Shinichirou
Kudou is
Shuuichirou's grandfather. He is a wealthy business man who lives in Canada
but often comes to Japan to visit his grandson. Shuuichirou is not related
to him by blood as he was adopted by Shinichirou's son, but grandpa just
likes him so much. He always wishes that his grandson could live happily
with the person he loves most. When grandpa meets Kohaku, he tells him
a lot of things about the family. He is an energetic, pleasant old man,
yet both his son and grandson die early than he does. |
Hotaru
is Shuuichirou's so-called mother, but also a Wisteria Spirit who always
looks as young as a thirteen year-old. Besides, she can't walk nor see,
and she relied much on Shuuichirou to take care of her. Shuuichirou has
a special feeling about her, but Hotaru tells him when he was fifteen that
there is another person in the future who will be bonded to him through
a red thread around their ring-finger. It turns out that Hotaru is a Wisteria
spirit and, knowing that Shuuichirou's father (her husband) was going to
die, she turned back into the wisteria tree in the park. Others only knew
that she has disappeared in the park when the wisteria is blooming beautifully,
until Kohaku and Kouryuu went back in time 13 years later, trying to help
Shuuichirou to search for his mother. (Please read Wish 2 for more details.) |

Sango
(Coral) is a white cat that usually sleeps in front of a cigarette
store during the day. However, it turns into a fierce cat with golden eyes
at night. One day, when Kohaku went to the vending machine to purchase
a pack of cigarette for Shuuichirou, the white cats jumped at him and started
to chase him. Kohaku and Shuuichirou later found out that the cat has dual
personality, and it has fallen in love with Kohaku. It has asked Kohaku
to give it a name other than Sango. As a result, Kohaku calls it Shinju
(Peral) at night, and he and Shuuichirou often visit it when they
pass by the store. |

The birds
in the garden of Shuuichirou's house are all friends of Kohaku. They enjoy
the singing of Kohku, and when he is down, they try to cheer him up. These
chubby birds also feel shame when they see what Kokyou and Hisui are doing
when there are no one else in the house... |
There are also many others who I can't mention them all, such as the little
girl at the hospital, all the angel babies born from Kohaku's singing,
the birds near the park (they are thinner birds), Shuuichirou's dead father
(never appear in person in the manga), and, last but NEVER the least, God
the Highest Himself. ^_^ Thank all these characters who have added
so much flavour into the story. |
