Planets, names and days of the week.
From 807, a seven day week with names related to the "planets" had found its way to Japan. By 1007, seven day weeks with nomenclature similar to that in Western cultures were common in Japan.
The seven sei were as important to early calendar scholars in Japan as they were anywhere else.
