Welcome to Club Noshi Noshi! "Noshi noshi" is a Japanese sound effect for a cat walking on newspaper--a sound frequently heard here!--and Club Noshi Noshi is what we call our library of anime books, manga, doujinshi, and nihongo dictionaries and grammar reference books, which fills a good portion of the house's lower level.
I've been disappointed that some of my all-time favorite anime series don't yet have English-language Web sites (not that I've found, anyway)--so I'm going to correct that here, starting with a pair of epics that both began as manga: the highly respected classic あしたのジョー Ashita No Joe ("Tomorrow's Joe"), and an extremely twisted show with several homages to "Joe," みどりのマキバオー Midori No Makibaou ("King of the Green Meadow")!
Then there's a page of various odds and ends having to do with 宇宙戦艦ヤマト Uchuu Senkan Yamato ("Space Battleship Yamato"), better known on these shores as Star Blazers.
And finally, there's The Restroom Reader--a look at some of the best manga you've probably never heard of!
