Radditz wanted Goku to come with him to kill life on all planets and he was one of the 5 surviving saiyans. Radditz opened the biggest plot. Piccolo and Goku join sides to beat Radditz but it resulted in Gohan getting angry and damaging Radditz. Then Goku held Radditz while Piccolo fired threw both of them. As Radditz laughed about how even though he was dieing Goku would die too. Piccolo made a smart remark about the dragon balls and how his friends would wish him back. Then Radditz laughed even more, because his scouter on his forehead was also a transmitter and his comrade saiyans heard the conversation about the Dragon Balls. Therfore his comrades(Vegeta and Nappa) would come in want to wish for imortallity thus opening the Dragon Ball Z series.
