenna isn't really terribly obvious. She's seated near a rock.
Charissa wanders up, waving toward Cal. And others. "Hi there... Ory decided to sleep." Go figure.
"Instead of swim? That's odd." C'den smiles again as he walks over to meet the brownrider. "How are you?" What there are other people there?
Elenna throws more pebbles. Not really talking.
Siamisa isn't other people, she's the Weyr's studliest greenrider!
Charissa nods. "Indeed. Well... I see Lex's habits haven't changed though." A wink, before she finds a rock to settle upon, boots kicked off.
Elenna seems to be off in her own little world.
C'den moves to join Charissa on that rock. "You know... I talked to Khav the other day. About what you were so upset about? Jir, he says no one ever said anything..."
Lucky Sia's asleep and so she can't hear a thing that Cal's saying.
Charissa nods slowly. "Yes he did." Face is made, as she mentions, "I still don't understand why he thought I was pregnant." Perish the thought.
Eww..Cal spawn?
o_O...Cal spawn?
Elenna might be able to enlighten them, if she were in the mood. It would appear she's not.
C'den blinks. "You?"
Charissa nods. "I mean, he helped to a chair, and everything." Foot massage, too. Ahem. "Then he asked me when the baby was due.... I don't get it."
Elenna throws more pebbles, looking irritable.
C'den narrows his eyes. "But how would /Khav/ know unless....unless..." He frowns darkly and leaves that rock, walking toward the water. Hrm. Silly dragon won't stop swimming...
Khav slept with Rissa! It's not Cal spawn, it's Khav spawn! Run for your lives!
Charissa blinks, obviously confused. "Cal... where are you going?"
C'den doesn't turn around. Sniff. "To another Weyr."
Charissa pauses, wondering, "Why? Cal. I thought we promised not to do this. He simply /asked/ me, after I came looking for you."
C'den sniffs. "Yeah. Just asked. Sure. And before you were all upset 'cause you thought...." Well, nevermind what she thought. Well, beware the greenrider having a hissyfit.
"And isn't that what you're doing now?" Strangely, Charissa's calm. "If you do this...." She lets the words hang. "I've got no idea how he came to the conclusion, but if you walk toward Lex, I swear I'll bounce one of my boots off the back of your head." Uh oh.
Maybe Cal's head'll cave in, that way it'll prove his head is hollow.
C'den rolls his eyes, but keeps his back to the offending brownrider. "So, I'm not even alowed to be with my /lifemate/?" Hmph. "And unlike /you/, at least she's loyal." Yeah, she never abandons him in his weyr or anything. Cal keeps walking toward the shore, and snorts, "Women."
That does it. Boot is calmly picked up. "I warned you, you jerk." Face is made, as Charissa notes, "If I have to knock you out to keep you here...." The last isn't said, as boot flies. Someone's got good aim.
Well, at least it's proven that Cal has a thick skull. He just winces, and idly rubs the back of his head. "Ow." ...And keeps going. "I hear it's nice at No now.." Hmph.
Okay, so Cal's head wasn't hollow, it's got rocks in it instead!
Not rocks. Wherryeggs.
Actually, it's solid bone.
"Have a fun time there, too." Charissa turns, leaving her boots behind as she trudges back toward Oryzath.
So now his brain's scrambled? ;)
But rocks are harder than wherryeggs..Scrambled! Hee.
C'den does turn around, then. "I'll be up to pack my things, soon!" He calls. "Whenever you're not there!" Hopefully she won't just throw his stuff out...But that's giving her ideas, so... "Pity I never got to meet your mother!" His voice starts rising, then. "I've heard the egg doesn't fall far from the wherry!"
Now that made lots of sense.
He's upset. You can't expect him to make sense.
Elenna just sighs, throws pebbles, and pays absolutely no attention to the two riders.
What's his excuse when he's not upset?
Charissa ooohs, turning, face a mask of rage. She doesn't even waste any time. She strides right up to the greenrider, head titling back to look at him. "What /did/ you say?!"
PMS?
C'den smirks wryly. "I /said/ that the egg doesn't fall far from the wherry... So, tell me Chariss/a/, is your mother the weyr slut, too?"
Ouch..Alas poor Cal, we knew him well.
Unfortunately.
Ha ha.
"That does it!" Hand balls into a fist, a thought of a slap turned into a full punch as Charissa takes the time to put her hand right into Cal's stomach. Just to bring him down, of course. "Don't you /ever/ talk to me again!"
C'den oofs, doubling over. That's gotta hurt. When he finally gets enough breath, he calls out, "Why would I ever /want/ to talk to you again, you... you..." Hrm. "...Kh'vil-loving-slut-of-a-wherryheaded-brownrider!" Now /that's/ an insult.
Elenna throws her next pebble, except not at the water. It's headed straight for Cal.
Oose..that it is. Use it on Sia one time!
'Cept Sia's not a brownrider.
Charissa guesses Cal likes being punched. She'll realize it later as her hand connects with his face. Nice shiner it'll leave, as she turns away after the punch his thrown. "I don't want to talk to you, see you, or do anything with you again! You hear me!"
Well...you'd change it to green.
C'den winces as that pebble hits... Then again as he gets punched. "Good! I never want to see you again as long as I live! And the sooner I transfer to another Weyr, the better!"
Charissa doesn't even bother to comment, as she scrambles up toward someone who does care.
Charissa grasps for purchase amongst the grasses, as she wanders up the pathway towards the bowl.
Charissa has left.
Elenna hahs. "You're a moron Cal," she calls out.
C'den glares at Elenna. "What do you know?" Stupid wherryheaded females. Grumble.
Elenna glares "Only a dimglow idiot of a greenrider would call his weyrmate a slut and expect to get away with it. She should've punched your /other/ eye."
Siamisa can help with that! Where's that pitcher...
DTU: Oryzath senses that Ilexth tickles your thoughts gently -- wakey wakey -- then suddenly floods your mind with worried golden tones. << My C'den is upset. >> And she is glowy. But that doesn't have anything to do with it. Honest.
Hee!
"Shut up." C'den snaps at Elenna. He stays huddled in a heap on the sand, not even moving as Ilexth stops swimming and wraps a comforting green wing around him.
DTU: Ilexth senses that Oryzath touches with dark and somber hues, before he lets his mental wings flex. <
DTU: Oryzath senses that Ilexth mentally baps her lifemate. Stupid Cal. Ruining all her hard work. /Again/. << This will not do at all. >> Now, how to fix this... Hooow to fix this.
Elenna snorts. "You don't say things like that to someone you care about!"
Aoi> Charissa wanders within, brushing angry tears from her face. "Jerk. Jerkjerk/jerk/!" Hands hit the table, blithely, before she flops into a chair. Wine is grabbed, a few riders scooting away from her as she pops the cork. Glub, club, hiccup.
DTU: Ilexth, and Belisth sense that Oryzath does another imitation of Charissa's hiccup, as he shakes those somber hues. <
"Well, good. 'Cause I don't care about /her/." C'den snorts. Yeah, sure.
DTU: Oryzath, and Belisth sense that Ilexth sents the mental equivilant of a pout. << Why are riders so... so... Stupid? >>
DTU: Belisth projects to Oryzath, and Ilexth, << Fix? What's broken? >>
Elenna snorts. "Right," she says. "That's why you're so mad."
DTU: Ilexth, and Belisth sense that Oryzath notes, <
C'den grumbles. "I need something to drink." Funny. Cal hates wine. Elenna is ignored as he slowly rises to his feet and stumbles toward the bowl.
You grasp for precarious purchase amongst the grasses, as you make your way back to the bowl.
Who Knows Weyr:Living Caverns(#144RJV$)
You walk toward the Weyr entrance which leads to the living caverns.
C'den stumbles into the caverns, and moves to grab a wineskin off a nearby table. He has yet to see Charissa.
Charissa is already downing a skin, not even pausing to breathe. Maybe that's what's causing the hiccups as she pulls the skin away, wiping the wine from her lips. "Jerk.... I can't believe him...."
C'den glances up at that, then scowls. "Ohh... Shut up. Like you're one to talk you...you... You." Grrr. He slowly brings the skin to his lips, winces, and takes a sip. Uck.
"You, dear man, are begging me to punch you, aren't you?" Wine makes Chari fierce. And being called a slut doesn't help. "Keep it up, and I'll smack that other eye, too." Eek?
C'den snorts, rolling his eyes. "If you could reach it, maybe." Yeah. Shorty. "I won't miss you at all when I'm gone." Yup, he's gonna leave. Honest.
C'den's sitting, isn't he? Charissa gets up from her chair, stalking over to the greenrider without another thought. "Then /please/," the voice drips in sarcasm, "allow me to give you a going away present." Punch. Stars.
C'den yelps, covering the latest black eye. "Stop that! ...Unless you want me to do the same to you!" He snaps, hands balling into fists. He wouldn't hit her in a million turns, but he can threaten.
Elenna walks in from the bowl.
Charissa tilts her chin up, though a hiccup ruins the effect. "Oh.... hush! Don't make me kick you." Another hiccup, as she turns on her heel, adding, "Besides... I've got to give your new home some good reason to take you. Two black eyes will suffice."
Elenna walks in, surveying the scene and sits off in a corner with a smirk so she can watch.
C'den snorts, rolling his eyes. "Well.. At least I don't need a reason to /leave/. I'd rather go between and stay there than be in the same /room/ as you!" Hmph.
Charissa makes a face, turning away from Cal as she moves toward the bowl. A skin is picked up, as she notes, "And you can stay there, for all I care."
C'den hmphs. "Fine!" He calls, rising from his seat and stomping out to the bowl. He might even do it, too, in his condition.... Just to spite her.
Ilexth> You backwing for a landing in the east bowl.
Who Knows Weyr:East bowl(#40RJ$)
You walk out into the bowl.
Aoi> Charissa does nothing in spite. Now anger... well, that's why C'den is sitting there with two black eyes and a sore stomach. As C'den leaves, she makes another face. "Jerk."
Around Ilexth, Ilexth croons softly once her rider is safely on her neck.
Around Ilexth, Belisth wriggles.
Around Ilexth, Ilexth trills angrily at her stupid lifemate. /No/. I will not do /that/.
Around Ilexth, From the sky, Oryzath flies up from the west bowl.
Around Ilexth, Oryzath rumbles softly, curled where he is. He /was/ sleeping, before all the mental noise snuck in. The presence of Ilexth changes the irritation somewhat, a warble going to her and Xaryth.
Around Ilexth, Nadege descends from Xaryth's neck.
Around Ilexth, Xaryth offers a whispery soft croon once her rider is safely on the ground.
Around Ilexth, Ilexth bounds over to Oryzath, then, warbling angrily at that /thing/ strapped onto her. Make 'im stop!
Around Ilexth, Xaryth is distracted, briefly, by the sound from the brown, giving Nadege and a chance to escape into the living caverns.
Around Ilexth, Nadege walks toward the Weyr entrance which leads to the living caverns.
Aoi> Nadege walks in from the bowl.
Aoi> "I don't get it. I haven't slept with anyone but that jerk and look at how he treats me." Color Charissa maudlin. "I'm better off without him."
Around Ilexth, Oryzath watches, looking at said thing, before he reaches over. He knows how much importance his rider puts on those straps. Nibble. *snap* Nibble. *snap* See. All gone. Ilexth can stay here, yes?
Aoi> Nadege sweeps in, like a cold wind, growling and mumbling under her breath all the way.
C'den promptly slips and falls off Ilexth, taking the snapped straps with him. "Ow!" *Clang* "Ow!" Strap buckles are /hard/. Ilexth, though, she warbles her thanks, nuzzling up to Oryzath. My hero!
Around Ilexth, Oryzath is always there to help, lil lady. Just call him the dragon on his white steed. Wait... he had that runner for breakfast. Dark wing hovers over Lex, as he peers down at C'den.
Xaryth just snorts faintly, trundling over towards the entrance to the Weyr. Her whispery-soft creel just barely manages to carry within.
Aoi> There is the faintest hint of a creel from teh bowl.
C'den rubs his head, mumbling irritably. He glares up at that brown, /and/ his lifemate. "Women!" Hmph! Who needs 'em?
Aoi> Charissa looks up to hear grumbling, keels... and was that an oof in the distance? Nah. Couldn't have been. Ahem. "Hullo, Nadage," she hiccups.
Oryzath does. That's why a certain greenrider was left with straps attached to him. Hmmph right back at C'den, a content belch given. Him and his gal.
Aoi> Nadege half-grunts, half-growls something in response, her face set into an angry set of angles as she stomps towards the klah.
Aoi> Elenna sniffs. "He's a wherryheaded dimglow and you're better off without him."
Ilexth pauses to preen that glowy hide, then warbles adoringly up at Oryzath. She ignores her silly rider, and will continue to do so until he behaves.
Aoi> Charissa nods, a hiccup given, blush coming as she covers her mouth. "Oh, excuse me. And you're right. And here I thought..." Sigh. Jerk. "Hopefully he'll leave soon." Uh huh.
Aoi> Elenna hehs. "Exactly."
Oryzath ignores as well. Mostly because he's looking at that green hide. Glowing. Darn near neon. That's what has his attention. Nope. She doesn't get to go anywhere.
Aoi> Charissa sighs, another hiccup given. "Jays, Nadage... you sound like you've run into Cal too." Proddiness abounds. Run!
Aoi> Nadege's eyes flit, narrowed, towards the pair of women, and shr grunts again, answering, "Ilexth." Ooooohkay. Keep givin' those sensible explanations Nadege.
Aoi> Charissa nods slowly. She hasn't had any problems with Lex. Now, her rider... hmmph. "I'm tossing his stuff out." she decides, giving a grin to Elenna. "If you want anything, it'll be flying down soon." Evil, but she sways, heading toward the bowl.
Aoi> Elenna snickers. "Now THAT'S a great idea. Does he have anything good?"
C'den grumbles inaudibly. "Fine! We'll go without straps, then!" Yeah, like Lex is gonna let him do that... But, he's awfully urgent to leave, so the green warbles her apologies to Oryzath, then ducks under that wing. Okay C'den, you're forgiven. Almost.
Aoi> Charissa thinks. "He does have some nice riding jackets." She helped pick them out. "PLenty warm... but I'm going to get that other stuff he has first. Those ugly things...." A shiver, as she moves out. "I'll save the good stuff for you."
You backwing for a landing on Ilexth and Oryzath's ledge.
Aoi> Charissa walks out into the bowl.
You dismount from Ilexth.
C'den and Charissa's Weyr(#514RAJLVe)
You open a door and walk into the inner weyr.
Aoi> "Alright, already!" Nadege exclaims, stomping back towards the bowl with a bowl of stew. Not even any time to take out the tubers.
Aoi> Nadege walks out into the bowl.
Aoi> Elenna follows too. She's gotta see this.
Ilexth> Oryzath backwings for a landing.
Charissa opens the door and walks in from the ledge.
C'den is digging through the press at the foot of the cot.
DTU: Ilexth senses that Oryzath thinks, <
"Gee. Just when I was going to toss the stuff out," Charissa hiccups, as she steps inside the weyr. Her weyr, now.
DTU: Oryzath senses that Ilexth trills shrilly, distraught << He's -- >> Of course, at that suggestion, she calms. << Of course! >> She'll lead the way...
C'den cranes his neck to peer at Charissa. "Oh shut up. I think I'm going to be ill if I even have to hear your voice again." Nice.
Ilexth> Who Knows Weyr:River Lake(#549RJ)
Charissa laughs, though a hiccup and groan ruin the effect. "Believe me, I'll be glad to get a man in here that appreciates me, that trusts me and doesn't go off the deep end every five minutes." Proddiness doesn't count in her book. He's just being a jerk.
Ilexth> Oryzath lumbers in from the bowl, causing ripples across the surface.
"Oh, I'm sure you already have plenty of other men." C'den retorts, calmly. "Not like I care, anyway. I don't need you. I don't need nobody." But he does need better grammar. "Just shut up and leave me alone. I'm going to No or Ista or /somewhere/ as soon as I get all my stuff out." Pity he doesn't have a ride there...
Charissa hmmphs. "Please do. And don't let the curtain hit you on the butt on the way out, buddy." Bravdo fades, since he isn't looking, as she wanders over to her cot. Hers. No person to rest on with her. Sigh. He's leaving. "Just get out." She hasn't noticed, either. Ory always goes to the lake right about now.
C'den rolls his eyes. "I won't." he finishes shoving most of his stuff -- the nice stuff. She can keep the ugly stuff -- into a leather satchel, then slowly rises to his feet. "So long. If I ever see you again, I'll make sure to run the other way." And with that he strides out to the ledge.
On the ledge -- C'den hrms. Something's missing.
Charissa doesn't comment. She thinks he's gone. Facade completely falls, wine getting the better of her as she curls on the cot, sobbing quietly. She'll toss the ugly stuff out later.
On the ledge -- C'den scratches his head. Since when do proddy dragons turn invisible. "Leeeex!" He bellows, certainly loud enough for most, if not all of the Weyr to hear.
Charissa calls back, between sobs, "Get off my ledge! And stop yelling!" Not that she isn't yelling herself. Oh no. Never that.
Ilexth> Oryzath warbles, splashing in the water. Listen? Did he hear something? Nope. Doesn't have ears. Oh well. Splush.
Ilexth> Ilexth splashes merrily. Hear what?
C'den storms back into the weyr, a big huge ball of upset, proddy greenrider rage. "What've you done to my dragon!?" He shouts, all angry-like. He softens though, seeing those tears. He quickly goes back to the tough facade, though. "And it's not /your/ ledge yet. Plus, it was mine first." So there.
Charissa hmmphs, looking away. "Possession is 9/10th's of the law. You're leaving, so it's mine. And I don't know where Lex is. I don't care, as long as you get out." Just don't mind the sniffling. She means it.
"Well I can't /leave/ until you bring Ilexth back!" C'den glares at her, ignoring those tears. And yep, he can blame everything on her, now. Ha. "If you really want me out so much, then I might as well just jump off the ledge!" Don't test him -- he'd end up doing it in his state..
Charissa is so very tempted to. Instead, she offers, "Why don't you just call her, you dimglow! She's not my dragon!" She curls onto /her/ cot, bare feet rubbing. "Just leave me alone."
"I did! She won't come back!" C'den shouts, arms flailing wildly. Goodness, he's angry. "..Dimglow!" He adds, for good measure. "And you can never /know/ how much I want to leave. I /will/ jump off that ledge if she doesn't come back soon."
"Then jump. Just stop breaking my heart.... you... you..." It disolves, tears flowing freely as Charissa's hands cover her face. "I'm not keeping her off from finding you."
C'den blinks at that, arms dropping to his sides. "Stop that." He snaps, trying to look all angry, but it's tough to fight off that hurt expression. "Jays..." He mutters, "Don't pretend that you actually care."
"Just... go away..." A hiccup, then another, as Charissa doesn't even bother to even look his way. "I'll call Ory up if you just /go/!"
"Well... Fine then!" C'den is all angry again, and stomps out to the ledge. He's really jumping now, honest. Erk. She /is/ going to stop him, right?
Maybe. "Cal... don't go... please." It's small, almost unheard, as Charissa sniffles.
C'den didn't hear anything, nope. He's standing at the edge of the ledge, peering down. Erf. Maybe it would be less painfull if he just begged for forgiveness?
Charissa doesn't say another word, instead curling up upon the cot. She can't see him, and she's not about to go out there. She asked him to stay. Not another thing.
Woe. But Cal didn't hear it. Oh well. He sticks one leg out, wiggling his foot around in the air. Well Cal 'ole boy, now's a good time to have second thoughts. He sighs heavily, and sticks that leg out further. Oof! Well, that wasn't a very good idea. He loses his footing and falls half on the ledge half off. "Owwww...." Whine.
Charissa wanders out. She didn't hear the oww. Just the scraping, and she assumes Cal is gone. "Jerk... I thought he loved me. I thought he and I...." She hasn't spied him yet, fingers rubbing away tears.
C'den claws at the rock hurriedly, trying to get back up. "Help." He finally manages to choke that out, but it's barely audible. Claw claw claw...
Charissa turns, looking, before she wanders over to the clawing sound. Only to spy, "Cal!" The word comes out as a strained whisper, as she reaches down to grab. "Give me your other hand, silly!"
C'den clings to that hand, then scrambles up to the ledge, flinging his arms around Charissa in a tight embrace. Oof.
Charissa is caught, blushing completely as she finds herself surrounded by Cal. A cough, as she mentions, "I meant leave on a dragon.... but... I don't want you to go." She doesn't even understand why he went off the deep end.
Carved from volcanic rock, the high vaulted ceilings of the living caverns still manages to retain the heat it once knew. Odd patterns decorate the wall where seams of lava once ran and bubbles, that cooled and popped, create nooks and crannies which are dotted with useful items. Various tapestries of past Weyrwomen regale the walls, softening them in colours of muted cornelian-reds and brimstone-yellows. Clattering dishes and chattering weyrfolk fill the air with sound and there's hardly an hour when the smell of food doesn't waft temptingly out of the kitchens. The large room is filled with tables, and habit dictates that one is reserved for the leaders of the Weyr, others for riders, staff, residents, though often people gather together companionably. Klah and juice pitchers are scattered about the room, whilst a few tables hold snack food. More substantial meals can be found in the kitchens, which lies through two swinging doors, almost constantly in use. Two carved arches are set across the cavern from each other, one leading out to the bowl, the other inwards towards the inner caverns.

A ribbon silvery water runs from under the Weyr proper, slipping through the landscape as if avoiding capture. Neatly bisecting the two bowls, the river drops down the odd weir or two, causing more turbulent water as it slowly gathers pace, before finally dropping over the rugged cliffs that run alongside the bowl, a sheet of crashing water falling to the ocean below. The largest of the bisected bowls, this one is frequently dotted with sunning dragons, some even daring to look over the rocky promontories of the cliff faces. All around is a blanket of verdant greens, the olive-green of moss speckling small hilltops, whilst emerald-greens flush out the plains. A stone bridge speckled with lichen spans the two bowls crossing the river, whilst in front the entrance to the Weyr rises -- the living cavern entrance a dark, cavernous opening, whilst above the river a ledge seems to float, usually occupied by a basking gold dragon.

A large cot situated near the center of the weyr has replaced the small broken one that had once been there, with pillows of all shapes, sizes and colors strewn about it. At the foot of the cot is a large woven basket where two sleeping felines can often be found. A woven tapestry of a green and brown dragon the length of the entire wall hangs above the cot, probably the only thing in the weyr that isn't too horribly gaudy or tacky. Several holes in the walls provide perfect perches for firelizards.
