Stay outside! I let you in frost. It's already late at night. You should have come earlier. I hate you coming so late.The original song (Japanese version) is so good and cute. On one chilly night, a woman has been waiting for her lover for hours. She is upset (also so sad) with him coming so late. She tells him that he stay outside for a while and that he should have come earlier. She hates him coming so late (since she loves him so much).
The couple could be farmers... could be townspeople probably in the 15 century. I drew farmers' couple. I really don't think the women would be "so" upset with him. She probably pretends to be "upset." Rather I think she has been "so" sad and lonely (since if I were her, I really don't think I would be so upset... but I would feel "so" sad).
