How to make your own potato bazooka Here the material you need to make it : Part list : 1. 30" piece of 2" such 40 PVC 2. 4"2' such 40 PVC reducer coupling 3. 10" piece of 4" such 40 PVC 4. Gaz grill igniter (modified) 5. 4" such 40 clean out 6. 4" such 40 end cap (modified) 7. 1/2" PVC T fitting 8. 24" piece 1/2" such 40 pipe 9. 1/2" PVC T fitting (modified) 10. PVC pipe cleaner (Very Important) 11. PVC Pipe dope (fresh can) Modifications for parts 4, 6 and 9 1. Item #4 Solder stiff wire such as a paper clip to tab on igniter. Run wire along igniter and glue down along edge. (use not glue or RTV for best results). Bend end of wire over electrode end of igniter. 2. Item # 6 Glue threads of end cap to allow cap to only go 1/2 way into "clean out" coupling this is Very Important to allow the end cap to "Blow Out is case projectile gets stuck or wrong fuel type is used. This is your Safety Valve or shorts and should not be eliminated. DO NOT GLUE CAP INTO "CLEAN-OUT FITTING". 3. Item # 9 Grind of cut sides of "T" fitting to fit into 2" pipe (Ramrod end). After you have all the material and modified the 3 items, you can assemble it. Read this to Assemble your Potato Bazooka. Assembly Instructions 1. Cut all pieces of pipe to size. 2. Drill 1/2" diameter hole for igniter at mark on pipe. 3. Insert igniter and install nut to hold in place. Seal with hot glue or RTV on both inside and outside of pipe. If barbed type of igniter is used, make sure barbs are trimmed to clip inside pipe. Also seal inside and out with RTV or hot glue. 4. When Igniter seal is dry, mout "clean out" and reducer coupling on to 4" pipe. NOTE : Be sure to use PVC Pipe Cleaner and plenty of PVC Pipe Dope (don't skimp here). Also be sure to twist the fittings as they're put on. This insures a good joint. 5. Bevel out 1 end of 2" pipe. This can be done with a file or gringing bit, dremel tool, whatever. This the loading end of the barrel. 6. Glue Non beveled end of 2" pipe into reducer coupling. Again using PVC Cleaner and plenty of pipe dope. 7. 8. Glue 1/2 "T's" to 1/2 pipe. 8. 9. Clean entire product with PVC Cleaner, rough finish with sandpaper and paint if desired. This 2 Images help you in your construction of you own Potato Bazooka.
