~Fighting Girl Juline~
Last updated : April 8, 1998

Kakutou-Komusume Jyurin (Fighting Girl Juline) is another series by Kakinouchi currently published monthly in AMIE magazine. It was first pulished in AMIE February'97 issue. The art is not Kakinouchi's best, but it is enjoyable. The characters are unique.

A little information about Juline

The characters in Feb. illustration:

  • Houkyou Biyakuya
  • Kenga Juline
  • Suishou Seika
  • These three are the main characters in the story. The other group, called "Kokujyukan", wants to collect three Godly items to become the King of kungfu world.

Juline and friends are protecting three godly items:

  • Houkyou (a mirror)
  • Kenga (a sword )
  • Suishou (a crystal)
  • *Notice the similarities of the godly items to the family name of the three main characters.

Kenga Juline is a member of Kengakan (A "house" where the sword is).
Suishou Seika is member of Suishoukan (A "house" where the crystal ball is).
Houkyou Biyaku ya is member of Houkyoukan (A "house" where the mirror is).
Each character is protecting one godly item.

"House" in this term is more like an organization.

Juline herself practices martial arts (might be chinese martial art since there are several chinese words used). She has a male friend named Ki Ou, also practices martial art, who seems to like her. There is another character named Ryoku Ha who seems to be Juline's sempai. The leader of Kokujyukan (in April illustration 1) is an ambiguous character. We are not sure about her (his) gender, and the book has not mentioned her (his) name yet.

Thanks to R.D.E. who provides most of the infomation on Juline. These are the information available until now. I will put more information and pictures from the next issues if I got my hand on them.

Due to the lack of Japanese knowledge, I apologize if there's a mistake in interpreting the story.
Please do give me corrections, comments or more information about the gist of this story.

    Thank you in advance.
