Ranma 1/2 Nettouhen episode 65
title: Shampoo no akai ito
opening song: Zettai! Part 2
ending song: Friends
aired: 91.03.01

A Chinese salesman comes over to the Neko Hanten. Shampoo sees a red string.
The salesman said that if the red string is tied on the little finger of
someone and yourself for five hours, that person will love you forever.
So Shampoo buys it.

Shampoo goes over to the Tendo home to try to put the string on Ranma's
little finger. Ranma was sleeping. But Akane comes into the room to return
a book, so Shampoo runs away before she can tie the string.

Ranma was chasing P-chan around. Shampoo was setting a trap for Ranma.
But Shampoo's red string traps P-chan. Shampoo lets P-chan go and then
asks Ranma to play ayatori (a game where you try to get the string off of
another person's fingers, etc..) with her. At first Ranma says no, but
when Shampoo says that he can eat for free at the Neko Hanten, Ranma says
yes. Then Akane gets mad and throws water on Ranma. While Ranma-chan and
Akane were arguing, Shampoo ties the string on Ranma-chan's little finger.
Then Shampoo pours the hot water on Ranma-chan. Ranma says to Shampoo,
let's get married.

Ranma and Shampoo go through the Tendo house saying that they will get
married. When Soun tells Genma to do something about it, Genma pours water
on himself and rolls around as the panda. Soun goes up to Akane and tells
her to beg to Ranma. But Akane says that it doesn't concern her.
When Nabiki says that Ranma is rushing things too much, Kasumi notices
that there is a real red string binding Ranma and Shampoo's little fingers.

Nabiki goes to Ukyou's okonomiyaki store to tell Ukyou about Ranma and
Shampoo's wedding. Nabiki also tells Ukyou that there is a visible red
string tying Ranma and Shampoo together. Then Ukyou goes out saying that
she will cut the string. Sasuke was also in the store listening. He goes
off to tell Kunou and Kodachi.

Ukyou, Moose, and Kodachi run to the Tendo home to try to stop Ranma and
Shampoo. When they get to the gate, Kunou was there and he said that he
won't allow anyone to break up Ranma and Shampoo. Ukyou, Moose, and Kodachi
beat up Kunou and go after Ranma and Shampoo.

Akane receives an invitation to the wedding. Soun tells Akane to go stop
the wedding, but Akane is still very stubborn and says that it has nothing
to do with her. Then Nabiki comes and tells everyone that Ranma and
Shampoo are tied together by a real red string. Soun tells Akane to cut
the red string with a scissors. But she says that she doesn't want to.
When he heard this, P-chan grabbed the scissors, ran out of the room, and
jumped into the hot bath.

At the Neko Hanten, Shampoo's great-grandma was helping Shampoo get dressed
for the wedding. Ranma was already dressed in a tuxedo. When Ukyou and
Moose came, Shampoo poured water on Moose. Ranma told Ukyou that nobody
can interfere with their love. Then Ukyou turned around and started to walk
away. But she turned around right away and threw her spatula at the red
string. When the string was cut, Ranma didn't know what was going on. But
Kunou came right away and tied the string between Shampoo and Ranma. Then
Kunou stops Kodachi and Ukyou, and tells Shampoo and Ranma to run away.
Just outside of the Neko Hanten, Ryouga stops Shampoo and Ranma, saying
that he won't let anyone make Akane sad. He cuts the string with the scissors
and grabs the string. Then Shampoo tells Ryouga that if she and Ranma get
married, Akane will be his. Ryouga gets all confused and doesn't know
what to do. While Ryouga was confused, Shampoo grabs the red string away
from Ryouga.

At home Akane was studying. But she kept thinking about Ranma and Shampoo.
When she couldn't take it any more, she leaves her room.

Just before 5:00 PM, the wedding is about to begin. But Akane comes in
with a bouquet for Ranma and Shampoo. As she went up to give the bouquet
to Shampoo, Akane took out her scissors and cut the red string. Then at
5:00 PM, the red string disappeared.
