I could go on forever with the list of other bands because unlike many of you, I am not obsessed with blur. They are merely one of the great bands out there. Their music is wonderful, and I've defended them many times here in the states because they are n ither well liked nor well known. Personally, Alex seems rather pretentious to me, but he's nice to look at. He's quite pretty, but he's 32 now and I haven't seen any recent pictures so he's probably bloated and balding. Who cares- he's not a sex symbol an he's definitely not God- that's my position. I'm just awaiting another great album by this versatile band I have loved for some years now. It would be cool if some non-obsessive Blur fans could e-mail me because I don't know many people with taste here i Texas. And I was kidding about the cheese- my favorite is American:)

I put in an entry before asking about lyrics in Song 2 (among many other things). As you may recall, I made some statements that make no sense, and some that I realize make a lot of sense. My question was, What did Damon Albarn say he got his head check d by in Song 2? (although not in those exact words.) I said that I thought he was saying "chumbochy". Well, I just checked the "lyrics" section of your site and I discovered that Damon was saying "I got my head checked by a JUMBO JET" I often misinterpr t lyrics, and I guessed that he may have been saying perfectly normal words, but nothing has prepared me for the shock of this discovery. how did I get "chumbochy" from "jumbo jet"? Blur is gumbus and tyte. To anyone who doesn’t understand my language that means they are awesome. I have two of their CDs (Blur and 13) and I want the other ones. Their songs are all gumbus and some of them are really funny (at least I think so). I w uld like to add that I really like Blur but I am not obsessed or infatuated with them. I know this is getting really long, please forgive me, but I have a few questions. First of all, which member of Blur likes cheese? Also, in Song 2 Damon Albarn says "...I got my head checked, by a [what!!??] I don't understand what he is saying. It s unds like "chumbochy" which I am almost sure is not a word, but if it is, regardless, I don't know how to spell it. I always interpret lyrics wrong, so if you don't know what the hell I’m talking about I understand. He’s probably saying some perfectly n rmal word, but for some reason, to me, it sounds like "chumbochy". If you have any information please explain to me what he is saying. In the rare event that Damon really is saying "chumbochy", please explain whether or not this is a real word, how it’s spelled, and what it means. Nice page, but the background for the guestbook is not very convincing of the whole "Alex is the sex god" idea. He looks like he could have been kicked out of Hanson. I really dug the cosmic pebble thing, the quotes and of course the quiz (14 Alex, 2 Graham and Damon, 0 Dave). I was lucky enough to see Blur last Monday at Numbers; scored a water bottle from Damon (with water still in it, for all you obsessed ones, ha ha--I've got Damon juice!). Before I was not anywhere near as into the band as now, but I'd have to say it was y far the best show I've been to, which was quite a surprise because all I'd been reading lately is how much they hate each other and that Graham told Public News that this was their last tour, so I expected it to be rather not-so-great. My sister (who is 4) is now a big Blur fan--she was singing Song 2 (that's all right for a 4-year-old). She likes your page, too. I tried to teach her the names and instruments of everybody in the band (she picked up the Beatles with no problem), but all she could remember was "Alex has dark hair like and plays de bass like you [I have dark hair in my face and play the bass]." Good kid. Anyway, this is all very useless and long-winded and probably boring and stupid to most people, indeed. Add more stuff here so that I can come back and not already know what I'm going to read. If anyone reading this feels like it, I love getting e-mail.

The actual cd is rather dull, but that's mostly because of the lame interviewer.

I have yet to find a copy of "Parklife" (on CD) here in Dunedin, however, I heard the song "End of the century" on UK MTV (we just recently got that over here), and I really like it.....at the moment my favourite album is "Leisure", but I tend to change e ery couple of days.
