The hunt for the ACC continues...

And, unfortunately, it has lead me here.

This is considered a Darkfic. Although my words are a bit more... choice, we'll call it that.

To start, this fic is (and I quote directly from the author) "a product of watching Natural Born Killers, The Doom Generation, and The Matrix waaaaay too much."

'Nuff said.

From there, it goes on to disregard just about every reason why Gendo and Keel wanted to invoke Third Impact. Quick plot summary: Gendo gets Kaworu to help him initiate the Third Impact. Meanwhile, an elderly psychotic serial killer is going around raping and killing important people to NERV. (read: pilots & commanding officers) Then, it degrades to author wish-fulfillment. Apparently, her wishes involve mass death and destruction.

The ACC's here are a female Angel/human hybrid, a la Rei, who is the 'living incarnation of Death.' Or something to that effect. She's got the all-powerful ATField, can shoot a gun better than Clint Eastwood, and has sex with Kowaru. And her name's Sublime. (If I were to guess, the writer is a DV8 fan.)

The other is Washington, the aforementioned psychotic assassin. Since I'm trying to forget what he did, we'll leave it at that.

The violence is gratuitous and pointless. It's simply there for a shock element. Personally, I don't care. I've seen and read worse. But, as I stated five seconds ago, there's no point to it.

The thing about this fic that really gets me is the sexual abuse that just about everyone seems to endure. Not only is it pointless and there for the shock value as well; it's just disturbing.

There is no characterization in this fic in the slightest. Most Darkfics I've read have had some semblance at attempting to show characterization. It may be for the good, or for the bad, but it's still in them.

The writing is average. Nothing special, nothing horrible. (Except the story) The writer needs a good spell-check, though.

So is it worth it? No. In fact, if you see it, ignore it. It might go away. A shame, really.

Until Instrumentality is needed again.
