1:- To prepare land resources inventory of the country. 2:- To provide
basis for soil oriented agricultural research. 3:- To provide scientific
basis for soil conservation projects. 4:- To conduct ecological surveys.
5:- To conduct training courses for agencies involved in agriculture/nonagriculture
land uses. 6:- To collaborate in land use and land development planning.
7:- To provide basis for individual farm planning in intensively cultivated
areas.
