Wish 1
Contact.1 The Angel Who Has Come to the World

After a long shift at the hospital, the young doctor Shuuichirou Kudou comes upon a doll-like object hanging on a tree which is being attacked by a crow. He saves the object out of kindness, but very much to his surprise, the "doll" tells him that he is an angel named Kohaku. Shuuichirou cannot believe this at first, but Kohaku insists to repay him by helping him to realize a wish. Kohaku follows him to his home and stays in his garden during the night, expecting him to tell him his wish. However, Shuuiichirou keeps telling himself that the phenomenon is just a dream, and he kills the night by being sound asleep.

In the next morning, Shuuichirou wakes up to find that Kohaku is still in his garden. Moreover, Kohaku transforms himself from the doll-like creature into a beautiful young person right before his eyes. Shuuichirou therefore goes back to bed, thinking that he is still dreaming. Kohaku has to spend a lot of talking to convince him to at least listen. Shuuichirou tells Kohaku that he does not like things that is unreal. He also says that he is not in need of anything, and he thinks that one should works hard to realize one's wish by oneself.

"Surely, there must be a wish one cannot realize alone!" Kohaku said to Shuuichirou.

Kohaku helps Shuuichirou to water the trees in his garden by using his magical power. The water begins to pour down like a fountain, but in the process Shuuichirou becomes soaking wet. Kohaku apologizes profoundly and begs Shuuichirou to allow him to stay until he has figured out what his wish is going to be. Shuuichirou finally agrees to let him stay, but he still says that he may never have any wish at all.

"No, you WILL have one. Since no individual can live alone, there must be wishes that cannot be realized by oneself." Kohaku is full of hope and excitement.

Thus begins the story of the odd couple living together.
