Shampoo
Character Biography

Descripton: Shampoo is a Chinese Amazon who gets herself engaged to Ranma when she comes to Tokyo in attempt to kill the female Ranma, she did not know the two were the same at the time. It turns out that while Ranma is attempting to protect Akane from Shampoo, he defeats her. According to Amazon tribal law, if a female outsider defeats you in combat (ranma female) you must kill her without haste, but if the outsider is a man (ranma male) you must marry him. When Shampoo finds out about Ranma's curse, she is told that he is really a female. Saddened in that she fell in love with male Ranma, Shampoo returns to China and tells her Great Grandmother, cologne about her predicament. Cologne takes Shampoo to Jusenkyo to retrain her. Unfortunately, Shampoo falls into Maonichuan, the Spring of Drowned Cat. Needless to say, Shampoo was quite unhappy when she discovered Ranma had a severe fear of cats.

Shampoo is highly possessive of Ranma and has a furious temper around all of his other fiancees. When she is around Ranma, she is very calm and docile. She speaks in broken English with a Chinese accent, or how the Japanese percieve a Chinese accent, which makes her character highly amusing. Often times when she is mad at Ranma, she will turn into a cat and chase him around for a while, which she seems to find amusing.

Shampoo has another male in the Ranma universe who would try to be her suitor. This man is mousse the master of hidden weapons. Mousse was Shampoo's childhood friend, but was defeated by Shampoo when they were three. Shampoo has rejected him ever since that day, and Mousse has been after her ever since.
