The Library
This page is a library of all the Pokemon I've seen in the fascinating world of Pokemon. Most of these drawings here were drawn by me, and then scanned and colored in iPhoto Plus. Tell me what you think of these pictures when you get the chance.
Pikachu
This cute little creature is called Pikachu. This is Ash
Catchem's first Pokemon(by accident or sheer luck). He is about
one and a quarter feet high, and is the star Pokemon of the show.
His power is electricity. Apparently, this Pikachu is more
powerful than the others and therefore a prime target for Team
Rocket, who never do seem to catch him. The average Pikachu is
generally shy, but all are known for their tempers. When one is
mad, or annoyed, its best to wear rubber gloves before handling
it. Pikachus are called Pikachus because that is the only thing
they ever say, they will generally only say Pi, Ka, Chu, Pika,
Kachu, or Pikachu.
Pidgey
This bird is the first Pokemon Ash tries to capture.
His attempt failed miserably and his Pokedex computer kindly
reminded him that you usually have your Pokemon battle and defeat
the wild one before you capture it. It has a wind attack and also
a sand attack. The average Pidgey is very gentle and easy to
capture, although never try to attack one without your Pokemon.
Spearo
This bird is the first Pokemon that attacks Ash and Pikachu. It has a bad temper and it usually attacks humans and Pokemon. If you see one, thats a good sign that there are a lot nearby. If at all possible, move carefully away from them. They are very fast and ram into their enemies.
Ekins
This snake-like creature is very fast and is often hard to hit. It is capable of burrowing into the ground at high speed and it knows where everything is above it. It uses a binding attack which crushes its prey in its coils. It can shoot acid out of its mouth which can burn through a ships hull. The Ekins that Team Rocket has is not really a bad guy, he just obeys his master, Jesse, without question.
Coffeen
This
mud-ball of a creature is a hovering sludge-factory. It always
has a smile on its face and always shouts its name when it is
released from its Pokeball. Its attacks include sludge shooting,
smoke screen, and slamming. Its very fast and is hard to injure.
Like Ekins, Coffeen isn't really a bad guy, he just does what his
master, James, tells him to do.
Meowth
This
is the only Pokemon I've seen so far that speaks English. At
least, I think he's a Pokemon. He usually stays out of fights,
but when he is fighting, he uses his claws and teeth very
effectively. He's got a big mouth on him and is the comedy act of
Team Rocket. He's the one who appears to be the leader of Team
Rocket, but then again, he does have a big mouth.
Caterpie
This
is the first Pokemon that Ash successfully captures. Its
basically a none combat Pokemon, mostly because its too small to
do any real damage, but its real power comes from its ability to
spray a spider web like substance at its opponents. The power
binds the creature in a very strong web and then the Caterpie
uses its unlikely speed to ram into its opponents and send them
flying. Typically their time as a Caterpie is short as they will
soon metamorph into a metapod and become Butterfree.
Pidgeyoto
This
is the second Pokemon that Ash captures. It is basically the more
advanced version of Pidgey. It has all the same attacks, but he
also has a wing attack, where he strikes with his wings. He's
much faster than Pidgey and a bit more irritable, but is still
gentle.
Charmander
This
Fire Pokemon had a tragic beginning in the show. Its trainer
thought that it was too weak to do him any good, so he abandoned
it telling it he'd come back. Unfortunatly he never did, and the
loyal Pokemon stayed where he was waiting for his master to
return. It was nearly killed in a rainstorm that almost caused
its tail flame to burn out. Fortunatly, Ash, Misty, Brock and
Pikachu found it and brought it to a Pokemon center, where after
a long wait, the doctor said he'd be fine. His trainer came back
for him after he saw what it did to Team Rocket. The Charmander
finally realized that his loyalty had been misplaced and returned
the favor along with Pikachu's help. Its attacks are mostly fire
based, but his flame is very strong and when angry can burn even
the thickest armor.
Bulbasaur
The
Bulbasaur are Pokemon who are half animal and half plant. Each
Bulbasaur carries a seedling on its back which developes as the
Bulbasaur grows. Bulbasaurs are very strong and difficult to
capture in the wild. Their special attack are twin vines which
extend outward like tentacles and hit their opponents. They are
also very loyal and noble. The one that Ash captures in the show
originally was the guardian of a Pokemon health spa, protecting
the weaker and injured Pokemon from Pokemon trainers. Bulbasaur
joined Ash and his friends after Ash helped save the village from
Team Rocket.
Squirtle
Squirtle's are basically turtles who can shoot
powerful blasts of water from their mouths and pull their heads,
and limbs into their shells and slam into their opponents. The
Squirtle's in the show are mischievious and like to pull pranks.
The Squirtles in the show were abandoned by their owners and then
became the Squirtle Squad. The leader joined Ash when Ash risked
his life for Pikachu. They're small, but they are pretty tough
little guys. They are expecially vulnerable to electricity.
Sandshrew
Sandshrew's are armidillo-like
creatures that can burrow underground and burst out of the ground
to strike at its opponents from above. A very strong Sandshrew
can cause the ground to crack open. They are weak against water,
but if trained properly it can become strong enough to resist
water. They are incredibly tough and strong, and can curl up into
a ball to slam into its opponents.
Butterfree
After spending time in a metapod, a Caterbee
becomes Butterfree. This rather slow, but medium strength Pokemon
is capable of going at high speed for a few seconds at a time and
slamming into its opponents. It has little sacs which produce
Stun Spore and Sleep Powder, which are Butterfree's special
attack. Unfortunatly, if the powder gets on the Butterfree, then
it can't take its own medicine. Also the powders can be washed
off and their effects neutralized. Basically a Butterfree is a
good Pokemon to have, but its powers aren't all that great. Once
a year the Butterfree are released to cross the ocean and have
babies. In order to find a mate, the Butterfree must perform a
courtship dance. If the dance is successful, then the other
Butterfree must perform another courtship dance. When that dance
is completed the Butterfree pair off and head across the ocean to
raise a family. Ash almost reluctantly released Butterfree into
the wild and after a battle with Team Rocket, went over with his
true love, a pink Butterfree.
Psyduck
Psyduck is a psychic pokemon. It is usually a
cowardly pokemon, but has strong psychic attacks. A problem with
all Psyducks is a constant headache. Loud yelling and annoying
problems cause the headache to increase. Apparently, inside a
Pokeball, the headache goes away and the Psyduck can relax. After
finding out why several children went missing and why the Pokemon
at the Pokemon center became weak, Misty caught Psyduck, well,
actually Psyduck activated one of her Pokeballs and captured
itself for Misty. She wasn't too pleased about capturing a
pokemon with a headache, but she's responsible and not cruel to
her pokemon, so she couldn't abandon him. He's basically a nice
Pokemon, but he's just a little bit annoying.
Hitmonchan
Hitmonchan is a
fighting Pokemon. It has no powers like many of the other
Pokemon, but it's strong. Its fists are covered in boxing gloves
and it can hit with incredible power. Pikachu attempted to battle
this Pokemon, but ended up only giving it nothing more than a
slap, or at least a pinch. It's light on its feet and is a pretty
smart fighter.
