M'ko wanders in, waving idly to those present. "Good evening.." Green eyes fall on Decata, and he promptly whirls around on his heels and heads out to the bowl.

Decata goes south.
Decata has arrived.

Decata hurries out, finding you with Vindrith's assistance. She still holds the redfruit she'd been tossing idly as she sprawled in a chair.

M'ko is scurrying across the bowl, and tries to scramble up onto Eshoth's straps without getting caught.

Decata calmly wanders over to Vindrith, whistling and beginning to toss her redfruit again. She takes a bite, before tossing it away and climbing up.

Eshoth> Vindrith projects to Eshoth, << Where's your rider planning to go? >>

Decata climbs up to Vindrith's neck and settles between two neck ridges securely.
Decata has left.

Vindrith trills softly as her rider seats herself safely.

Eshoth(#325OVapqs$)
You eventually reach Eshoth's neck.
Eshoth> M'ko has arrived.
*=> M'ko looked at Eshoth.

On the ground:> Eshoth rumbles softly once his rider is safely on his neck.

Eshoth> Vindrith senses that Eshoth rumblesnickers. << He says he is.. scared. >>

You launch and rise toward the sky.
Sky Over Ierne Weyr
The Weyr stretches out below, with people scurrying around and firelizards playing airtag. From this vantage point all of the outdoor areas can be seen, as can the beaches and ocean to the south. The air here is somewhat colder, but not as unbearably cold and thin as above the bowls in the mainland Weyrs, which reside inside the calderas. Indeed here there is rarely reason to rise to a level which would put a dragon over the mountain's peak.

Dragons and firelizards can fly south to the Beach Sky, southeast to Ongola Hold, southwest to the Unified Crafthall, or Down to one of the many areas in the bowl. There are also Individual Weyrs dotting the mountain face.

On the ground:> Vindrith rises from the center bowl.

You land on one of the ledges.

Eshoth> Vindrith projects to Eshoth, << Do you mind if I follow you? Decata and I are bored." She sounds a little confused as she asks, "Why would he be scared? Decata is not scarey." >>

Eshoth> Vindrith senses that Eshoth projects thoughts that are tinged green with confusion. << I do not know why. He will not say. I would like you to visit me, Vindrith... >> Though is lifemate feels...differently.

Vindrith lands on the ledge.
Vindrith has arrived.

From Vindrith's neck, Decata grins broadly as she slides down from Vin's neck, "Eshoth invited Vindrith over. Hope you don't mind..." There is a wicked gleam in her eyes.

M'ko spots Vindrith and scurries over to the bed. Blast. He's too darn big to hide under it.

Decata slides down Vindrith's side with the help of a green foreleg.
Decata has arrived.

Vindrith settles herself down comfortably once her rider is safely on the ground.

Vindrith scoots over to Eshoth, trilling a polite greeting as she watches her rider with a bit of confusion.

Eshoth rumbles softly, stretching his pale brown wings and casually ambling over to Vindrith.

M'ko sighs heavily and spins back around. "What do you /want/?!" Pleasant as ever...

Decata affects an innocent, taken aback sort of expression as she blinks. "Now Moe, that's not very nice of you, you know." She sniffs derisively, "You could take a few lessons from your dragon your know. He has a very nice temperament." Stepping forward a little more, she says, "I was concerned about you. Is something wrong?"

Vindrith croons sweetly up at the brown, her tail sneaking about to tap lightly at his as it sways.

Concerned. Sure. Moe looks awfully skeptical as he smirks at the offending greenrider. "There's nothing wrong with me."

Decata harumphs softly, "So you're always cold as between and sour as citron, then?" She tsks, "I feel sorry for Eshoth then. He's such a sweet thing."

Blunt, ain't she?

Olive-green eyes narrow as arms cross in front of his chest. Hmph. "Yes. He's wonderful. And I'm not cold or sour." Moe says, well, coldly. "I just don't like you."

For a moment, it seems Decata might not react at all, then she puts on her best hurt look (which is pretty good, I might add). Disappointment floods in, and she turns, letting her body droop as she trudges over towards Vindrith. "Come on Vindrith, we're leaving. Seems M'ko only has a use for me when I've got wine for him to hog."

Vindrith's head droops a little, and she looks from Eshoth to her rider, to M'ko, and back to the other two. Finally, she rests her eyes on Decata and croooons? But I don't want to leave...

M'ko tries to look all mean and nasty, but his features soften as he sighs, chewing on his bottom lip. "Oh /shards/.." He sighs, rolling his eyes. "I didn't mean it like /that/.."

Eshoth croons sweetly at Vindrith, poking her with a leaf-brown wingtip. Hey, you don't /have/ to leave, you know.

Eshoth> Vindrith projects to Eshoth, << Decata says I have to leave... *pout* >>
Eshoth> Vindrith projects to Eshoth, << She says your rider is mean. >>

Vindrith cuddles a little closer to Eshoth as Decata approaches her side. Do we have to?

Decata turns back towards M'ko, putting her hands on her hips, "And just how /did/ you mean it? There aren't a lot of ways to take 'I don't like you'."

Eshoth> Vindrith senses that Eshoth snorts, red-tinged thoughts almost indignant. << He is not.. >>

M'ko blinks, then looks down at the ground, idly kicking at an invisible pebble. "Well, what I meant was... I mean, what I meant to say..." He looks up, glaring again, "Oh, why do you care, anyway?"

Eshoth> Eshoth senses that Vindrith withdraws a little, then her heady, rich voice is back in your mind, almost enough to make one drunken, "I did not say it. She did. And he is being mean to her, she says."

Eshoth> Vindrith senses that Eshoth rumbles softly, though still somewhat indignant. << He is just... confused. >> Of course, he didn't /ask/ his lifemate.. He's just defending him.

Decata had started to let up on the tormenting, but with your last statement, she stiffens her resolve to be entirely hurt and sniffly. "Because Vindrith will be upset if she and Eshoth can't spend time together, anymore. That's why." She sniffs softly, pausing before adding, "That, and I thought you were my friend."

Eshoth> Vindrith projects to Eshoth, << Confused about what? >>

M'ko blinks again, his frown confused, instead of angry. "What? Don't be silly. I don't have any friends... Just Eshoth."

Decata snorts quietly, turning back to pull herself up on Vindrith's back, "I'm sorry you feel that way. Guess I was deluded, then." To her surprise, however, Vindrith refuses to leave. Her eyes go distant as she converses with her lifemate for a moment. With a snort, she states, "He doesn't /want/ to talk about it Vindrith. There's nothing I can do about it if he doesn't want to be friends with me. I know you want to stay and talk with Eshoth...."

M'ko's brows furrow as he frowns. "I didn't say that!" He exclaims, stomping right over to Vindrith and her rider. "I didn't say I didn't /want/ to, I just said that I didn't have any friends. And I don't." His scowl turns into a half-hearted pout as he kicks violently at the air. "Nobody's ever wanted to be friends with /me/." He snorts, leaning against a wall of the weyr.

Decata turns, her voice smooth and even, facade dropped. "Perhaps you've simply never allowed them to be your friend, or to want to."

M'ko blinks, then shakes his head vigorously. "No, /no/. They were wrong. All of them. They were scared." He scowls, immediately rushing over to Eshoth, snuggling into the soft pale brown hide. "But I don't care. Eshoth is all I need."

Decata's voice is still mild, her manner the same, as she asks, "Wrong about what, M'ko?"

M'ko rolls his eyes. "/You/ are wrong. I never did anything to any of the others at Igen.." ..Except give a few of them fat lips..

Decata rolls her eyes, and shakes her head, "Well, whatever. You don't like me, so I'll leave you alone. I really had hoped we'd be friends. I thought we were."

M'ko shakes his head quickly. "No.. We were just... Candidates and Weyrlings together. That's all." He snuggles into Eshoth, the brown raising a wing to camaflauge is lifemate. "'Sides.. You don't really like me, anyway. You're just bein' nice." Yup.. He actually used the word 'nice' to describe Decata..

Decata snorts softly, "Think what you like, I can't change that." Vindrith doesn't seem anymore set to leave than before.

M'ko looks up and repeats, "Why do you care, anyway?" He doesn't understand this whole 'friend' concept. Eshoth rumbles pleasantly at Vindrith. She made the right choice, yup.

Decata crosses her arms. "That's what friends do, M'ko. They care."

M'ko blinks. He's awfully confused.. He peers up at Decata, frowning slightly. "Friends? Do you really mean it?

Decata's eyes flit up to the cavern ceiling again, and she nods, "Yes, M'ko, I do."

M'ko actually... smiles. "Wow. I've never had a real friend before. Well, maybe Zal.. and maybe Rim.." Brownriders have to stick together, after all..

Decata harumphs softly, "I was your friend during weyrling training."

M'ko grins. "Well, so were they."

Decata slides slowly from Vindrith's back, much to the dragon's pleasure, and holds out a hand. "Friends then."

M'ko smirks, but reaches out, getting a firm grip on her hand. "All right."

Decata smirks right back (So nyah!), getting a somewhat smug, pleased look from her dragon.

Eshoth> Vindrith projects to Eshoth, << Told you it would work. >>

Eshoth> Vindrith senses that Eshoth rumbles his agreement. << Yes.. You're very smart, Vindrith. >>

Eshoth> Eshoth senses that Vindrith preens a little, "Thank you."
