Differences between anime and mangachronological details |
Here in chronological order, the differences of the manga in comparison to the anime, up to around half of the seventh volume included (just before the beginning of the final saga, the brother/sister story):
At the beginning of the manga, Miki's mother says her (or better, she orders her) to not fall in love with Yuu (see in the curiosities). In the anime this is said only in episode #73.
The fake quarrel of the episode #8 in the manga happens a little after the beginning, almost immediately.
Miki doesn't see any photo of Arimi before meeting her at the amusement park (with Yuu).
In the anime the celebration in episode #11 is the Yuu's birthday, while in the manga it's Christmas. Miki and Yuu were surely at "dangerous" distance ^___^; but they weren't about to kiss when the bell rings.
Yuu, one of the first times in which he goes in the library, takes a book written by Satoshi's father.
When Arimi confesses her feelings for Yuu to Miki and then she races to Yuu crying, she doesn't kisses him.
Satoshi doesn't woo Meiko before Namura is gone away. Rather, before it we never see Satoshi and Meiko talk together. (The first time that this happens is when Miki goes to visit Yuu at the Junk Jungle.)
Meiko doesn't kiss Namura when he departs with the train.
The first time that Satoshi appears in the manga is in the library and he talks with Yuu.
The trip to the sea, in which Yuu explains to Miki that he believes to be child of Satoshi's father, it is a scholastic trip, and the facts are a little bit different: Miki goes around with her group but she gets lost and meets Yuu (who were in another group). Miki tries to run away from him when first Arimi and then Tsutomu arrive. But Arimi, realized that Yuu has eyes only for Miki, leaves them alone, she casually meets Ginta and they talk about the renouncements to their respective targets (that is Yuu and Miki). At evening, Yuu and Miki go out together and Yuu talks to her about Satoshi's father.
The Arimi fan club appears when (in another day) Ginta and Arimi are talking, she is sad and he is about to put a hand on her shoulder (the hand that is moving by itself! ^__^;;;).
We don't see Suzu that choose Yuu seeing him in a photo on Chiyako's work desk, instead Suzu that shows a Yuu's photo to Satoshi convinced that he didn't already know him.
After the supper with the parents at the restaurant (when Miki thinks again about the events of the four parents), at the park Yuu gives to Miki a bracelet.
When Miki falls from the staircase at Bobson's she loses the bracelet that Yuu had given her and Kei picks it up (and he keeps it...).
A little time after Miki is assumed at Bobson's, Yuu, Ginta and Meiko go to visit her and it's the first time that Kei sees Yuu.
When Suzu discovers Kei and Miki together, the order is inverted: Miki faints near Bobson's exit while she was about to return home, Kei succors her and Suzu sees them. In an following occasion Miki sees Kei going to the Lizard and she follows him.
There isn't neither scholastic festival nor Halloween party
and relative situations. Suzu goes to the Toryo to take a look around and
she finds Meiko there. Misunderstanding some Meiko's words (that were thinking
of Namura), Suzu believes that Meiko is fallen in love with Yuu (!) and she
decides to give her a hand, designing a plan to make Yuu and Meiko go out
alone. Suzu asks Yuu to accompany her to the art museum with Meiko because
Suzu wanted to know her better but she didn't feel to go alone... but then
at the lasti minute Suzu pretends to have a suddent appointment, she tags
after Yuu and Meiko and photographs them together. Then she goes to Bobson's
and shows the photo to Miki.
In the manga Kei lives alone in an apartment. In the anime, in the first season, nothing tells if he does or he doesn't live alone, while in the second season he lives with his parents.
Yuu never sees Miki and Kei embraced.
Miki is thinking about the photo that Suzu had shown her when Yuu asks her where the bracelet is and he accuses her to have a behavior that encourages the boys to woo her. Then Miki talks to him about the photo taken by Suzu and Yuu denies everything, getting a bit angry because Miki doubts of him. The voices become loud and the discussion terminates with Miki tah says: "I don't want to go to any trip with you!" and Yuu: "and who wanted to bring you!".
Miki, talking to the telephone to Meiko, understands how the things are and to have made a mistake with Yuu.
Miki, discovered that Yuu has departed without her, become angry because he hasn't even left her a written line of regard and she goes to Kei's apartment decided to have the bracelet returned. First he denies, but when Miki breaks out in tears Kei surrenders and returns it. Kei tells her that he loves her, he explains her to feel alone and he grabs, her but she slaps him saying to not behavior as a child and to return to play the piano. Kei is disappointed.
Suzu, trying to convince Satoshi to not woo Meiko, comes to know about Namura and she understands to have done a big mistake... ^_^;; so she goes to apology, accompanied with Satoshi, to Miki who also clarifies the misunderstanding of when she fainted.
Yuu phones Miki to tell her that he is returning and they make peace. Yuu says her that he didn't gone to Kitakyushu (the place that were settled for the famous trip for two) and he accords with Miki to meet her at the train station.
Because of lack of Yuu's vacations, the trip is postponed. ^_^;
Meiko was surely encouraged from Satoshi, but _she_ enrolled herself at the literary contest.
When Meiko wins, no telegram of congratulations arrives from Namura.
In a cafe Ginta gets courage and he declares his love to Arimi in a quite abrupt way... she doesn't almost make time to say him "also I" that he kisses her. She says that it was her first kiss and she asks if it is the same for Ginta, who instead admits that he already kissed Miki. Then Arimi thinks over a little, grabs Ginta, kisses him again and she affirms "now it's 2 vs 1 for me!". ^_^;;; - At Hiroshima, Meiko tries to convince Namura, but he endure up to when she's nearly to go away: then Namura asks Meiko to stay and two become reconciled.
At Yuu and Miki's home Eisaku, a Chiyako's childhood friend, arrives with his two twin daughters Maho and Mayu, and they stay for some days. The two twin immediately discover Yuu and Miki kissing... ^__ ^; and to keep the mouth closed they force Yuu and Miki to accompany them to the amusement park... ^_^;;;;;; - Ginta and Arimi talk to Tsutomu, but he's disappointed about the news of their engagement.
Yuu, misunderstanding some words about Eisaku's past, believes that he could be his father, but at the moment of Eisaku's departure, Yuu asks explanations and the misunderstanding is clarified.
