Briefly about Clamp...
CLAMP is a manga artist group
of 4 females. Not only are their drawings beautifully done and detailed,
their stories are cleverly planned as well. Famous works include: RG Veda,
Tokyo Babylon, Wish, Rayearth and Clamp Campus Detectives. CLAMP's stories
are full of mysteries (not suprising since all 4 of them like detective
stoires), and the famous twist "baddies and actually goodies". Most of
them have a pretty grim plot, especially the early works, which are quite
depressing (e.g. RG Veda, Tokyo Babylon). But recently, they have become
more cheerful and took another extreme: scaringly childish and cute (Clamp
Campus Detectives, Wish). Even Rayearth II has a cheerful ending.
Not that I don't like it,
but I really think CLAMP is overdoing things a little...
There was this rumor earlier this year that Sailormoon's
author Takeuchi Naoko is joining CLAMP. But I seriously doubt that...
CLAMP's newest series: Angelic
Layer!
It's serialized in a manga
magazine "Shonen eesu". Yup, CLAMP is drawing a shonen manga!
