This page, formerly known as "How do I do it?", has a few hints and tips for creating an amazing Sailor Moon, or any other kind, web site. There are also a few tutotials on creating web graphics of your own.

Saving Images

*PC users click the right mouse button and choose "save as".

*MAC users hold down your mouse button and wait for the menu then choose "save as".

Using Images

Placing an image on your page: <img src="Image_Name">

Linking with an image: <a href="Page_Address"><img src="Image_Name" border=0>
Adding the border=0 gets rid of the coloured border around the image. If you'd like your page to load faster try adding the height="height in pixles" & width="width in pixles" to the <img src> tag.

Using Images as Backgrounds

Its really quite simple. In the <Body> tag type background="IMAGE_LOCATION" and your image will become your background.

Using Border Backgrounds

The easiest way to use a border is to add <ul><ul><ul> body tag. You may need more than three depending on the size of the border. Don't forget the before the ending body tag. There is a more complex way to do this using tables & a blank GIF. I'll get the HTML code for that up later.

Things NOT to do When creating a homepage

This a list of things that annoy me personally when I see them on a homepage.

1. Don't use too many images on your main page. If you page takes too long to load most visitors will leave and not return. If you have a lot of image then create an image gallery.

2. Avoid using those pop up java scripts that ask people to enter their name when coming into your site as well as the ones thanking them when they leave.

3. Don't, and I can't stress this enough, use blinking text. As you can see its pretty difficult to read. Unfortunatly it only works with Netscape so IE users might not see the blinking.

4. One of my biggest pet peaves is what seems to be the latest craze in homepages. To MaNY pEoPLe ArE WrItnG lIkE tHiS AnD i PeRSoNaLlY FiND iT AnNoYiNg. Is it just me or is that hard to read?!

5. Another thing to avoid is slang. People visiting your site from another country won't understand a word your saying. English is already a complicated language for them to learn.
