I was born in Yokohama in 1920, and lived there until we were evacuated in 1940. My adult life has been spent away from Japan, although was able to take my husband back for a month in 1984, and part of my heart has always remained there. Was engrossed a d enchanted by your site!!Many thanks.

I enjoyed your page, it brought back some fine memories of Miyajima. I never made it to the peak becase I was at the end of a 14 day slog of Japan and so I stayed at the bottom sleeping. I'm glad someone made it to the top and I actually got to see pictur s of the inland sea. Cheers, Samir
