Lovely Dirty Pair : Kei and Yuri

The Dirty Pair, Kei and Yuri are 2 scantily clad intergalactic police, agents, investigators, spys ..... whatever. They work for a company called World's Welfare Works Association, WWWA or simply 3WA, an organisation that provides Troble Consultants to solve a problem which the local authorities are unable to handle. The nickname Dirty Pair was given to them as they always finish a mission in a messy fashion. Unhappy with that name, they call themselves the Lovely Angels. But people still recognise them as the Dirty Pair much to their exasperation. The name is however famous and is much feared by the villians.
Dirty Pair was first introduced as a serial in Japan's SF magazine. It was compiled into 3 novels before the anime series was released in 1984. The series ran for 26 episodes. Despite the extremely short length, it was extremely well received. Later on, 10 OVAs and 3 movies were made. The fame of Dirty Pair also helped the Japanese Society. This rare poster was seen in the subways of Japan to promote public awareness on arson.

Characters

Yuri is the long hair beauty. She is only 19. She thinks of herself as an intellectual. Being the more feminine of the two, she spends more time on her appearance although she does not often date. Her childhood sweetheart, Billy Galet has passed away but Kei keeps this from her. Yuri's choice of weapons is discreet and she carries a petite sized blaster. She is a crackshot and is highly skilled in unarmed combat.

Kei is the red haired tomboy. She is more aggresive than Yuri and carries a large blaster. Like Yuri, she is a crackshot and a highly skilled in unarmed combat. Kei is impatient and hence, she is always spontaineous. She acts before she thinks. She dates often but dosen't have a sweetheart. When persuing men, she always ends up in awkward and amusing situations. Kei likes wrestling and loud music.

Nanmo is the pair's multi-puopose robot. It has a internally stored robotic arm that enables it to perform a variety of functions which includes bypassing security systems and piloting a spaceship. Thrusters on its shoes also enable it to navigate in space. Mughi is the pair's putative pet. It is a genetically engineered lifefrom with high intellegence. It is able to pilot a spaceship but is still unable to talk. It looks like a ferocious creature and often scares the daylights out of villians but in reality, it has a gentle nature.

Gooley is the chief whom the pair reports to. A responsible man who often finds himself at the receiving end of criticisms of the Pair's antics. However, he regards them as close friends and has full confidence in their capabilities.

The Lovely Angel is the pair's spacecraft. It is a modified 80 metre-class with the advance weapons and flight capabilities.
