East Beach
As with the other beaches, this one is composed of a fairly course sand. White and black grains mix with the predominant sandy brown to give a specked appearance, and some mica-like flakes catch glints of sunlight occasionally. Deposits of seaweed and driftwood often appear on the shore, and almost as often are washed back to sea by the next wave. The beach stretches far to the east, with dunes peppering and area just before a sheer cliff.
To the west is the main beach, and to the east is the beginning of the forest which leads to the Hold. The Weyrling training field is to the north, and shallow water perfect for bathing dragonets in is to the south.

M'ko is settled on the sands of the beach, idly watching Belior, bright in the sky, while Eshoth splashes merrily in the water. He catches his lifemate off-guard in the dark, though.. Splash-splash. "Jeeze, Eshoth! ...At least let me take some of my clothes off before you start splashing!" ...So... Off goes the shirt.
Rulita looks up at the familiar voice, and immediately pales. "Mo," breathed oh so softly.
M'ko chuckles lightly, tossing that tunic and moving toward the shallows -- toward Eshoth. He stops midstride, though, as Eshoth rumbles a faint greeting at that other person on the beach. "Hello? ...Who's there?" He wonders aloud, the corners of his mouth twitching into a frown.
Rulita just stares at him. "Mo?" a little louder, and she's pale. She swallows "Maybe this was a bad idea," but she seems rooted to the spot.
M'ko blinks at that, green eyes glowing eerily in the moonlight. He steps closer, eyes narrowing as he tries to focus in on... "'Lita? ...Is that you?" Quietly, under his breath, "...Couldn't be."
Rulita just stands there, trembling. "Mo?" my my, articulate isn't she.
M'ko blinks again. "I don't believe it...." He mumbles quietly. "It's been... Turns, at least."
Rulita looks lovely, anyway. "I do live here on the island Mo," softly, after not so long. "I wondered about you."
M'ko frowns. Darkly. "So do I." He notes, bitterly. At that last bit, though, he blinks. "Wondered? ....Only wondered?"
Rulita doesn't answer that one. "I guess," miserably "You've been too busy to think about me."
M'ko scowls. "Of course I think about you. All the time...." Nothing better to do. After a moment he admits sheepishly, "...I've missed you... It's been long. Too long."
Rulita looks up, smiles like she'd like to believe it, but then, sighs. "What about your greenrider, Mo? The one you left me for?"
M'ko blinks. "What Greenrider? What in Faranth's name are you talking about?"
Rulita blinks at him. "Her, the one who didn't like me," she looks really upset. "The one you..." tears roll down her cheeks. "I would've given anything to be with you, Mo."
M'ko frowns thoughtfully. "Decata?" He heaves a sigh, shaking his head slowly. "I didn't.. I mean... I didn't mean to her.. And I /was/ with her first, then /she/ left /me/..." Siiiigh. At that last bit his cheeks flush faintly. "You're only fooling yourself... And me. You don't really care about me. YOu never did. /No one/ ever has... Not even Decata. Not even my family... Just Eshoth."
Rulita shakes her head. "How can you say that to me, Mo? You have no idea how it tore me apart to hear that you walked away from me to her bed."
M'ko's eyes close. "I thought... I thought she might have wanted me back... I didn't want to risk being hurt by you.. Or hurting you."
Rulita just looks really white. "you've no idea how much you hurt me. I never..." she folds her arms "you were the first man I ever loved. And," she shrugs "I came second to someone who didn't want you anyway." She frowns. "And now... are you with her now, Mo?"
M'ko flops back down on the sand, then, sighing. "And /you/ just... Just walked away, and..." He blinks, then, peering up at her. "With her? With /Decata/?" He heaves another sigh, burrying his face in his hands. "Of course not. She's still with him... And I still don't know just what she was after, when she was after me... She... She told me she loved me."
Rulita can't seem to move, she's swallowing "Did you expect me to stay when you didn't want me?"
"I never said I didn't want you..." Moe points out, softly, head still in hands. A moment later he adds, "I never said /I/ didn't love /you/, but..." He sighs again. "I'd heard about you... About you being made Master. So..." Siiiigh. "...It doesn't matter much, anymore, anyway."
Rulita walks closer now, mesmerised perhaps. "And do you think I left because I didn't love you?"
M'ko's shoulders rise and fall in a shrug. "I don't know.. What else was I supposed to think? ...I never should have, with Decata, but... But I didn't guard my feelings so much, then... I though everything she said to me -- about love... I thought it might be true." Another sigh escapes him as he notes, "It really doesn't matter. We can't ever be together... Not often enough... We're in different worlds, now, 'Lita..."
Rulita reaches for his hand. "And now, look what she's done to you," and the hand moves so that instead of reaching for his, it, if he lets her, gently traces the line of his chin. "And you deserve so much more."
M'ko shakes his head, slowly, red hair falling across his face, covering those closed green eyes. "No, I don't... I'm lucky to have Eshoth..." He stiffens faintly, at her touch.
Rulita doesn't move her hand though, it just rests on his chin, fingers splay out gently caressing under it as they just gently touch under it. "I've changed," she murmurs.
M'ko blinks, peering up at her, then. "...Changed? What do you mean?"
Rulita drops her hand, having his gaze "I'm more," she frowns "I have responsibilites I never used to have. I'm not the shy girl you knew. Maybe you won't like the changes."
M'ko shakes his head again. "I always liked you, 'Lita... Whether you knew it or not... I wouldn't stop, now..." Now /he/ raises a hand to her cheek, touching it softly.
Rulita swallows, she looks, despite her proud words, so very uncertain. "I loved you," she murmurs, and that hand, well hers covers his.
M'ko's voice softens significantly, as he takes that hand, now, squeezing it gently. "....Only love/d/?" He wonders, voice barely a whisper. He doesn't give her a chance to answer, though, leaning closer, then closer yet. And finally, /finally/ he presses his lips to hers.
Rulita closes her eyes, and well, since she can't exactly talk right now, the way she wraps her arms around him, moving in closer, and returning the kiss, as much as she can, since it's obvious that even now, after all this time, she hasn't had much experience with this. Hands clutch around him.
M'ko breaks that kiss, then, eyes lowering. His head pulls away, though not the rest of his body as he mutters softly, "...Sorry."
Rulita oh faranths, about as much of a curse as you're likely to get from her. "Don't," she says. "Don't pretend I didn't want you to," and her arms stay wrapped around him, slight pressure, just the slightest towards her.
M'ko blushes faintly at that, letting himself get pulled closer, and closer.. . And then he kisses her again.
Rulita kisses him right back, and sorta moves now so she's more in his lap than anything else. All while still kissing. Clever, hm?
M'ko breaks away again, running his big fingers gently through her hair. "I /have/ missed you..." He mutters, quietly.
Rulita is breathing a little more heavily than normal. "I..." after a moment "I thought you'd come if well, if it didn't work with her."
