Several members from the Fushigi Yuugi Mailing List went to AX (the Anime Expo convention in California) over the July 4th weekend and the guest was none other than THE Watase Yuu. o.o (lucky little people *pouts*) They took her the scrapbook we made (the ML as a whole) and said she
was hugging it and wouldnt let go and liked it very much ^o^ (YAY! just in case you _were_ on the fyml and have unsubbed and might want to know ^.~) and they
got to talk to her in person. She answered some of the questions that weve had forever and ever and 3 were specifically about Nakago. The answers are below as well as some other important info you all will be interested in about our favorite series. REMEMBER...these are the creator's answers. Not all of the questions were about Nakago but several of them were. (Hm. Wonder who asked those??? *grin*) Some of the answers may surprise you...
(our question) 1. Would Nakago really have raped Miaka? (her answer) No, it was Tomo's idea so he wasn't really into the idea of "that". (our question) 2. What is Nakago's real name? (her answer) Never really thought about it. (our question) 3. Did Nakago really love Soi? (her answer) Yes but he didn't realize it until she "blocked" somthing for him. (our question) 4. At the end of the manga did Chichiri heal the scar on his eye? (her answer) That was for the fans to decide for themselves (our question) 5. What's the next novel going to be about? (after Genrou Den) (her answer) About Chichiri's past. (our question) 6. Is Houki Kourin's reincarnation? (her answer) Never really thought about it but its a good idea... (our question) 7. Is Tasuki ever goning to get a girl? (her answer) Nope. (various cheers from the present FYMLers and DTFC members) (our question) 8. Is Amiboshi still alive at the end? (her answer) Yes, even in the OAV's: that Mitsukake came in time to save him. (our question) 9. Did Chichiri and Mitsukake's families know each other before the flood killed them? (her answer) No. (our question) 10. What would Nuriko think of the fact that Hotohori's wife looked suspicoulsly like him ? (her answer) That Nuriko should have tried harder (snicker) (our question) 11. Was the the first time we saw Miboshi his origional body? (her answer) No, he possesed the body of a child monk. (So that leaves the possiblility that he was a bishonen!) (our question) 12. How did she find out that she had fans in the US? (her answer) Throught Animerica when they came to interview her in Japan. (our question + answer) 13. (FYI) Ayashi no Ceres is in the works for becoming an anime. (our question) 14. How come Tomo is never showed w/o his makeup? (her answer) She was planning on showing him more later on but he died before she could get to it. Also. They did ask her who her favorite character was and she said that for the series its Nakago, ^-^ and after the series - once hes gone - (sobs) its Taka. |
