Sadako

Sadako was killed by cancer 5 years after the bomb.  She made 1000 (or maybe 10,000),
origami cranes while she was in the hospital, which are supposed to bring good fortune.
They didn't.
This memorial is for all the children who died from the bomb or its radiation.
