Harper/Healer -- Great Hall(#197RJM)
A large echoing room used for both daily socializing in free time and and the occasional hallwide meeting. A platform for special speakers is at one end, and numerous tables and chairs are grouped around it for listeners. There are also a few cozy nooks in the corners with soft rugs, low tables, and comfortable chairs for casual use. These are usually filled at odd hours of the day and night by healers taking a break from different shifts in the infirmary and harpers keeping them company. A small table near the front of the hall contains an ever-warm pot of klah and usually various things to eat for those who miss dining hours.
Double doors lead out to the courtyard. A curtain at the back of the hall hides a skinny arch to the back hallway, and a small door on the west wall leads to the office hallway.

"Well, I guess I haven't seen Halsian in a few days.. I've been rather busy.. and..." Juliena tapers off, her mind just starting to take in what exactly that last tidbit of information meant. "He..Halsian?" She blinks repeatedly, and shakes her head once or twice. "/Halsian/ was promoted?" Her mouth hangs open for a fraction of a second. "I..I.."
Halsian walks in just in time, apparently. He waves to Lisinda then brightens, seeing Juliena. "Juliena? What a coincidence, I was just on my way to Keroon to gather the rest of my things and.... What's wrong?" He asks, frowning with concern.
Lisinda mmhms, off in dreamland again it seems. "Huh? Oh yes, he was," she looks up. "Oh Master Halsian, I thought P'rsons would have taken you home by now."
A bit of a mindfreeze, possibly? "Halsian?" Juliena hurries over toward him, and twines her fingers around his. "Ooh, I..I just never expected.. I'm sure they must have just not given you much of a chance to tell anybody." She breathes out a sigh of relief.
Lisinda is still thinking of other things, so the tension in the rooms go completely over her head. "Yes, and he's the new craftsecond too," she says, not thinking that this isn't the best news Juliena would've heard all day.
Halsian smiles brightly at Juliena, nodding. "Yes.. I haven't left the hall since I was.. promoted." He points to his new masters knot, blushing a bit and grinning sheepishly. "Pretty spiffy, huh?" He just shakes his head to Lisinda. "No, not yet.."
Lisinda wanders over to the table, her mind already back to whatever is preoccupying it so fiercely. After dropping Halsian in it so neatly, she's left him to fend for himself, it seems. It's not intentionally done. She is /rather/ distracted after all.
Juliena will approach this in a perfectly calm and logical fashion, of course. "A Master? And Craftsecond?" Her gaze swivels to Lisinda, then whips back. "You..you won't be at Keroon anymore..You'll have to live, here?" She swallows, and shuts her eyes.
"Well..." Halsian starts, slowly. "I won't /live/ at Keroon anymore. But," He smiles, and his tone brightens as he says, "I can visit.. If you'd like." He finishes lamely, blushing even more.
Lisinda mutters to herself. "I wonder why P'rsons hasn't taken him back yet. Maybe he didn't leave after all," she looks around as if she might spot the bronzerider then and there. Yes, she's totally oblivious to the spot she's put Halsian in.
"But.." Juliena opens her eyes, uncertainty, a touch of anger, perhaps. "It's so far to travel.. and.." She straightens, unhappy, but she gives him a soft kiss. "I'm..I'm happy for you." A grin, really. "I'm sure that.. I'll come here, and you to Keroon, whenever we can."
Halsian blushes, deep enough for it to be obvious, even with his dark complexion. "I.. I.. I..." He trips over his tongue several times before simply giving a nod.
Lisinda wanders to look out the door. No no P'rsons there. Thought he'd left. Maybe there's some other woman he had to say goodbye to before he left. Hmm. She kinda catches the gist of the conversation. The words, but not the undercurrents. "Oh but you've got a sevenday's holiday now. You didn't tell Juliena that."
Juliena blushes deeply herself, but it hardly takes much for a blush to be noticed on her skin. "It was a bit of a shock, you know. I didn't even know there was a new Master until Renkin sent me note by firelizard.. and I certainly didn't know it was you." She sighs, but smiles.
Lisinda morosely heads back to the table. She's not paying much attention to the other two. "If he wasn't going you'd think he'd've told me," she mutters to herself. To between with the classes that dragged her away!
Halsian glances toward Lisinda, his eyes widening. "Oh, right.. I'd forgotten." His eyes turn back to Juliena, glowing their soft, familiar amber as he asks, "Juliena, I'd be honored to spend my sevenday in your wonderful company." He bows, raising her hand to his lips.
Lisinda looks at Halsian. "Did P'rsons come to see you?" she asked. "I thought he'd left." She frowns disappointedly, and then notices the hand to the lips. She's too distracted to be subtle. "I didn't know you two were involved," she says. OOC: Lisinda giggles.
Another blush.. she's going to just forget about Lisinda for right now.. She nods gracefully, and her mouth opens in a beautiful smile. "So kind of you, Halsian, I'm sure.." She seems about to say something else, but something about the number of people behind her is enough to make her blush again, or maybe that's from Lisinda's comment.
Halsian blushes again and shrugs to Lisinda. "I told him to go ahead without me.. I wasn't quite ready to leave, yet."
Lisinda ohs disappointedly at Halsian's comment, and sets off to study the pretty patterns on the table. Every now and again she mutters something to herself the word "P'rsons" seeming to be the most commonly spoken.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Juliena might have more than enough on her mind right now, but sometimes weird just gets a bit too weird. Still, she doesn't move from Halsian's side.
Lisinda hrms? Someone's talking to her? Oh, it's Juliena. The words finally sink in. She blushes. "Yes I'm fine," she says. "Um... I've just got a lot on my mind is all...." she trails off already distracted again. OOC: Lisinda laughs. Lisi's always really annoying in this mood.
"As long as you're sure.." Halsian says to Lisinda. His hand still remains clasped around Juliena's and he tugs lightly, to bring her closer to him. "So, where shall we spend our vacation?" He asks her, smiling.
Lisinda looks up at them. "Oh you've got a vacation too, Juliena? Maybe the two of you could spend it together," man she's weird today.
Juliena blinks back to the here and now. "A full sevenday?" Her first words come out on a thoughtful note, long. "I've heard South Boll is a nice place..Or maybe Nerat." She leans her head against his shoulder. "Wherever we want.." She smiles, her icy blue eyes soft. Juliena coughs slightly, blushing though she doesn't look at Lisinda at all.
Meanwhile Lisinda is smiling to herself. Whatever it is about, it's a fond smile, and doesn't seem to have anything to do with anyone present at the moment. But they can think that if they like
Halsian casually drapes an arm over Juliena's shoulders and smiles as he pulls her closer. "Wherever you'd like.."
Lisinda mutters, not really paying attention. "The hall could always do with more weavers," she says. This has absolutely nothing to do with the conversation at hand, but she isn't paying enough attention to notice.
"South Boll would be nicer, I'm sure." Juliena smiles warmly. "It shouldn't take us long to get there either."
She keeps right next to him, he's not leaving her sight for a little while at least. Lisinda's comment makes her pause for a moment, but she's not really thinking too much about her at the moment.
Halsian smiles and nods to Juliena. "Yes.. I've never been there, you know." He muses, then suddenly becomes quite interested in Lisinda's muttering. "More weavers? Here?" He glances back and forth between Lisinda and Juliena, eyes wide.
Lisinda looks up. "Are we getting more weavers?" she asks, surprised. "We could sure do with some."
"What about more weavers?" Juliena turns her attention to whatever Halsian's looking at..Lisinda right now. She shakes her head.. "I was just promoted, I'd have to ask the Masters.. They're not going to want me leaving so soon."
