Origami in the XVIIIth Century - Segawa [26 kB]

In the sixth century Korean monks settled in Japan (amongst them priest and physicist Tam-Chi, or Donchoo in Japanese), and imported not only the Buddhism, but also the script, the ideal material to write the holy texts down – paper – and the techniques to produce it.
Around the year 610, prince-regent Shotoku refined the original mixture and gave the Japanese paper the qualities it’s recognized for world-wide: strength and elegance – qualities omnipresent in Japanese life!
