Everyone is in search of the truth whether they know it or not. Everyone thinks the truth will set them free; the truth is what the human existence is about. Of course, I want to say that way of thinking is not justified. The truth is not happiness, the truth is the truth "betide weal or woe."
Now if you don't think so, then you can leave now or you can read on about my rants. The truth isn't happiness because the truth is like nature; they are not against or for, but just there for people to discover. If you found out your spouse had an affair with another person, is that truth going to make you happy? If you found out you got accepted to the college of your choice, is that truth going to make you happy? That's what I mean about truth.
Now, if you're going to look for a deeper meaning, like a Golden Boy would, then be prepared to live in pessimism. The world is full of happiness and sorrow, and sorrow is one of the most dominant emotions in the human life. There is a way to learn truth and not living in Pessimism, and I believe this is true. Bruce Lee said this once, I'm just going to give you a cliff not version:
1. seeking truth
2. awareness of truth
3. perception of truth
4. understanding truth
5. experiencing truth
6. mastering truth
7 forgetting the path at which you found that truth
8. forgetting the carrier of truth
9. return to the primal source where truth has its roots
10. repose to the nothing
now for all the people scratching their heads and saying, "What the hell are you talking about?" Here's the explained version that I think what it is.
You are seeking truth, then seek it; be aware of truth when you do find it. When you are aware of the truth, be aware of truth through all the senses. Look at truth from all sides, from all angles and go into a state of enhanced comprehension of truth; undergo truth. After all that, overcome truth, subdue, go over truth.
After mastering truth, forget how you found truth, forget the carrier of truth, and just care what use the truth has; remember the primal source of truth's usefullness, however, forget the complexity that lies within truth. Now place (as trust) to the nothing.

Reality, the world we perceive is the world we live in. Reality can be happy times and sad times; if we perceive our reality as sad, then our life is filled with sorrow and glum. If we perceive our reality has happiness, then our life is filled with bliss and joy. Through this reality, we learn and through the learning, we become educated in the truth. Truth is indifferent, like nature.
Whether we choose to be wise or ignorant, rests on the people's perception of life. We perceive life through our frustrations and pains, through our joys and happiness, and through our experiences and learnings. To say life is horrible depends on the man who's experiences of life is horrid; t his man knows nothing of the full truth.
The truth will be known to people when the people are ready and when truth wants to reveal itself.
The man who thinks life is horrible is not ready for the truth, because he has experienced the bad parts of life. Those who think life is bliss is not ready for the truth, because he has only experienced one side of life, the joys of life.
To know the truth, we must know ourselves and use our full potential. Since we humans are not 100% capable of our full potential, we don't know 100% of the truth, and may never will. The experiences of life gives us a perspective of life. This perspective molds us to the people we are, and shows us a degree of truth.
On perspective and experiences of life, it is common that we believe a bad man had a bad experience of life; this is one persepctive of the truth. A man can have a bad experience in life, but still be a good man; this man is capable to hande more truth. The reason why this man is more capable is because he has seen what life has to give him, and he has accepted it, but he also see's other's experiences and perspectives, so he cannot say life is horrible, when life isn't horrible or great.
Again, truth is indifferent, but is not indifferent. Truth is only indifferent because it contradicts itself. Truth is indifferent, however, truth leads to emotions. Truth can be happy, yet be sad. Truth can be Hate, yet it can be love. Truth can be Freedom, yet it can be a prison. Truth can be horror, yet it can be relief. Truth can be learned through experiences, however, truth can also be learned through no experiences. For example, truth can be learned from a sage that has travelled around the world, let's say Aristotle. Aristotle new truth as well as a Buddhist Monk who has not experienced the world as Aristotle. Truth can be learned from many people of different experiences through different times in different lives.
To Grasp truth, we must understand ourselves. People search invain for the truth through other people, yet they don't realize that the truth can be inside them. The most deepest questions are answered the most simplest and most common answers. We see ourselves as simple, but the deepest truths are inside us. We hold the key for truth. Although we cannot learn the full truth, we can try to find bits and pieces of truth.
1) Question truth
2) Search for the truth externally, to gain experience, to see life from other's eyes, to see another reality, another perspective, another experience
3) Search for the truth Internally
4) Answer the truth
To search for the truth externally is to gain experience. Those of you who are reading this must be in this stage (because you are reading my persepctive of truth, my perspective of life, my experiences). To gain experience and see perspectives through other's eyes is a type of truth.
When you have think you understand an object, look at the same object from another point of view.
When truth seems to be learned, look again. You can look at a plane from a sagital view, but then look at it from a frontal view, and wow, it's totally different.
We learn truth externally all the time. We learn it through movies, games, people, cars, just about everything. Games tell us sometimes that the strongest survive. Movies tell us to enjoy life as much as you can before you die. Other people tell us to look to the future. These are their perspective of life, of truth.
Scientists view life through other species and see that spreading your genes, to reproduce is the chief function of all life. Now people ask "What is the meaning of life?" Can the meaning of life be this simple? Just to reproduce? I think we made our purpose in life more complicated than it already is. Instead of reproducing, many people believe that we are here on earth to serve our Lord. Other people believe that this earth is just a testing ground. Other say, "There's no purpose to life." To us, it seems unfathomable that we do not have a purpose on this earth, but could this answer be the most simplest to the most complex question?
I think to learn the bits and pieces of truth, we must experience all emotions. Paint has so much similarities to feelings. To mix red and blue makes purple. To mix Anger and Sadness makes Frustration and depression. To mix all colors together makes the color black. To mix all feelings together makes indifference.
Do we have to experience all these feelings to become indifferent? Can't we be inheritly indifferent like nature? To answer this, we must ask: Was nature always indifferent? Our answers to this question answers the first question. Think it through your head. For example, I think that Nature has always been indifferent, black, and now I have to experience all these feelings because I want to break down the indifference to different emotions, colors, and view each emotions. Confusing?
Truth, is like the sun, it's so simple. The sun is a big ball of hot gasses, this is how simple our sun is. Truth is indifferent. Both the sun and the truth give birth to something. The sun gave birth to life on earth. The truth gave birth to human's purpose of life, to our education, and how we came to be today.
