To look after the safety, health and welfare of the mine workers; provide
in-service training to mine supervisors & mine workers in the field of
mines, rescue and mine workers; prepare middle line supervisors in the
training centre & training mine; arrange short courses relevant to mines;
prepare the mine surveyors in the survey; improve mine environments through
the mines sample testing laboratory
