Welcome to Kuril Islands (Chishima Retto)!


Kuril Islands are chains of islands that stretches from Hokkaido to Kamchatka Pennensula. Its length is about 1200km. Although I should say that the Southern two islands of Etorofu and Kunashiri are not part of Kuril islands, I will talk about them too since according to world's definition today, they are part of it. Shikotan and Habomais are not Kurils at all and are just an extention of Hokkaido. Kurils are famous with fishery and cannery and also famous with many beautiful plants and animals. Feel free to look around. Kuril Islands are also lands stolen from Russian and must be given back to Japan.
