This is a list of Character Profiles for the characters
written about/played in Fushigi Soudan. Each profile will have a picture
before it, if provided, that can be a link to a larger image if the picture doesn't fit 120x120 or close to that. A short, descriptive paragraph about the character appears after the picture, and explains who the character is with only as much information as the character's writer wishes to divulge. To update or create your profile as a member of the list, mail me or Ritz or Tomite no Miko.
If no information is provided, then just the character's
name will be listed, so that people can keep up with how many characters
there are on the list. If you write up a character that owns a stall in
the marketplace that sells dumplings, you don't need to apply for the character or write up a profile for him/her. This is only for main characters which you predominately write about. If you wish to have a dumpling vendor as a main character, though, feel free! Be what you want within the confines of FY. And remember. You can have real world/Tokyo/modern world characters too, but if they don't tie directly into the book ShiJinTenChiSho (Book of the Four Gods Sky and Earth) somehow like Tetsuya and Keisuke did, you may find it rather boring, and I'd prefer if you kept involved with the book and story.

Genbu no Miko, Kiyuki, is deaf, but has keen senses to make up for it using Ki to detect vibrations and absorb energy; doesn't like to sit around and make the seishi do all the work (like Miaka); adept in various martial arts, loves to feel music. |

Kita Oroshi is a young man who comes from
Hokkan, to the north. His name means "cold wind from the northern
uplands". Not much is known of him except he is the son of a tribal
chieftain. His father seems a benevolent leader, not bent on conquest or
control as many other tribes are. They spend their days herding their cattle and goats while the women gather any local edible plants, sew, cook, clean, or other domestic things typical of their societal structure. As the seasons change or the grass grows thin, they will take down their yurts (wood and animal skin huts for living in) and move the tribe to a better place, and then set everything up all over again. Kita seems an active member of his tribe and everyone generally likes him. |

Orphaned at thirteen, for the past four years, Genbu Shichiseishi Inami has been living on her own, travelling as far south as Konan, and training her powers while learning more about the world. She's a quiet and thoughtful person, who seems much older than her actual age, and has a serious air about her, which can make her seem somewhat aloof and cold. However, she is extremely kind-hearted, and would give up anything and everything for the sake of others. She prefers to stay in the background somewhat, and doesn't try to draw attention to herself. She likes keeping her past to herself, and there is a lot about her that has yet to be revealed. |
 |
Ashita is 17, the same age as Inami but appears to be the youngest out of all the Genbu seishi. She is naive and isn't all that bright either. She has a very impulsive attitude. She doesn't like making decisions and prefers to follow another's lead. Ashita is considered the weakest of the Genbu women but in actuality, her power of time and teleportation is quite powerful. She is a caring person who is obviously ruled by her heart than by her head. She basically comes across as your typical teenager. |
 |
Uruki is 28, the oldest of the Genbu women. She is a serious woman who has obviously gone through a lot. She takes the position of being the leader of the Genbu seishi and can be depended on to make decisions in a flash. She doesn't trust people easily but is deeply concerned to those she loves. She has a firm sense of who she is and what she wants. Having the power of water, she is definitely not a woman to be trifled with. |

Genbu Shichiseishi Hatsui is as much of an enigma to himself as he is to others. Suffering from amnesia, he woke up in the desert with a symbol on his wrist and an odd talent for manipulating shadows ^_~. Although he does have severe flashbacks now and then, he pretty much carries on with his life. He goes about his life in a very nonchalant manner and often likes staying in the background, allowing him to think and observe; however, he won't hesitate in making an honest/sarcastic/cheer-you-up remark. He is skilled in various forms of Martial Arts as well as being able to control the shadows. He accepts the fact that he is a protector of Genbu no Miko but he feels something is missing (i.e. his true IDENTITY!) and is somewhat confused because of it. |

At first glance, he usually appears as either a surprisingly embittered and cynical boy, with a personality as cold as ice, or a charming rogue with a thoroughly irreverant view of just about everything, a golden voice, and a knack as a performer. Born Lin Jie, a native of the four countries, he was adopted into the gypsies at a young age, taking the name of Natasha Kaftan amongst their people. Engaged to his step-sister Orb, Jie has fled his adoptive family the morning of the wedding, plagued by a powerfull and prophetic seeming dream, which implied that the marriage would only bode ill for Orb. No longer in the thrall of the nightmare, Natasha has searched for his family for almost seven years. Holding no allegiance to his native country, the Genbu Shichiseishi Tomite is unaware that he is a seishi, and considers the local religion mere superstition. His character Yun, or nature, appears on his right shoulder when he sings.

Umiyame has no emotions. Zip. Nada. Zilch. It's just not happening here folks ^_^; Because of this, she appears very calm and collected and tends to just say things the way it is. She would probably piss a few people off cause she can be *very* blunt. She has no feelings so she usually doesn't consider other
peoples. She also seems to have an immunity for pain. In other words, you can smash her with a 2 by 4 and she wouldn't bat an eye. Of course, that's if she's still alive ^_^;;; She's not immortal or anything, but you get the idea.... |

Seiryuu shichiseishi Tomo is Genbu shichiseishi Uruki's younger twin
brother. The affection and love between the two is obvious. Uruki is Tomo's
reason for being alive. Until he meet the other shichiseishi. His fiery temper
has caused some problems, but usually, his sister's tact, and his caring heart
solve them just as quickly. He is intelligent, although when you get him angry
he tends to act rather than think. His character 'karada' is located on the top
of his head, and his powers give him control of bodily functions. Which means
Tomo can shape shift, and he is the healer of the group. He tends to be quiet,
and observe things more. Like Uruki, he doesn't trust easily, but he doesn't
ignore his feelings either. And his feelings have been telling him that he is
falling in love with Genbu shichiseishi Inami.

Yumeboshi is not a man of first impressions. He comes across as cocky, smart-mouthed, and rude. However, when we do get to know Yumeboshi, we find that he's a caring person who is honest and upfront. At the age of 20, he has already experienced more than most people. His power is to spread lightning by touch. He usually uses a whip as his weapon. He gives the impression of being a player but he's really looking for Ms. Right. He wants to protect the ones he loves. (Don't tell him I said that though! ^.~) |

Tieh is a professional dancer and uses ribbons (2 kinds), feather fans, and rice paper unbrellas. She's very gifted and is somewhat calm. There is a fire burning in her (corny corny) eyes, but she keeps it in check. Her family is her mother, since her father died when she was fairly young. Her control over her power is remarkable... |

Kyuuka is a very busy person. He takes care of his 3 siblings, 2 boys (twins) and one girl, all of them younger than him. He is apprenticed to his father, an armour and weapon maker. He was well trained in the art of swordsmanship and always carries an old family heirloom of a sword wherever he goes. He takes care of the gardens and cooks. He loves his family and would do anything for them, except kill. His mother is very ill. His patriarchal grandmother lives with them, she is blind, but is able to train Kyuuka to be a seishi. He reads, writes, tells stories to his adoring siblings, and draws. He has a stong will and can run really fast (not supernatural, just faster than your average, fit, adult male).
