Thursday the 7th, October 1999, I was packed up, set and all ready to go! It was 11:30 P.M. when I tried to go to sleep to pass this time till 6:00 Am when I was going to leave. I couldn't goto sleep! Crap! I wanted to conserve my energy for Friday, but due to the excitement I couldn't. So I watched one of my favorite Tv shows (which I rarely get to watch) Married with Children. Watched that, then killed some time by playing some games N' stuff. Then Came time to leave so with out hesitation I grabbed all my stuff and left with my Father, Brother and Friend.

After a 6 hour drive and about 3 stops later, we arrived and spotted the hotel. My gawd! Paul (my friend) and I were at Awe knowing we finally got there. We Pulled into the parking lot and first seen the House of Anime Van. After that we rushed in and seen the many who attended. We got our con packets and immediately went to the dealers room, where obviously us being Shop-o-holics and Anime freaks started to shop and get some cool stuff. while Shopping I took a bunch of pictures!

Spending as much time in the dealer's room, we left to see what was also around. We spotted a game room and played some games there and soon enough we ran into Pedro (peter). We hung out and looked around more. About some odd hours later, Peter spotted the rest of Fujik0ma (Sean,Josh,Chris,Scott,Jason, and our cool friends Eric and Jon along with one of Josh's Friend Tim). We hauled them right over to the dealer's room and did (yes!) more shopping!

Soon Came the opening ceremonies where the guests were introduced and the ones there said something. Soon after I walked by Carolina (She's Helluva cool! but I never really got to meet Amy -_-0), soon realizing "yup it's her" so I walked by her again and said Hey and hung around for a bit. I wanted to Catch the Mari Ijima concert but I went to Karaoke 0.k and hung out until Scott Karaoked himself to the U.S. Poke-Rap. Some where about that time I ran into Shawn the Touched (Fast Food Freedom Fighters) and got his autograph! Later I went back and watched some of Japanese animation Hell. It was cool! I laughed my ass off watching that Pizzalario and Raging Rudolph ( It was on Mad Tv a while back to that brought back memories). Then more Anime Hell stuff here and there so that was cool. After that I did some more exploring and hanging out with the rest. while all this happened, I got even more pictures!

It was about 2:30 A.M. and I tried to goto sleep,But it was useless. AGAIN! I couldn't goto sleep. So I left out and ran into some of the guys. Scott, Chris, etc were looking for some where to go copy some tapes but they found nowhere, so I suggested them in the lobby area. So that's what we did, we brought out the Commodore tv and the vcrs, Set them up and watched Fast Food Freedom Fighters in the lobby. After that we started to play some Playstation for a bit. While that,I also took more pictures.

It was about 5:00 A.M. and I went back to my room. Finally I got some sleep, a freak'n 2-3 hours! I was up again by about 7-7:30 A.M. Got some Breakfast and returned to my room and got into Costume (I went as Brock from Pokemon). Did some more shopping (^_^ hehe), more pictures, etc. Got some more cool stuff. Then I went to the "How to draw manga" Panel (1st one, couldn't make it to the 2nd, explanation later) which Steve Bennett spoke for a moment and Bruce Lewis spoke more about how manga is one's own style is manga, there is no certain way for it to be manga. It was great because what they said was so true and straight up to the point.

Soon came the Music video contest. That was helluva cool! They started with the professional awards. There was soo many good ones, one of the better ones were Ugly girl with various Anime, Banjo with DB which was great! I have never before seen something like that before. There was some other great one with Eva (several great Eva videos).

An hour to kill after that for the Cosplay, so I went to burger king with Paul,josh,Eric and peter and came back with a sprained ankle, I was running back across the street and BANG! I stepped on my foot wrong, virtually in a freak'n 90 deg. right angle. Then I went swimming with Chris and Jon for a bit. Pool outside was great along with the inside.

Left the pool and went back down to the lobby and was gonna go see the cosplay to find out that area was blocked off because that area if full for the cosplay. I was like "Damn it." So I left and ran into josh and sean. We checked out the video room which was showing Child's toy. That is one the most hilarious Anime I've seen, the girl calls her Older bf and manager her Pimp because she gives her allowance to him. Heh Scott has a copy so I'll have to get it off him.

About after that I met up with Chris again and we hung out, Some how we snuck in to the restricted area of the cosplay and hung out there for a sec. We borrowed the SSJ goku's wig and quickly got pictures of that with him and me wearing with holding Chris's Kendo Stick.

Soon came the Con dance came. It was sooooooo messed up that I Sprained my damn ankle. I wanted to dance (atleast attempt to =P. There were two Dance areas, one was with a Dj and another was with another dj who just popped in Cds and couldn't Fade between Cds due to a malfunction in his Fader, but it was cool over all. The Dj in the 1st room did remixes of various Anime songs with a lot of bass with I love! But I had to get out of there because there wasn't any room for spectators like me there, I hated being a spectator there but oh well! The second dance room was cool because the guys started to break dance because there was a floor good enough to do that on. So they break danced there also. Then came a quick slam dance with I joined in on not caring about my stupid ankle. That was cool! Then it got worse and eventually I left to my room where I got a good 2-3 hours more of sleep.

Sunday, the last day. I woke up at about 8:00 Am and my ankle was Swollen, I couldn't walk what so ever. My father made a quick run to the Wal-mart across the street and got me an Ace band for my leg which did make things better, I can walk again. I wanted to go to the Websites panel but the room was closed when I got there. So then I did more shopping! I stopped at a table where Bruce Lewis and this lady was at (sorry ma'am ^_^; didn't know your name) and got a cover poster from the program book signed by the artist who did it, Bruce Lewis! Then after that I left to go home at about 11:30 A.M.Unfortunately because of that I missed all the stuff after that but other then that I had a fun time this being my first Anime con n' all. All I can really say is that AWA 5 Kicked ass! I did more than this but I'm sure some people don't want to hear it or/and I'm going to fast thinking about all of what just happened.
