I will introduce myself: I am 20 years old and am in third year of an Asian Studies/ Law degree. My major is in Mandarin language, but I went to Japan in high school for a year, so can also speak Japanese at a conversational level. I have lived on a farm my whole life 25 Kms north of Wagga Wagga, NSW, but for the past two and a half years have been living on campus at the Australian National University.

I love travelling and meeting people from other cultures, and learning other languages. I also love partying, especially theme parties, playing tennis, great food, and talking.

I met Vi, Tegan and Ant last Saturday which was fantastic, and I know Kirsty Munroe who knows Bonnie, and she showed me a picture of you, so I at least have an idea of what you look like, but I will have to wait to meet the rest of you in a few weeks.

I haven’t received all of your e-mails, and no introductory e-mails, so I may be rehashing what you have all already discussed. However, with regards to needles, I found yesterday that yellow fever and cholera have to be taken 4 weeks apart, which is time we don’t have. I know we MUST have yellow fever vacc, so I decided not to have the cholera vacc which is not very effective anyway and isn’t even reccomended by the WHO. An alternative is to have the Yellow fever and cholera together, but that may reduce the effectiveness of the yellow fever. I was reccomended against this. What is everyone doing?
