"Wow," she remarked, "that was awesome. And Ami-chan is so cool!" With that, she stood up, took the subbed tape of BSSM out of the VCR and put it back in the case. Suddenly, a voice sounded inside her head. "The Amichanians of Otaku World are seeking new members. All Mercury Otaku, please help support our Senshi!"[1] "Otaku World?" wondered Aureal aloud. "Hey, I've never been there, I'll go check it out! Anything to help the great Mercury!" Aureal grinned excitedly, grabbed her baseball cap and placed it on her head. "All right, first step, find Otaku World!" Aureal said, and transported herself to another dimension. Aureal reappeared in a flash of silver and blue, and glanced at her surroundings. "Hmm, I couldn't have gotten lucky enough to have found Otaku World on my first try, could I? Still, better make sure," she muttered to herself, and waved at some people who had been passing by. "Hey," Aureal called, "what world is this?" The group of people just kind of stared at her, wondering who the heck she was and how she'd just appeared in front of them. Finally, one of them came forward. "What?" he blinked confusedly, "what do you mean, what world is this?" "Just what I said, what world is this? This isn't Otaku World is it?" Aureal inquired. "Er... no... I don't think so..." the man said, looking even more confused. He looked back at one of his companions verified, "right, Raist?" "Correct, Caramon," the one he'd asked replied, then peered curiously at Aureal. "And who are you," he started to ask, but Aureal had already waved goodbye and went on to the next world. Many worlds (and weeks) later, Aureal reappeared. How exactly she appeared wasn't very apparent this time, because she had appeared in a very dark cave. Aureal turned around, looking for light. A faint flicker caught her eye, and she walked towards it, and finally came out on a ledge above a pool of molten lava. Aureal stared down at it for a while, trying to figure out where to go next, when suddenly she was bumped into by someone behind her. She quickly turned and saw that a small, skinny creature was right behind her, and it had dropped something. "Oh, excuse me," she said and bent to pick up the item, "here, let me get that for you." She picked it up and was about to offer it to the creature, when she noticed what it was. "EEEEEEWWWWWW! Sick! A severed finger!!!" Aureal shrieked and whirled about, hurling the finger far off into the magma. "Precious!!!!" the skinny creature wailed, and jumped off the ledge, clutching desperately for the finger. Aureal watched, a large sweatdrop appearing on her head, as she started to mutter, "what a stupid little creature..." when suddenly the earth began to shake and rocks started falling down around her. "Ack! I think it's time to leave this world..." she said even as she vanished. Many more worlds later, Aureal appeared in a puff of blue smoke in the middle of a huge desert. "A desert," she grumbled, "I hate deserts." Hoping to be able to leave soon, she quickly scanned the area for people. Seeing a conveniently placed bystander, she walked over to him and opened her mouth to ask which world this was, but he beat her to it. "Hello," said the man, "I am the official greeter of the Great Otaku Desert. I will conduct you on a guided tour of the Desert. The first sightseeing point is just off to your left there." Aureal looked left as he continued on, "that is a pile of sand." Aureal blinked. "Hey, wait a minute," she began but was cut off again by his monologue. "Off to your right there is another pile of sand. Directly in front of you is yet another pile of sand." "OK, I get it," Aureal crossly stated, but still the greeter continued on, "and right behind you is-" Aureal interrupted him, "let me guess, a fourth pile of sand?" The greeter smoothly responded, "no, behind you is a Giant Otaku Desert Worm, which is especially fond of the colors white and blue... fond of eating things those colors, anyway." Aureal frowned at having been wrong, then looked down at her blue jeans and white t-shirt. "Uhhh..." She whipped around, digging into her pocket for some type of weapon with which to combat the Worm, only to see... a fourth pile of sand. She narrowed her eyes and angrily turned back around, but the greeter was gone. "What the..." she muttered, before another realization struck her. "Hey, he said this was the Great Otaku Desert! This must be Otaku World!" Aureal leaped into the air in excitement, landing so she was facing the fourth pile of sand. Only it wasn't the fourth pile of sand any more. It was a Giant Otaku Desert Worm. And it looked hungry. Aureal stared up at the thing towering over her and faintly gasped out, "eep." The maw of the Worm came crashing down where she had been, but Aureal had already transported back to her home. Back at her place, Aureal gasped in relief, then began leaping in joy again. After several minutes of this, she realized she wasn't getting anywhere by doing so, and transported back to Otaku World. SPLOOSH! Aureal's re-entrance to Otaku World wasn't seen by anyone, because she was in the middle of the ocean. Unfortunately, this meant that Aureal was in the middle of the ocean as well. "Argh! This isn't f-" Aureal spit seawater out of her mouth and began to tread water. "-unny," she finished. Craning her neck, she saw no land in sight, so with a swirl of water, Aureal was gone. Aureal sighed and put her head on her table. "When am I going to find the Amichanians?" she wondered aloud. For the last few months, she had been jumping back and forth between Otaku World and her home dimension, trying to find the Amichanians. I wish I could just teleport between two places in one world, she thought, that would make this easier. She glanced ruefully at the BSSM tapes, which she had been watching much of the time. I wouldn't have all these distractions... Aureal sighed again, and as she did so, her garments shifted, and were suddenly blue robes with silver stitching. "Well," she said, standing up, "I'm not getting anything done here. With that, she was back in Otaku World. After surprisingly few tries, Aureal appeared with a dramatic swoosh of her cape atop a pile of rubble. Surveying the ruins, she noticed several people a little ways off, of of who seemed to be digging frantically through the rubble and shouting. Frowning, Aureal watched a while longer as the man uncovered a few people, then suddenly noticed a blue-haired woman standing nearby. As the man ran up to the woman, Aureal blinked and looked closer. "No... that's not her... looks a lot like Ami-chan, though. Perhaps these people know something about these 'Amichanians' I'm looking for." Aureal started off towards the group of people, hoping they would be able to help her. TBC? Please? ^_^ [1] A reference to a thread I read months ago, where the Amichanians sent out a message to come join them. It's probably not even in continuity, but I got the idea in my head and couldn't get rid of it. ^_^ I would've come then, but was rather busy in RL... hence the amount of time it took to get here. Aureal- didn't realize it took so long to write these things ^_^ MoonieCode (1.12.05) SM:5 F:sMe>+[+]:vZoSf X:[*]:a[S]s+++|ClRd+[+] O:d:s:o++:a-:h--:x?
