The Rock's Outrage Page
Bust a Move: Dance and Rhythm Action. A Playstation Dancing game released last year. I first saw it at the Anime Expo '98 video games competition and I didn't know what to make of it. When I played it a few months later, it was the first non-fighting, action, or role-playing game I ever liked that I sucked at! When I heard that it was going to be released here, the first thing I thought of was "What the hell are they going to #@$% up now?" Don't get me wrong, I am not biased against American games, it's just that most of the Japanese games that get translated here are mostly screwed up! examples are:
Point is, 989 Sports just stick to football and skateboarding games (or just plain 'ol just get Extinct!), dont make good games go sucky, and that's the bottom line 'cause the Rock said so.
Soul Edge(Jap) had better response time than Soul Blade(US)making some combos impossible to do in the US version
Resident Evil Series(US) were censored
Street Fighter EX(US) less response time, controls are mixed up.
Rival Schools(US) same as above, has no taunts, no Edit Character mode, combos and team up attacks looks less awesome
Bust a Groove(US) The English version songs just plain old SUCKED. Can't they make better lyrics than that? Some glitches that were in the Japanese version were more emphasized in the US version, controls are now messed up, they don't dance in sync with the music now esp. with the new US version of Kitty-N's music and two Shortys' dancing in her stage.
And if you're not up with the Rock, Mr. Garrison's
got 11 words for ya!
