The Sleeping Beauty

She raise her head slowly from the book she was reading. Finally, she thought, a moment of rest after  the morning of hard work to keep the house okay.
She could heard Roshi's soft footsteps in the corridor and could feel Shiryu's Cosmo dancing like a violent waterfall but with the calmness of a sweet wind. He was nearby the cottage and she was tranquil now. This was one of a rarest day she feel really peaceful.
Her big dark eyes looked at the window while she closed the book he had brought to her from Japan. She was very tired and could feel her eyes closing against her will.
Her head fell a little, and her straight hair decayed at her shoulders in a wonderful and dark cascade. She left her compact body fall in the sofa and, still holding tightly the book in her little hands, fell in a deep sleep, her lips curved in a sweet smile; for the last thing she felt was Shiryu's ki, still dancing with its power and wisdom.

The house was silent, he couldn't feel his master's Cosmo there, but he could swear Roshi's ki was now near the mountains. But he didn't care at the moment because his deep gray eyes were locked by a beautiful scene at the cottage's main room.
He smiled, the smile that no one besides her had seen, his truth smile of happiness.
Shunrei was there, leaning in the sofa, her soft Cosmo burning with life, a life he loved since the first time he had felt it.
He closed the door, been careful to not make any noise and leaned forward to her.
Shunrei's delicate lips were curved in a tiny smile, and he thought for what was that precious sign in her face.
The book was still in her hands, which hold it with care.
He reached his hand to brush aside some of her wild hair, and smiled again, feeling the soft flower's smell in her dark hair.
She moved a little, whispering something he couldn't understand.
He'd stay like this forever, forgotten of all the pain he had suffered in all the battles he had fought in, just drank in the sight of her pure and pale face, his heart whispering in his mind three words he still couldn't say to her: "Wo ai ni", "I love you."
But he noted she was shivering a little and the afternoon was a little cold. He knew she was very sensitive to the weather, and worried about her health, he decided to take her to her own room.
With an infinite tenderness, he got her little body in his arms and raise to his feet, to go to the corridor and her room.
The book fell to the sofa without a sound, and Shunrei, still deep asleep raise her right arm and embraced his neck softly. Shiryu shivered at the contact and brought her a bit closer to him.
Then, he walked with her to the other room, his heart beating against her face. He leaned her in the bed and covered her body with a white sheet, considering the asleep girl as the most precious jewel of his life.
Finally, he took a few steps away and watched her from the door. She was *beautiful*. Like a goddess, a pure and almost unreal goddess.
It was almost a sacrilege to wake her up. She could sleep for now, he thought. He would take care of the dinner this time.
Still smiling, he came back to the main room and cached the book in the sofa: "The Sleeping Beauty".
He tried to hide his laugh and walked to the girl's bedroom again, to put the book on her desk.
That's it, he thought looking at her sleeping face once more. She was the most beautiful 'Sleeping Beauty' he had ever knew.
