DATA: Professor Kozo Fuyutsuki is a 68 year old man who is the Second in Command of NERV. He is respected for his abilities, and well liked by his co-workers. His personal life is unknown.

In 1999, Professor Fuyutsuki met Gendo Rokubungi (NERVs future Supreme Commander) at Kyoto University. Professor Fuyutsuki was his student advisor and bailed him out of jail when he was involved in a fight. Fuyutsuki also met Yui Ikari, and became professionally involved with her. She stopped working with Fuyutsuki when she started working for Seele.

In 2001, Gendo Ikari recruited Professor Fuyutsuki to become part of the Gehrin on behalf of Yui Ikari. This was done primarily to prevent the professor from publishing the truth about the second Impact. The three of them worked on the Evangelion project.

When Seele disbanded the Gehrin, and reformed the organization into NERV, Fuyutsuki was placed as Deputy Commander of NERV due to his work on the EVA project and the Instrumentality Project.

Professor Fuyutsuki lives alone.
