This is my friend, Leo. I took that picture at a restaurant in Hong Kong on June 28, 99. He didn't want to take a picture that night, so I got one when he was eating.
Leo is one of my best friends from high school. After finishing high school, he entered the University of Hong Kong studying Dentistry. He is now a Dental Surgeon in a public hospital in Hong Kong.
Leo and I have been friends for many years. He is always the perfect person in my eyes. At school, he is the perfect student, smart and hardwroking. Unlike Brian and I, he always got good grades at school. Before the A-Level exams, we had already known that Leo would definitely be able to get in the university. Since Brian and I were not good students like Leo, we continued our studies abroad finally.
As the eldest son at home, Leo is a good and responsible son/brother. He mentioned that he had the responsibility to take care of his parents and siblings. Most of you may know that apartments in Hong Kong are very expensive, however, Leo bought an apartment for his younger brother and sister, so they could have their own apartment even though they couldn't afford to mortgage or buy one in the future. He told me, "This is my JOB, I'm RESPONSIBLE for it." Be honest, I was touched when he said that (although I'm not his brother.)
As a friend of mine, he is definitely the Mr Nice Guy with almost no temper at all. In contrast, I am the bad guy to him. I think my most unbareable habbit to Leo is I am the person without the sense of time. Well, be more specific, I am always late for appointments, especially those with nice persons. Leo is my record holder that he has been waited for me for an hour once. Even he has waited for such a long time, he only cursed a bit with no anger. Among Leo, Brian and I, I am the talkative and outspoken one. Sometimes, I said something I shouldn't say to my best friends. I knew I hurt their feelings from time to time even though they always forgave me.
The romance of Leo is the part that I don't know much. Since I am always not in Hong Kong. I have never met his girlfriend for 6 years. However, as I know Leo, he is a loyal and faithful person who probably will stick with the same girlfriend/wife till the end of his life.
(I finally met Leo's girlfriend, Vanessa, when I go back to Hong Kong in July 2000. They got married two months later on September 9, 2000.)
Leo, Brian and I are not students any more, and we cannot see or talk to each other as often as we were at school. However, in my mind, they are always my best friends. I cherish our friendship and the time we spent together.
P.S. I thought it was easy to write something about Leo since we have been friends for such a long time. However, I found it was very difficult in the beginning as I had too much information about him and the memorable time we spent together (of course, Brian is always part of it) scattered around that I had to put them back together in pieces. So, I put this section aside for a while. I originally planned to finish it by Leo's birthday on August 2, but I couldn't make it. Shame on me!!! Anyway, if Leo sees this page, I would like you to know that I write every word from the bottom of my heart. As I mentioned, I cherish our friendship!!!
