.Let The Fun Begin

A savage pull on her hair. The horrible face above hers. She gasped in pain and sudden awakening.
He smiled and said, "Good. You've awakened. We have have much to do today!"
He released his hold upon her hair. Allura closed her eyes - she did not want to look at his face.
A jerk on her hair again. "You will look at me, Allura. Look at me! You and your friends nearly lost me my empire and you will pay for it!!"
Allura opened her eyes and said furiously, "I already have! You - you took me like a - a -!" She sobbed. "Now kill me and be done with it!"
Zarkon jerked her hair again and said, "Killing you would be too quick, too easy!" He sneered. "So much like your noble father! So willing to die! Your father was a fool!"
This enraged Allura and she slapped him. He slapped her back ruthlessly. He snarled, "You are impetuous and willful! You don't like the truth, do you, Princess? Yes! Your father could have prevented all the bloodshed your planet underwent. I offered him much if he would have just placed Arus under my Empire! He would have ruled as King there! It was your father who caused all this!"
Allura felt utter rage! How dare this fiend say such things about her father! She didn't care if he did kill her for this. She would defend her father's memory. She said, "No! It was you! You glory in killing, enslaving and dominating! My father defended Arus against your tyranny as did I! I still will and so will others! You think you've won, but you haven't!"
Zarkon's eyes filled with amusement. "I can hear your father in you, Allura - spouting his tired retoric! He only taught one side of the arguement - that was rather biased of him, wasn't it? "
He took his hands and clamped down hard on her bare shoulders, shaking them. "Your problem, princess is that you have a streak of obstinance in you - a foolish thing in a woman! " He smiled evily. "You - flying the Blue Lion, defending Arus! You think they allowed you to fly the Lion because of your skill, wench?" His eyes flickered down at her body and then up again. He said lowly, "They let you fly because they wanted to gain favor with you! Who could blame them? A beautiful woman such as yourself and four young men?"
She hissed, "You vile, sick.."
He laughed gleefully. "Prideful, aren't we? As I said, you don't like the truth, do you? You know it is the truth, princess, even if you think you believe otherwise! "
Allura tried to fight his tight embrace. She said, "You're trying to pull me down, Zarkon! Well, it won't work! I know what I am!"
He jerked her chin and said, "You are whatever I say you are! You have lost, Allura! Admit it!" He swooped down and kissed her mouth.
She flared, "You repulse and sicken me! I hate you!" He laughed as if she had said the funniest thing. "You think your words bother me, Allura? It doesn't matter what you think, or how you feel. You, your people, your former planet are now under my rule. The Alliance is dead. Galaxy Garrison is a shambles now. There is no Voltron to save the day now! You think your stubborn resistance really matters now? All saw you and I at your Ball. All saw you with me last night. Do you think they believe you to be the pure and pious princess now?"
Allura's eyes blazed with fury. She spat, "You think they believe your lies, Zarkon? They know I - " He cut her off with a light slap on her face.
He yelled, "They believe what their eyes see, wench! They believe you surrendered to me! That is what they believe! Already the rumors are flying! I know - it is my business to know! You were their symbol of purity, of goodness. And now?" He slid his hands over her body ruthlessly, making her wince. He whispered, "Now you are my bedwench.."
She screamed, "No!" He grinned with glee, knowing he was causing her anguish.
He kissed her and said, "You are whatever I say you are, Allura! And today I will "make an honest woman out of you.." - as the Terrans say."
Allura gasped at his implication and said fearfully, "Then last night, you.." He chuckled, "Oh, you remembered? Yes, I meant what I said. I want a son. You will provide me with one - or as many as I wish. I won't make the same mistake again and pin my hopes on only one."
Allura closed her eyes. Dear god. Marry this repulsive tyrant? His very countanance made her shiver. His touch made her want to die. Bear his children and see them made into his image? The very thought sickened her. Would it have been the same with Lotor? No. It would have been the same, but different. She would have been unwilling to marry him but once he touched her, she would have given in. She wouldn't have cared about anything, only him. That was her secret shame. But this fiend? Never!
She said, "I will not be wed to you!"
Zarkon saw the defiance on her face and chuckled. He cupped her chin and gazed full into her face. He said gently, "If you resist me, Allura. I swear I will take Coran and your entire castle staff and I will have them tortured before your eyes.." He stroked her face and continued, "Coran will be first, Allura. I will have his tongue cut out and then I will force him to give a speech.." He chuckled, "On interstellar diplomacy!" Allura's eyes widened in terror. Zarkon's eyes glittered. Good, she was afraid. He kissed her gently, opening her mouth with his. He whispered, his lips nearly on hers, "If he cannot speak, for each minute he fails, I will instruct a bone to be broken.."
Allura gasped, "No.."
Zarkon smiled and started to caress her hair gently. "Do you happen to know how many bones are in the human body? There are many.." He chuckled, seeing her utter fear. His cold lips caressed her cheek. He murmured, "Do you wish to be the cause of his pain, Allura? It would be your fault, you know. All would blame you.."
Zarkon's lips kissed her mouth again and she shivered. She closed her eyes in revulsion. The hand in her hair pulled and she knew she had to open her eyes and look at his repulsive alien face. He said, "Tell me, Allura..what will it be?"
She felt fear - the deep pit of fear she always felt whenever his name was mentioned. She couldn't let him hurt Coran so. She couldn't bear to see people suffer because of her. She never could. She shivered as she felt his arm wrap around her waist, his fingertips caressing slightly. For some reason, she felt a strange sense of deja vu.
He said, "Give me your answer, Allura.."
She took a deep breath and said, "I - I will cooperate. Please don't hurt Coran or the others.."
Zarkon smiled. "Good, you have made a very wise choice, my dear. As for Coran - why he won't be harmed. You will see him again soon.."
He kissed her and released his grip on her hair. He mumured, "Now, dear..since you are so cooperative, I will reward you.." He kissed her deeply. Allura sobbed. No, not this. Not now.
She said, "Please.." He cut her off with a kiss and her living nightmare began anew....
After checking on Lotor, Hagar went to the throne room as summoned. She hadn't slept well last night and she felt tired. She wondered what he wanted. Perhaps he was ready to dispatch Lotor at last. She walked into the throne room and found him alone on his throne. Her eyes brightened as she saw no sign of Princess Allura. Perhaps he had killed the little chit in anger! Perhaps her whining and stubborness got to him at last and he gave her over to his officers! She would be just as good as dead then. But as Hagar came closer, she saw his countenance was not angry, but cheerful. Hagar instantly felt jealousy. ..So the old fool actually had a good time with her!.. Well, she wasn't with him now, so that was a good sign. He saw her at last, and welcomed her.
"Ah, Hagar! My you look like you've slept well, old witch!" He said sacastically.Hagar ignored his comment.
She said, "I am here, sire. What is it you wish of me?"
He chuckled, "My, we're so subservient today, aren't we, old witch?"
Hagar winced. ..Old witch..and she was younger than he..She ignored the comment. Zarkon's eyes glittered with mirth.
He said, "I have summoned you here for an important occassion I wish you to witness, Hagar."
The witch's eyes glittered. So he was going to kill the princess now and she would have a hand in it!
She said, "I am honored, sire!"
He said, "You should be, Hagar. It isn't often I get married.."
His eyes appraised her reaction. Hagar was stunned. Marry? Zarkon? She must have not heard him right!
Before she could stop herself, she spat, "Marry! You? What are you - going through mid-life crisis or something?"
Zarkon laughed uproariously. "That's why I keep you around, Hagar! Your witty sense of humor! " He calmed down and said, "To answer your question, witch, I am marrying for many reasons. One of which is to produce a son.."
Hagar said, "You know very well sire, I could produce a clone of you that would grow as a child would. You don't need to marry!"
Zarkon's eyes narrowed, "Old witch, I know you could, but I don't want a clone.." He smirked, "Besides I prefer to produce my offspring in a more pleasant fashion.."
Hagar became angry. The fool! She said, "It's the princess, isn't it? She's the one you want, isn't it? One night with her and you get addled! You're an old fool!"
Zarkon stood up, enraged. He yelled, "YOU have no say in what I do with anyone, Hagar! You never did! You never will! You're alive only because of your magic - and I can take that away with one word!"
Hagar made as if to cast a spell against him when he said, "And don't try your spells upon me, Hagar! You know damn well I could say the word before you struck. Even if you killed me, your power would be gone - GONE - do you hear me? Who I marry is none of your affair!"
Hagar just had to push it. "Oh, like you nearly did with Merla?"
Zarkon sat back down and said, "Twit me about Merla, eh? Is that what you do, Hagar? Observe who I bed and who I do not? I do not appreciate spying upon me." He smiled at her wickedly, "But if you must know, Hagar..I had a very good time last night - and this morning as well. The princess is making up her debt to me very nicely..."
His eyes glittered in satisfaction as he saw Hagar's rage. Zarkon said, "Shortly, my "guests" will arrive and after the ceremony, you will prepare Lotor to fight in the Games. He will fight the winner of the tournament - you will make to where he will fight the roebeast but he cannot harm me. I know him. He will try to revenge himself upon me - the freak!"
Hagar nodded. Even though at this moment she hated Zarkon, she could not allow him to be harmed by anyone. That was her curse...to love so fiercely and gain nothing in return....
