Day(s) and a life of a random Otaku from AWA 5:
~ My journeys into the Unknown ~

Day 00 : The day that never ends, Thursday

    Well the day started like any other. Got up went to school, on the way there my mother and I discussed money for AWA 5 which was Tomorrow! I was goin there with NO money =( but she soon said she give me $60(like that would last long). Well School was School. Till I got home I begged my mom for $150 ^_^ and behold I talked my mom into it, she gave me $150!! NOW some cash for AWA 5! WOO..The fun was soon to begin the following day.

Day 01 : A Slow but good Start, Friday

    Yet again the day started like any other, Besides the fact I was skipping school today for AWA(Who needs School when you can have Anime?) 10am rolled around and a friend of mine Showed up, Frank..He had his costume on 'Saguragi Hanimichi'. We sat around the house waiting for another friend of mine, Who didn't show up till 11:45!! Once Evan showed up we all got loaded up in the cars and left for our best weekend ever, AWA 5! It took us 15 min to get to the Con. When we all got there we saw the House Of Anime Van there(which wasn't new to us we live at House of Anime) ^_^. Frank and I got there first so we headed on into the con. We were lost at first but we found Registration . He had preordered, I hadn't unfortunately =( but I got my Badge ^_^ and was ready for Anime Heaven. As We walked in though we noticed LOTS of Costumes already there, though mine was better then all. Frank and I wandered about the con, just around the dealers room and such. Looking at things, till frank bought..$100 worth of Slam Dunk Mangas (16~31), he was quite proud of it. As the day progressed I lost Frank and went on to the other Con rooms on my own. I wandered into the lobby, I noticed a Ryoga and Ranma there taking a picture, Ryoga Stood there with his Umbrella out as Ranma posed. As I looked around I noticed faces of non-Con goers frightened with this sight, normal to us weird to them. I over heard some of the older crowd (early 50's) mumble about getting another room in another hotel. Well I started to walk away from the lobby when I notice a Familiar face at the lobby desk. A young gal was standing there, Her hair long, and blonde streaks in her hair(bangs). I knew I membered seeing her somewhere, then it dawned on me, this was my friend Elfeater from the net. I walked up to her, introduced myself to her and there began yet a friendship that would last quite a long time. As We talked She met up with her friend Adison, who obviously had somewhat of an Obsession for her. Her parents asked us to help with bringing in the things they brought so we did. ridding the elevator was fun at first, met a few new faces, saw lots of costumes, but yet that was the beginning for elevator Hell. Well soon me, elfy, and adison wondered about the con. I noticing some NICE costumes. Pointing out a few I knew. Though the con was Hot as HELL I kept my trench coat on, which didn't help much. We wandered into the dealers room where I bought, The Legend of Mana Soundtrack for $15! Well after I sat around with Elfy, and Shawn the Touched talking about absolutely nothing I left to go find my friend David(another online buddy), I went into the second dealers room and saw a kid standing there with a costume on from Persona 2 (Yatez!) I spoke to'em He and I introduced each other and there began another beautiful Friendship, his Name was Duncan. Duncan and I wandered around the dealers room for a while. Then I went to the video rooms where I found my friend David. We spoke and did some trading of tapes. Then I met back up with Elfy and the rest of the ppl I met. We talked for a few min I introduced everyone to everyone. David and I then left to go get some food and to goto House Of Anime ^_^. Well After we ate we went back to the con to just do nothing. We met up with my friend Scott, MappyMan, near the message board. We all talked then decided to goto Karaoke, Scott was gonna sing the PokéRap (LOL). So we all went to the Room where it was being held at. I ran back into Duncan, and ran into my friends there(The ones who I went with as well as others). At the karaoke we made a small family ^_^ Met a new gal from Alabama, Katie. We watch Karaoke and laughed, (I must say Marcy who sung The MKR opening Was the best !). Well that was that..We continued to do what otakus do and wander aimlessly. I looked at all the costumes. Liked Lots, hated few. Noticed a nice crowd around a poor tifa. She was being taken pics of left and right. The day continued to night, We all hung out and did nothing for awhile. Then we all decided to go Swimming, though I didn't have anything to swim in ::shrugs:: I just wandered around. Later that night, I got separated from EVERYONE I knew, possibly cause the people I was suppose to stay with in their room told me to go here then here then here, and they left me at the hotel by myself, so I rode the elevators for hours and wandered the Hallways. (I was bored) then I found where everyone was at and sat with them. We were brought into HELL (Some guys room) and man was this the last time we say 'Okay we'll come in' and make friends with someone like him. (no offence) he was a bisexual guy..and was WILD..(I mean you had to load him up with tranquilizers to Shut him up). All was good, we retired to the downstairs where we met up with Brett(Of Otaku Radio). Our Little Group was complete. But that night we were down by the dealers room, and it was Me, Elfy, Brett, Robert(Wild kid, who is bisexual..::Shivers::), Evan(Some kid we met up with), and Robert's BF John. It was all fun till the Robert got all wild on us and started being Obscene Ooo that was bad. THis late at night(3-4am). He evidentally kissed Evan who didn't quite like it and we teased him through out the night about it. Well the night progressed. We all sat up and talked and stuff. I talked about kenshin and did nothing else. Till the con opened the next morning.

Day 02 : The mother of all Days Saturday!

    Well Saturday didn't feel like Saturday, cause we never slept. But we all wandered around a bit tryn to wake up. Con started. Nothing New happened. I ran into Elly, who by the way is a goddess..and I told her so, each time I saw'er(if you didn't see her, you missed out on a lot ^_^). She was with a KICK ASS Seifer..best I saw(only one I saw but hey the best!) But the day slowly started. Elfy, Scott, and I wandered the halls tryn to avoid Robert. Well I went my way, and headed back to the lobby where I met up with my friend Racheal and her friend Sophie. I spoke to them for awhile. I then wandered some more through out the con talkn to everyone I knew. Saturday was a good day, but SLOW..and I don't remember much, (didn't then either cause I was too tired). Well I Hung out with my friends I met there at the con. And talked to a few others. I fell down a few times, lack of coordination, as well has climbed the damned stairs so many times. ::Curses at the Elevators:: I hated the Elevators in that hotel. Plus I hated the Staff in the hotel. ::grumbles: but after I climbed the stairs enough, Scott, elfy and I went to the Con Suite to get something to eat and drink where, Robert found us. ~_~ Not good. We eventually Lost Robert and retired to Scott's room to watch Transformers the uncut movie(YAY) when my mother paged me about 6,000 times to just see how I was doin (Damned mothers). I lost the others and hung out with my friends who I went to the con with. Who Had then dressed up in their costumes, as follows, Allen(Aoshi), Tom(Kenshin), Jessie(Some random Shin-Sen Gumi guy), Racheal(Misao), Evan(Mumoid), Justin(Enishi!),Frank(Sakuragi), and John(Gein). Course all of them were in the Cosplay ^_^I got separated(YET AGAIN) from ppl I knew trying to find a spot in the music vids, when I spotted, OH NO my ex gf..ick..I ran...to find Duncan and his gals(who he met fri) at the front of the room, I sat with them at the Music Videos, where I almost fell asleep. But I must say I was impressed by them ALL! I loved "La Resistance" By Lee Thompson..as well as I loved the others. After the Music Videos I raced to get into line for cos play. I ran into my friends in line(far in the back at the time) we sat around when I was told by an official, The Main room will be full there is another line for the vid room, and pointed me there. SO I followed soon to be discourage to hear that we could have gotten in to the MAIN room !! ::curses:: I met up with a cool guy there, DeadGuy, We talked and made good friends. Well that was in the line, I sat in line with all the guys I met at the con for a good 20 min or so, seeing all my friends I went to the con with (minus the ones in cosplay) waiting in another line. We FINALLY got into the vidroom. We sat there ready to watch the Cosplay, which was POORLY organized, ugh, we sat there for awhile when it dawned on me, I'm suppose to be in the Main room...Why? Cause I promised Elly I'd yell out 'GODDESS!' And yet I could =( but she seem to have gotten the audience to do it ^_^ cause they knew it was true ha ha. Anyways the cosplay got boring, I saw my friends skit, 'Kenshin l am Dunk' HA HA. Then I left to wander again. I ran into Elly out in the lobby, she told me she was meeting Seifer but her parents were watching her and she couldn't go anywhere. So I showed my Chivalrous side and said I'd go and look for him, I must have searched EVERYWHERE, I had lots of ppl helpn, soon to find him in the lobby, with his normal clothes on (tis why it was harder for me to find him), as soon as I found him, elly was missing - -;. I then wandered till I found elly, but he had gotten to her already. So I rode the elevator up to the 16th floor, found nothing cool there went down the elevator where I ran into Elly now Schala from Chrono Trigger, Might I add a stunning Costume. She found Seifer and they went to the main room together, I ran the other way to go find no one. I was getting SOOOOO tired my head was goin numb, quite funny. I couldn't do math right. ::laughs:: I was freaking out. My body was awake but my mind wasn't. I needed to shower, and yet I had no room, so I wandered the halls when Duncan's dad let me us their shower, so I showered and shined and changed clothes. Soon ppl started to leave me. So I ran to the dance. I got a cup of Faygo(AWESOME!) and it woke me up though sped up my brain and I sounded like I was drunk hee hee. I danced and danced to wake me up. Met up with DeadGuy there, and he danced. Then I saw a few other ppl, they danced, My head was spinning so I got me another cup of faygo and left the dance area. TO meet up with Brett, Elfy and the others. We talked, and wandered. THey took our spot to go sleeping in(by the dealers room) so we went upstairs to the eighth floor(on the east elevators, the fast ones) ^_^ where we closed off the elevator lobby and declared it our Room, I went to get a few pillows from the chairs in the lobby. That's where our nightly fun began of mumbling laughing and just plain delirium. Brandon Nelson Hung out with us for a while there. I tried to get some sleep but the infernal 'DINGing' of the elevators kept me up. -_-;. Sooner or later I slept for 3 hours. Then awoke for a new day. A Sad but good day. The last day of the con =(

Day 03 : The day it all fell apart, Sunday

    The day started off VERY Slow. I felt sick. ugh, Brett, and I went to Waffle House to get some grub. I had a lil over $100 dollars left. I planned on buying a new cd player. ^_^ but that fell through for a good reason. Anyways My exgf showed up and she told me she was gonna buy me something. (It's money). I sat near the lobby in a chair, when Elly(now Schala) found me, I talked to her, gave her my chair and sat next to her and talked for awhile. ppl came by and looked at us. We decided to stroll through the lobby. We did, she pulled out some Final Fantasy 8 cards she bought, and talked bout how she wanted some more. I had money. I thought to myself $6 dollars is nice, I can be generous and buy this beautiful gal I just met some cards out of my generosity. Well we went to a booth that had a BOX of cards(Final Fantasy 8) for $55..I had about $60 or so now. So I bought'em for her. ^_^ she was stunned, I got a hug out of it. and we retired to the lobby where she proceed to open them. After she opened them all, we went to the dealers room where she found Seifer and went with him, I went to a table to sit down at. Sooner or later, Elly found me again and I offered her my chair, she sat down and I moved to another chair, we talked and got aquatinted. Then Seifer came over to us and talked, we played hangman, I lost =(. Then it was time for Seifer to go his way to Anime Family Feud. They hugged and said their good byes. I sat still. Elly and I went back to the lobby where we talked and I met up with the 3 gals Duncan met. Said hello and continued to talk to elly. Bill(Of Otaku Radio as well) Showed up. We went outside to wait for Elly's Parents. We talked more. ^_^ Till her parents showed up. She left and Bill and I hung out, Frank(my ride home) was at Wa Ho eatting for the past 2 hours - -; I found my ex gf and Frank, said bye to Bill and went with the ex to go buy me something, All I got was a Weiß Kreuz poster and Pencil Board. I gave My ex a hug and her best friend one to and frank and I went back to the Lobby. Saying G'bye to the 3 gals who have been there for hours now. Frank and I left the Con. And now i'm here in my place, Memories, and friends. Out of all the things I got out of the con I'm glad I got my friends, Sharky, Lee, Brett, Bill, Scott(his group) and Deadguy ^_~ that's all that I really got out of it and enjoyed EVERY Bit of it.
