Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon R - Sailor Atlantia Episode 3:
"Ail's Obsession, Ann's Attraction; The Awakening of the Inner Senshi"
Sailor Atlantia 3
Usagi, Terra and Ariel walked along, oblivious to the threat that phased into existence above them. Ail eyed the three girls carefully.
"Those three look like nice targets..." he eyed the silver haired girl. "Especially HER, since Ann seems to hate her so much."
Ail would take her energy, using a cardian, so he could give it to Ann. He took out his flute and produced a card from nothingness. "I hope Ann doesn't feel left out...Cardian Morthra, appear!" He placed the flute to his lips, and began to play the haunting tune.

Ariel looked up. "What's that music?"
Usagi looked around. "I don't know." she shrugged, then smiled, "It sounds pretty, though."
Terra nodded. "True. But also kind of sad, in a way..."
Ariel glanced around nervously. "Its eerie..." She whispered. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck rise. "Oh no, oh no, oh no..." she turned around, Usagi and Terra doing the same.
The sight made her wish she'd never moved to Japan. A monster with wings, eyes, and antennae of moth all put on a humanoid frame stood there, leering at them.
        "Not again!" she cried.
"Morthra here, ready to drain your energy!" it said in introduction, then sent out a volley of fluffy white fuzz balls. Nevertheless, the three girls dodged them. You'd never know WHAT was in those things... However, Ariel was just a BIT(and we're talking fractions of a second here!) too slow.
One of the fuzz balls hit her and it started growing around her, draining her energy.
"Not again..." she whispered as her eyelids closed.

"Henshin yo, Usagi-chan!" Terra cried, as she raised her henshin wand. "EARTH POWER, MAKE UP!"
The elements rushed around her, fire forming the elbow length gloves she wore, air her tiara, water her bodysuit, and earth growing up around her legs and dropping away to reveal her high heeled shoes. When the elemental storm cleared, Sailor Earth stood poised to fight.
"MOON CRYSTAL POWER, MAKE UP!" In a burst of light, crescents, and feathers, she transformed into Sailor Moon.
"Machinasai!" shouted Sailor Moon. The monster turned to her, growling. Then it lunged at her, and she screamed. "No fair, I want to do my speech!"
"Just don't get hit, Sailor Moon!" Terra said.
"We need the other Senshi!" Sailor Moon cried, dodging the creature.
        "But Luna's not HERE!"
"Perhaps I can offer my assistance?" said a somewhat familiar voice. They looked up, and saw the man from the first attack, the man in white.
"I am the Moonlight Knight." he said, summoning a white rose, and sending it hurtling at Morthra.
The rose found it's target, and Morthra doubled over in pain. Sailor Moon took off her tiara.
"MOON TIARA ACTION!" Sailor Moon cried, sending the tiara of light at the youma. It was hit, but then it stood up, crushing the white rose in it's hand, laughing as the wound repaired itself.
"N-nani?!" Sailor Moon cried as she caught her tiara and put it back on. *How did-?*
Then, from the heavens, something hurtled down towards her. She looked up and quickly caught the object before it impaled her. When she looked at it, it reminded her of a regal crown set on top of a pair of wings set on a stick.
"My daughter." she heard a voice say.

"Queen Serenity!" Usagi admonished, and then she noticed she wasn't in her sailor outfit any more. She was dressed in the flowing white gown she had worn to banish Queen Beryl. She was no longer on the battlefield either, but in some region of netherspace, looking up into her mother's face.
"Yes, my daughter." Queen Serenity's beautiful, almost musical, voice answered. "When you destroyed Beryl, you wiped the planet clean of the threat of the Dark Kingdom. But now you face a new enemy. One which doesn't use human beings to do it's bidding."
She motioned to the object Princess Serenity now held. "This is the Moon Scepter. It will destroy these creations when you cry out ‘Moon Princess Halation.' Do you understand?"
Princess Serenity nodded. "Of course, mother."
"Very well. Now, go save your friends. And remember, always, that love is the strongest weapon you have. It has always triumphed where force has failed." Queen Serenity said, as she started to dissipate.
"No! Mother, don't go!" Princess Serenity cried.
"Do not worry, my daughter." she heard the words echo through the area. "I will be with you always in your heart."

And with that final statement, Sailor Moon found herself standing in the midst of battle again. Not a second had passed from when she had disappeared, but now she held the Moon Scepter, the means to destroy these creatures. And she knew how to use it.
She spun around, her hair flowing like the wind. Then she held the scepter above her head and white light refracted through the crown jewel on top.
"MOON PRINCESS HALATION!" she cried as she swung the scepter from side to side, finally bringing it to bear on the monster. White light cascaded out and struck the creature.
"NOOO!!!" Morthra cried as the light struck him. After he was vaporized, a single, tarot-sized card fell from where he stood and landed in the pavement, cutting into the stone and hissing out black smoke as the entire front of the card blackened.
"Poor Ariel," Sailor Moon said as she clutched the scepter to her chest. "drained twice in one day."
Sailor Earth nodded. "The way she's going, you'd think she was the new energy source for the Dark Kingdom."
That caused Sailor Moon to laugh, though Sailor Earth looked more serious. "Let's just wait here for her to wake up, then go to the arcade."
"Ok, but we'd better be normal when she does!" Sailor Moon said.
"Right." Sailor Earth said, and in a sparkle of light the two Senshi were Terra and Usagi again.

"Hmmm..." murmured Ail. "That didn't work as well as I had expected. Still, I have enough energy from that girl for her. Ann should be pleased."
        He faded away.

Ariel felt groggy as she began to come to.
*It's all just a bad nightmare,* she thought *I'm going to wake up and not be me, but who I should be: the Queen of the World! Yeah, that's it...*
She opened her eyes. As she did so, she saw Usagi, who was looking down at her with a look of concern that was quickly replaced by a relieved smile as she did so.
"Ariel-chan!" Usagi cried as she embraced the startled girl. Ariel shook off the shock, and hugged Usagi back.
"What happened?" she asked. *Even though I already know.*
        "You went unconscious." Usagi said.
"Thanks for waiting for me to wake up." Ariel replied, a look of relief on her face. *I know I just didn't go unconscious. When will all this weirdness end?*
"Let's get to the arcade!" Usagi said, quickly turning back to Ariel, "That is, if you're all right, Ariel-chan?"
Ariel nodded. "I'm fine, Usagi. Let's go!"
With that, the three girls started on their way to the arcade.

Usagi and Ariel were busy with the new Sailor V game, and Terra stood off to the side. She looked down at the bracelet she wore, her communication bracelet.
*I never thought I'd have to use this again, but we have to get all the Senshi back together and give them their memories.* So, while Usagi and Ariel played, she contacted Luna.
"We have to get to the temple and have all the other Senshi meet us there so we can give them back their memories." she whispered into the watch.
"I'll get Makoto, and Rei will be their already. Why don't you try to get Ami and Minako?" was the low reply from Luna.
"I'll do that, Luna. See you then." She closed the communication.
        Then HE walked in.
"Mamoru..." Terra whispered as she watched him walk over to Motoki.
        "Hey, Motoki-kun."
Motoki smiled. "Mamoru-kun! How've you been? I haven't seen you around lately."
"I've been busy with college." Mamoru sighed. "How about you?"
It was Motoki's turn to sigh. "Working here. I think it's my destiny, even if I do want to be a doctor."
"I'm sure you'll get out of here..." as Terra listened to the conversation between the two, Ariel looked over. Her eyes fell on Mamoru, and widened.

*Wow, Mamoru...* Ariel sighed happily, then nudged Usagi. "Usagi, look, over there, near the counter. Isn't he just the most handsome guy you've ever seen?"
"No one could be more handsome..." Usagi choked on her words. *Than my Mamo-chan! But...that IS my Mamo-chan! But, wait....if I forgot, then he...HE forgot too!*

Ariel shrugged her shoulders, since Usagi hadn't replied, and walked over to Mamoru.
"Hello Mamoru!" she said, smiling brightly. He turned to her, and smiled when he saw who it was.
"Hi Ariel! How have you been?"
"Fine, just fine...I would've been better if YOU'D been around me, though." she said, winking. Then she blushed and covered her mouth, realizing how blunt she'd just been.
        He grinned at her reply.
"You're just too cute." he said.
        She blushed deeper. "Mamo..."
"Well, Mamoru-kun," Motoki interrupted, interested. "are you going to introduce me to your friend?"
Mamoru nodded. "Of course, Motoki-kun. This is Ariel. Ariel, this is an old friend, Motoki-kun."
"How do you do?" Motoki asked, then a thought hit him. "I have a great idea," quickly adding, "unless she really is JUST a friend."
Ariel blushed and even deeper shade of red at that, but Mamoru took her arm gently.
"Would you mind, Ariel?" he asked, tenderly.
She looked up at him, and shook her head wildly.
"No! Being with you sounds wonderful!"
Motoki clapped his hands. "Great. We can go on a double date, you and Ariel-chan, and Reika-chan and I. It'll be great!"
Mamoru nodded. "It does sound nice."

All the while, Terra had been watching. She heard everything, from Ariel's flirting to Mamoru's asking Ariel on a date, and saw the look of heartbreak on Usagi's face. "Poor Usagi-chan..." she whispered to herself, then walked over to her friend.
"Usagi-chan, we have to go the temple."
The blond haired girl nodded sadly. "Hai, Terra-chan. Let's go now..."
        She stood, head down.
"I'll let Ariel-chan know we have urgent business." Usagi didn't even nod, just left the arcade. Terra then walked over to Mamoru, Motoki, and Ariel. "Ariel-chan, Usagi-chan and I have to go, something's come up."
        Ariel nodded. "I'll go too!"
Terra shook her head at Ariel's words.
"No, you enjoy your date..." then, in a whisper. "Let your grandfather know, all right?" Ariel nodded, and Terra continued in a louder voice. "So, enjoy your date! Usagi-chan and I will see you at school tomorrow."
Ariel smiled, and nodded. "See you then, Terra. And good luck with your business!"
Terra walked out, following the dejected Usagi.

Mamoru spoke once she had gone. "So, Ariel, I suppose you should get home and get ready...I'll take you, so I know where to pick you up. Motoki, how about the Berakuu Staa at 8?" Motoki nodded.
"Reika and I will see you there." Mamoru then took Ariel's arm in his, and walked out of the arcade. Ariel was quiet, so many things were going through her head. And then she saw her.
        Natsume.
"Hello, Silantat." she said, her voice taking on a more malicious tone at the next words, "You don't think I stopped thinking about you, know do you? Let me rest your muddled mind if you're wondering: I didn't."
        "Please, Natsume..." *Oh, God...why now?*
Natsume growled. "And don't you dare talk over me!"
"Hmmm." Mamoru murmured, then louder. "Natsume, is it?"
"Yes it..." Natsume glanced over at Mamoru, "is..." she said dreamily, with hearts in her eyes. "And what's your name?"
Mamoru grimaced, and Ariel looked like she was about to go on the warpath.
"Chiba Mamoru." he said quietly, and Ariel clung to his arm even tighter.
"And he's MY boyfriend!" Ariel shouted, almost possessively, then blushed this horrible shade of crimson. *Well, we ARE going on a date.* she tried to rationalize what she had just said with herself.
Mamoru just smiled down at Ariel. Then he looked back at Natsume. "She's right about that."
"Too bad." Natsume said, aloud. "Well, I have to be off." she smiled, almost warmly, and walked off, muttering about how she was going to destroy Ariel as soon as she was out of their range of hearing.
"Well, here's my motorcycle." Mamoru said as he approached his bike. "I'm glad I have a spare helmet."
Ariel nodded. "Yes, safety is important."
He helped her on, then got on himself.
"Hold on." he said, and she complied happily, holding him tightly.
        And then they were off.

Usagi still had her head down as she grumbled. "Okay, what now? We're at the Temple."
Terra glanced sympathetically over at Usagi. She felt for her, but what could she do? *Am I supposed to tell Ariel that Usagi and Mamoru have a destined love, and break her heart? If it is destiny, then Mamoru will realize that!*
"Let me go inside, you wait here, alright, Usagi-chan?"
        Usagi nodded.
"Good." Terra then walked up the steps, and through the arch, into the temple yard. She looked around, and found Rei sweeping the front porch, wearing her robes. Terra walked over to her.
        "Rei-chan...?" she asked.
Rei looked over at her, and Terra had a feeling in her stomach. Then, Rei smiled warmly, erasing all of her doubt.
"Hello, Terra-chan!" she looked around "Where's Usagi?"
        "Luna already...?"
"Yes, I already returned her memories. It's the easiest way, I mean," the cat finished, almost grinning. "I can't use the phone, and Rei-chan CAN."
"I called Mako-chan, she should be here shortly."
"Great! This is turning out to be a great day!" Terra smiled, then frowned. "Well, not that great for all of us, that is."
"What do you mean, Terra-chan?" Rei asked, concern in her voice.
"Mamoru...he doesn't remember anything. And he asked Ariel-chan on a date tonight RIGHT in front of Usagi-chan."
        "Ariel-chan?" Rei asked.
"She's a new friend of Usagi-chan's and mine. Very nice, you should meet her. But it isn't Ariel-chan's fault Mamoru doesn't remember...still, Usagi-chan looks so SAD."
"Even so...we have more important things to do. Terra, you need to call Ami-chan and Minako-chan, and get them over here somehow." Terra nodded at Rei's words.
"I'll get right on it, Rei-chan."

Ann punched the wall in anger and frustration. Ail hadn't gotten back, and she wanted to summon a Cardian to deal with a certain problem of hers.
"Why is he never here when I need him?" She cried, as she sat back. "And I REALLY need him this time!"
The green skinned, pink haired alien sat in a chair, pouting. "How that freak Silantat got a boyfriend in the first place, I'll never know..." her eyes narrowed as she got even angrier, "but that he's a hunk to boot...! Grrrr!"
She smiled sardonically as she said her next words. "When Ail gets back, though, I'll make her pay! And steal that guy, Mamoru," she smiled and looked wistfully at the sky when she said his name, "I will DESTROY Ariel Silantat!"
And the apartment rang with her maniacal laughter.

Ginga Seijuurou was walking down the street, humming to himself. It had turned a pleasant enough day, even Natsume had stopped griping, for the time being. So, he was going to spend a relaxing day outside. And then, as he was walking past a shrine, he saw HER. Long blond swept up into two ponytails, and bright blue eyes, she looked like an angel. Not of his own thought, he walked over to her.
"Hello." he said, and she looked up, in shock. Her blue eyes were misted with sadness.
"H-hello." She said, and he looked her over.
"Now I know who you are, you're Usagi, from my class."
She paused for a minute, then it looked as if she had just remembered him.
"Hello, Seijuurou-san. How are you doing?" She asked, politely, and he smiled brightly.
"Fine, now that I have laid eyes upon your loveliness." Usagi blushed red.
        "Seijuurou-san..." she whispered.
"What is it, Usagi? Do I offend you?" she shook her head in answer.
"No, no, no it's not that! It's just...I like someone else..." And, before he could answer, she ran up the stairs, into the temple yard as he stared after her.
"Well then," he whispered, a hint of malevolence in his voice. "I'll just have to change that, now, won't I?"

"Is there anything I can do?" Usagi asked as she burst into Rei's room. Rei, standing their holding Luna, shook her head.
"Terra-chan already called Ami-chan, and she's on the phone with Minako-chan right now."
"I really wanted to help..." Usagi said sadly, as Luna leapt from Rei's hands, and padded over to Usagi.
"Usagi-chan, you've done enough." Usagi grinned, and picked Luna up.
"Obviously Rei-chan knows." Luna nodded, and Terra entered the room.
"Ami-chan is on her way, but it took a little working to get my sister to come. I think Artemis heard what she was talking about, though, and if she won't come, I'm sure HE'LL get her here."
"Good, only three more, and we have our full team of Senshi once again." said Luna, and Terra nodded.
"We'll need it, with these new youma." said Terra.
"And to help poor Ariel-chan,"said Luna. "she was attacked."
"Twice." said Terra, and Luna and Rei looked at her incredulously. "Really, she was attacked twice today."
"What a poor girl." said Rei, shaking her head sympathetically.
"Hai, and we need to make sure that when we're back to full strength that we don't fool around." Luna said, giving a scathing glance at Usagi. Usagi eeped.
"What did I do?! I'll be a good Sailor Moon, Moon princess, and what ever else you want me to be!"
"Then why aren't you in on this conversation?" Rei shouted.
"Because," Usagi cried, and took a big breath of air. "My destined love doesn't remember me, and is going out with my friend tonight!!"
She took a moment, and another breath. "So I am allowed to be quiet, since my entire destiny is being shattered!"
"Can't we just use the Luna Mind Meld?" asked Terra, after Usagi had stopped yelling. Luna shook her head in disagreement.
"It won't work. Something about his memory wipe is different than yours."
        "Oh." Terra stated simply.
"Rei-chan," They all heard her grandfather call. "you have guests."
"They're here!" Usagi cried in delight.
        "Bring them in here, grandpa!"
"Of course, dear." he said, then left.
With that, they waited in the ensuing silence. And then, the door slid open, and three girls walked in-A brunette, with wavy brown hair and green eyes. A blue haired girl, with blue eyes. And, the last, a girl with long blond hair, with a red bow, and blue eyes. The blond held a white cat in her arms.
"Hello, minna." Rei said courteously, as she walked over to them.
"Yeah, the same..." the brunette said.
"Hai." the blue haired girl answered.
The blond was too busy staring at Terra to say anything at first, and she didn't notice when her cat jumped from her arms.
"Wow." she finally said "It's like looking into a mirror..." then she sped up, waving her hand, embarrassed. "Well, except for the hair and eye color thing..." she then noticed her cat, "Hey, Artemis!"
"Luna, some of your magic, please?" Artemis asked, eyes twinkling mischievously.
"N-nani?!" gasped Makoto, who backed up a few steps.
"How-?" Ami cried, closing her eyes.
"Oh kami-sama, my cat can talk..." Minako, eyes wide, looked like she was about to faint.
"And so can I." Luna stated simply, as she walked over to before the three. She closed her eyes, and her crescent moon flared with light. Three beams went up, hitting each of the three girls. And then, like a wave, their memories came crashing back in.

"Grandpa, I'd like you to meet Mamoru." Ariel said, introducing her boyfriend.
*Well, he's a boy, and obviously a friend,* she rationalized. *And I AM here to see if I can go out on a date with him!*
"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." Mamoru said courteously, shaking the older man's hand.
"You too." The older man returned, politely.
"Now, grandpa," Ariel began, tapping the tips of her index fingers together, nervously, "I'd like to know if I could go out with Mamoru tonight."
Her grandfather watched her carefully, as carefully as she was watching him. "We'd be going with another couple," *Is it all right for me to call us a couple? I really don't know!* "So there would be supervision."
She had her eyes closed, was smiling sweetly, and crossed her fingers behind her back. *Please, please, please!*
"Of course you can go, just be back before midnight."
*Wow, midnight! He really trusts me!*
"Thank you, grandpa! Mamoru, I'll see you when you pick me up!" she said, excited.
"Of course Ariel." He said, as he squeezed her hand and smiled. "See you at 7:30."
Then he walked out, the roar of his motorcycle was heard, and it sped into the distance. Ariel didn't hear it, however, as she was too busy thinking about how wonderful that night would be.
