Anime Blues
What I really like about the
internet is the fact that there are so many people that love anime as much
as we do. Gizmo and I live in a town where a lot of people do not know
about anime. Whenever we get excited about a new "Ranma 1/2" video we watched
or we get a new anime goody, people look at us like we're crazy or from
another planet. Ah yes, and the ever so frequent, "... that's nice." And
just because we buy a couple of issues of "Animerica" were obsessed with
anime. They think of it as something that is dumb and makes no sense. When
we try to explain the plot of "Ranma 1/2", people think it's a weird show
because Ranma turns into a girl and they do not grasp the concept that
he is cursed . Then they refer to anime as "those japanese cartoons" with
a certain tone of attitude! Now, not everyone has had these reactions.
We've actually managed to hook some people onto anime. But most of them
watch a couple of episodes of "Ranma 1/2" and tend to concentrate more
on the nudity of the show than the plot. That's why the internet is our
sanctuary. It's so wonderful to find so many people that enjoy anime as
much as we do ^_^
