My taste in music is changing and growing daily, so it's impossible to sit here and list everything I like.  My favorite composer is J.S. Bach, but I like all the big composers from the classical, romantic, and modern eras as well.  As you can see I'm very fond of 20th century Russian music right now.  If you want my reccommendations for classical recordings and performers, simply click on the composer you're interested in.  I have only listed a few of my favorite composers here, I will add more when I have time.  If you don't see what you're looking for, and you are really really desperate, you can email me.  If you don't care about any of this, simply skip it, I don't care.  I really don't, it's ok if you don't like classical music.  Maybe you would like to check out the SPICE section of my page.

In the realm of "popular" music, I'm quite fond of The Residents, Primus, and Frank Zappa.  These very strange musicians are the anti-pop.  Its nice to know there are crackheads who have infiltrated the pop music business. The Residents are a group of 4 anonymous quasi-musicians who have been forcing themselves on the public for over 25 years now.  They keep their identities a secret by wearing enormous eyeball masks.   If you'd like to learn more about this mysterious group of artists, visit their website sometime ( www.residents.com ). They have explored several forms of multimedia, so there is plenty to entertain you.  Recently they did their first live show in 8 years at the Fillmore in San Francisco.  Here they are, pictured by the Golden Gate Bridge in their full tuxedo and eyeball costumes.  If you want to hear some samples from their albums, or even buy an album online, go to the Music Boulevard Residents Discography by Clicking Here.  They are easy to love, but hard to listen to at first.  Be patient, and let the music grow on you like fungus.

Primus is much more publically accepted.  They are closely associated with The Residents, and often do covers of their music.  Primus is mostly known for its highly stylish and original bass player, Les Claypool.  They're a goofy bunch o' kids, and all members of the band have a great deal of talent.  If you ever get a chance to see Les stomp across a stage in your area, don't miss the opportunity.  Like every other band, person, animal, plant, fish, and rock in the world, Primus has a website as well. This is where you'll find it...www.primussucks.com

Frank Zappa has just recently started to "rock my world".  Almost everything he does has a bit of humor in it.  I didn't really go nuts for his music until I heard "Joe's Garage", which is a cheesy rock opera type thing that makes little/no sense.  But it never fails to entertain.
I recently picked up "Weasels Ripped My Flesh", which is an amazing album from start to finish.  As soon as I win the lottery I'm going to invest a lot of money into my meager Zappa collection.

Idiot Flesh is another band that spawned out of the same primordial soup as Primus.  Their shows are an evil parade of mayhem and theatrics.  Unfortunately, they recently disbanded due to popularity.  The band had a pact to break up if they ever reached any level of fame.  They mostly played in the bay area of California.  You won't find their albums readily available in record stores, so you'll have to have them special ordered. Or, you can order one online Right Now.

In yet another realm of the world of music, we find The Flecktones.  The best way to describe them would be as a Jazz band, but there are elements of bluegrass as well.  Bela Fleck, a well known banjo virtuoso, put this group together several years ago, and it seems like they have been touring all over the world ever since.  Unfortunately, the piano player, Howard Levy, had to leave the band a few years back.  To make up for the loss, we have Victor Wooten...a revolutionary bass player.  Victor provides quite a wake up call for teenage punks who think they can play bass once they've mastered "Come as you are".  The Flecktones are a phenomenal group of musicians.  It's really worth a listen.  And just guess what their website is called.... www.flecktones.com

So yeah...that's the kinda stuff I like.
