Welcome to part 4 of this little fanfic. I really hope you have liked it
so far. Wasn't the last part exciting? Good. Due to one scene (and you
should imagine it using very good mental camera angles to avoid seeing
everything), and some graphic violence, I must rate this as PG-15. Or, if
you want, you can call it NC-17. I don't care. But I think that's pushing
it. Without further ado, I present the exciting conclusion to....

				The Call of Destiny
				         Part 4

Serena awoke to find that everything was hazy. Her vision was blurred.
Nothing but mere outlines of things... Shadows where people should be.
Her hearing was intact, however. She could hear what the people were
saying.
"This is surprising. There's no brain damage, and the concussion seems to
be disappearing at an accelerated rate. She could wake up soon."
"That's good." Serena knew that second voice! Rei!
"That's a relief." Darien! Her vision started coming back. She noticed
that only the backs of the three people were facing her. They hadn't seen
her eyes open. Serena opened her mouth to speak, but found that she was
too weak to talk. She noticed Rei was sitting.
"And you," the doctor said, turning his attention to Rei. "Make sure you
stay off that foot. The more it rests the faster that bone will reconnect
itself."
	"Right."
< Rei's leg is broken? > Serena found enough strength to groan. Darien
was the first to turn. He saw her open eyes.
"Serena! You're awake!" The doctor turned, and Rei turned her
wheel-chair as fast as she could. Serena nodded slightly.
"Serena," Rei said. "Can you speak?" A simple shake of the head.
"Oh..."
"All right. I'm going to go to another patient. You two can stay for a
few minutes, but then she needs her rest."
"All right," Darien and Rei said in unison. The doctor left and Darien
and Rei looked at Serena. They were glad to see she was doing better. And
now she was awake.
"Serena," Darien said. "...Sailor Moon..." Serena's eyes widened from
surprise. "I saw you power down while you were unconcious. I know who
everybody is."
"Serena," Rei said. "Darien, er, Tuxedo Mask, killed Zoisite. But...
The Negaverse still got the crystals." Serena could show no response.
"Well," Darien said. "We'll be going now. You need your rest." Darien
wheeled Rei out after they both said goodbye.

Serena laid on the hospital bed, staring at the ceiling. She couldn't
sleep. She HAD to get up. She had to go help the Soldiers. She had a
fight to finish! She had no strength.
Serena found it impossible to get up. Each time she tried, she only got
her head a couple of inches from the pillow before collapsing back down. <
Damn it! > Serena turned to look out the window. There was nothing she
could do. < All right guys. It's up to you. Don't let them win... >

Malachite had just finished his report to Queen Beryl. Despite her words,
she seemed to not care that Zoisite had been killed.
"Such a pity. He showed so much promise." Malachite agreed there. But
he knew that Beryl did not care. As long as the crystals were in her
hands, she could then use them to free Metallia. Malachite guessed Beryl
was trying to focus on the positive. He was wrong.
< Not that I CARE that he died. The crystals are here now. > Beryl
looked at Malachite. "Now, Malachite. I recently saw Tuxedo Mask with my
powers. And I saw him power down. I now know who he is, and I know I want
him brought here."
"My queen, he's responsible for Zoisite's death. I feel we should kill
him along with the Soldiers."
"No! Tuxedo Mask is known as Darien in his world. And I know his face.
It is the face of Prince Endymion. He will be brought here to rule the
Negaverse and his world by my side."
Malachite boiled inside. < STUPID!! He needs to DIE!! > "Very well, my
queen." Malachite disappeared.

Malachite appeared in a dark room. It was lit a little, but an ordinary
person would have had trouble seeing. He walked over to a picture on the
western wall. On it was Zoisite, standing next to him.
"Zoisite... No matter what, I will avenge you. Your death will not be in
vain..." Malachite held the picture in his hands. He clutched it close to
his chest; close to his heart. His eyes flashed. "I WILL kill Tuxedo
Mask. Even if it means I must die at Beryl's hands."

Darien sat on his sofa, taking his bandage off. It stuck a little to his
burns, but other than that, the bandage came right off. The whole time, he
was thinking about Serena. Every time he started thinking of her, he
remembered the dream. He saw the girl with long pig-tails. Then,
suddenly, it occurred to him.
"Oh my Gosh! Could... could SERENA be the girl in my dreams?" He
immediately transformed into Tuxedo Mask; he would get to her sooner this
way. He had to see Serena. He had to see if he was right.

Serena was in a pure-white... something. It wasn't a room, but it didn't
exactly feel like empty space, either. She was floating in the air. She
felt air go against her bare feet. Why were her feet bare?
She looked down to see that she was naked. This alarmed her at first, but
then her alarm was calmed. < I am alone in this place. No one will see
me. > She let her guard down and started enjoying this serene place. She
closed her eyes and let the whiteness of it wrap around her body. She felt
something coming toward her.
Serena opened her eyes to see a bright white light, brighter and whiter if
that was possible to conceive, rushing straight for her. She saw it coming
closer, closer... It hit her and wrapped around her. Her body was glowing
white. It almost blinded her. She felt power surging through her. And
when the light faded, so did everything.

Serena shot up in bed, and noticed her surroundings. She was alone in her
dimly lit hospital room. "What... What the...?" Then it hit her. "I
can talk!" She felt renewed. Like some other life form had given all its
energy to her. She got out of bed.
< The doctors will never let me leave... > She heard someone pull up
outside. A motorcycle. She rushed to the window, more by instinct than
thought. She saw him. Tuxedo Mask.
He saw her. Serena. Sailor Moon. And against the background, she looked
like... < It IS her! > "Serena, I've come to get you out of here!"
Serena noticed that her hospital clothing was a bit drafty in the back.
"Hang on!" She went to the door, and saw to the left of it a small
cubby-hole. It contained her school-uniform. She slipped it on, and went
back to the window. She called down. "I can't get out of here."
	"Serena, do you trust me?"
"...Yes. Of course I trust you, Darien."
"Then jump!" Serena knew it was her only chance to save her friends. So,
on a mental count of three, she jumped. Tuxedo Mask caught her. "And
please," he said as he gazed into her eyes. "Call me Tuxedo Mask when I
look like this." Serena and Tuxedo Mask got on the motorcycle. Serena
wrapped her arms around his waist. It felt so warm, so comforting. "Hold
on tight," he said. He sped off on his bike. Serena felt like she could
hold him forever... Even if it was Darien.

Malachite appeared in Serena's former holdings. She was not there. The
doctor came in.
"Hey, where's the girl?" asked the frightened doctor. It wasn't every day
that he saw a man with white hair, eyes, a gray uniform that was unbuttoned
at the top and flowing cape. Then again, it wasn't every day Malachite saw
a scrawny, 150-pound doctor with huge glasses and a white jacket and a
clip-board. Malachite was definitely scarier.
"Apparently she's not here," Malachite retorted.
	"Wh--What did you do?"
"Nothing. But I will..." Malachite slowly to the frozen-stiff-from-fear
doctor, and picked him up by the shirt collar. "Make your life a living
hell if you ask me one more thing," he finished.
	"C--can I say something?"
"You just asked me one more thing." Malachite let his energy flow forth.
He did not want to use his elemental just yet. So, he merely made the
doctor begin to shake from his negative energy. Malachite really poured it
on, and soon the doctor had went mad. Malachite threw him down.
"Now that you're insane, I can do this to put you out of your misery."
Malachite's eyes glowed, and he struck the mad doctor with repeated blasts
of black lightning. The doctor was dead in no time, and Malachite
disappeared. He used something he had learned from Nephlite. He used his
power to make everyone at the hospital forget the screams they had just
heard.
Even in death, Nephlite had proved to be useful, if only for one occasion.
Now to get Tuxedo Mask and make him have a bad... accident.

Tuxedo Mask sped toward Rei's house. "You sure they'll all be there?" he
shouted over the roar of his motorcycle.
"Yeah! They were gonna work on trying to figure out how we can get the
crystals back!"
"OK!" Within the next few minutes, Tuxedo Mask and Serena arrived at the
temple. They got off the motorcycle to the enthusiastic cries of "Serena!"
from all the Soldiers. Even the new one, Mina.
"Hey girl!" Lita called. "Glad you're doing better!" Serena noticed that
all the Soldiers looked brand new.
"You guys healed quick too, huh?"
"Yeah. We're Sailor Soldiers," Rei said. "Healing quickly comes with the
territory. My leg feels better, but it's still a little hurt. I can't
jump around on it a lot."
"Other than tat, we're fine," Amy said. "Hey Tuxedo Mask, or should I say
Darien?"
"You figured it out at last, huh?" Tuxedo Mask said.
"Actually, I told them," Lita said. "So, got any ideas on how to get the
crystal back, anybody?" No one answered. They heard a booming voice.
"You want the crystals? You'll have to fight me for them!" Malachite
appeared in mid-air about ten feet away from the Soldiers. The whole gang
got ready to transform.
"No!" Malachite shouted. "I want to fight him!" he said as he pointed to
Tuxedo Mask. "Just the two of us. Winner takes all!"
Tuxedo Mask took out his cane. He could feel power surging through his
arms. The cane glowed a bit before changing into a sword. He felt
something go through him. He felt old memories returning. After a brief
time, Tuxedo Mask changed into another form. He changed into who he was a
thousand years ago.
"You'll be fighting me as Prince Endymion!" < I remember!! > The prince
stood in a battle-ready stance. "Come and get me!"
"No need." Malachite shot black lightning at Endymion, who skillfully and
gracefully dodged. His breast-plate seemed weightless to him. His flowing
cape made a wind-whipping noise as he moved quickly. Endymion rushed at
Malachite, and swung the sword at him. He missed completely. Malachite
had in one motion ducked, stuck his left leg out and whirled around.
Endymion fell on his back, but quickly sprang to his feet. Another swing.
Another miss.
"You can't beat me!" Malachite formed two purple swords, one for each
hand. He began swinging wildly in a frenzied effort to quickly dispatch
Endymion. Endymion jumped back. He jumped up a bit, and kicked off of the
temple wall. He swung his sword down at Malachite, striking his shoulder.
Malachite howled.
"You will not defeat me!" Malachite's swings grew wider and heavier. He
shot lightning from his eyes. Endymion seemed to be able to see this all
before any of it happened, as he dodged everything.
"Yes!" Endymion struck Malachite again. This time, he hit the other
shoulder. "I will!" Malachite stepped back. Blood ran from his
shoulders, and was dripping on the ground.
"Good thing Grandpa took my advice," Rei said as she watched in awe.
"What was that?" Lita said, unknowingly.
"He went on a long vacation." The battle still raged on. Malachite
wasn't about to give up. He threw his swords at Endymion, who dodged. The
swords lay on the ground. Malachite's eyes flashed, and his swords came
back. Endymion did not see them.
"AAAHHH!!!" he screamed as the swords ripped through his back and stomach.
"NOOO!!! DARIEN!!!" Serena shouted. Endymion fell to the ground.
Malachite looked evilly at his fallen opponent. Serena held him in her
arms as he turned back into Tuxedo Mask, and then into Darien.
"Now you will know what it was like for Zoisite that night. What it is
like to die. And you, Sailor Moon, will feel the pain I have felt from
Zoisite's death. You will grieve. Then I will be back to kill you. Queen
Beryl wanted him back to work for us. But I was in charge of his fate. As
I am in charge of yours. I will be back."
< Oh no, > Luna thought. < Queen Beryl came with them. This is worse
that I thought. > Malachite felt something move. Actually, he felt seven
things move. The crystals shot from his hold on them.
"No!" he shouted. The crystals formed a pattern where six of them circled
the seventh one. Each one glowed. Then, the six outer ones made a single
loop before joining with the first.
As Serena was crying, many tears fell from her face. But one of them was
hit by the seven connected crystals. In a flash of bright light, they
formed one larger crystal.
"Oh my Gosh!" Luna exclaimed. "It's the Silver Imperial Crystal!"
Malachite rushed forward.
"It will be mine!!!" As soon as he got near it, the pure positive energy
that was radiating from the crystal sent him back. The crystal fused with
Serena's transformation broach. Her clothing flew off and was replaced by
a long, flowing white gown.
"It's Princess Serenity! Serena was the Moon Princess all along!" Luna
exclaimed.

Beryl had seen the entire scene. She did not want the princess, but the
prince... And Malachite! She had to punish him for his disobedience. Her
eyes flashed red.

Darien and Malachite both flickered in and out a few times before
disappearing for good. The princess transformed back into Serena, who
immediately collapsed on the ground.
"Serena!" Rei cried as she rushed out to her friend. She then realized
Serena had just passed out and would be fine when she awoke. As for
Darien, no one had any idea.

Malachite and Darien appeared before Queen Beryl. She had a few youma
immediately take him to the special place where she would keep him... And
brainwash him. She had a special youma close his wound so he would not
die.
"Malachite," she said coldly as she turned her immediate focus on the
rebel. "You disobeyed me. I told you to bring him here!"
"But my queen! He needed to be--"
"Silence! I hope you want to see Zoisite again, because you are going to
meet her in hell sooner than you think!"
"My queen, no! NO!" Queen Beryl held out her hand, and tiny bursts of
blue light hit Malachite. He felt his insides melting. He screamed from
agony. Each scream was so blood-curdling that many youma felt sick from
it. Queen Beryl watched in disappointment.
Malachite's screams were silenced. With his last scream, the blue lights
that had hit him and made his insides turn to pudding shot back out of his
body. There were about twenty holes in his body now, each of which let
some of his innards spill out. He fell face first on the floor before his
body disappeared forever.
"Somebody clean that mess up," Beryl said. She arose from her throne and
went to be by Darien.

The contraption Darien was in was working. Soon, his mind would belong to
her. "I will rule both the Negaverse and the Universe. And Prince
Endymion will be by my side. As my King."

Serena awoke in Rei's bed. Once again, she found herself being the center
of attention. She quickly remembered what happened. And she remembered
her past life, and who she was in love with.
"Where is he? Where is Darien?!" She was clearly worried. Mina walked
over to her.
"Serena, there's no easy way to say this...." Mina's eyes held an
expression of hoplessness. "They...... They got him...." All of the gang
went to try to comfort Serena. But she broke away.
Serena ran out of the temple, and fell to her knees at the exact spot she
had held Darien. She looked up at the sky, and let out a mournful,
piercing scream.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" Her tears flowed rapidly from her eyes, down her face,
and to the earth. "DON'T TAKE HIM FROM ME!!!" Serena was bawling like a
baby. And for once, Rei supposed, she deserved to.

				        End.

Yeah, you thought this would all turn out happy didn't you? Well, it
didn't! This does leave room for a sequel, or I can quit right there. Let
me know what to do!
