This is a list of Character Profiles for the characters
written about/played in Fushigi Soudan. Each profile will have a picture
before it, if provided, that can be a link to a larger image if the picture doesn't fit 120x120 or close to that. A short, descriptive paragraph about the character appears after the picture, and explains who the character is with only as much information as the character's writer wishes to divulge. To update or create your profile as a member of the list, mail me or Ritz or Tomite no Miko.
If no information is provided, then just the character's
name will be listed, so that people can keep up with how many characters
there are on the list. If you write up a character that owns a stall in
the marketplace that sells dumplings, you don't need to apply for the character or write up a profile for him/her. This is only for main characters which you predominately write about. If you wish to have a dumpling vendor as a main character, though, feel free! Be what you want within the confines of FY. And remember. You can have real world/Tokyo/modern world characters too, but if they don't tie directly into the book ShiJinTenChiSho (Book of the Four Gods Sky and Earth) somehow like Tetsuya and Keisuke did, you may find it rather boring, and I'd prefer if you kept involved with the book and story.

Tairaka Fukachi is a loner and doesn't have too many close friends. She prefers to spend time reading (mystery, fantasy), or listening to the radio. She also likes to draw, and use her laptop, which she takes everywhere. |

Shadow is one of the Seishi of Byakko. He was trained as an assassin after he was discovered at the scene of a horrible accident, in which his parents were supposedly killed. His seishi power is the ability to step into the shadows that surround him; while he is in the shadow realm, he is completely undetectible. |

His name is Nankindama, which means "glass beads." It may sound strange, but Nankindama is a glass blower. Not much is know about this young man for he is a loner, but he is gentle with everyone and generous to those in need. Nothing is known about his background for he was apprenticed at a young age. |

Miya/Amefuri is kind of quiet and shy usually, but really, it depends on the company. Takes her job as Protector for Byakko no Miko very seriously, even if she isn't very happy about it, since she's been preparing for this all her life. Something of a smart-ass occasionally. ;;;^_^ Carries a spear that her father used in the last war. ( I call it a guisarme, but really, that's just in case you should happen to have a book of armaments handy. Basically, it just means a spear with an extra long blade and a couple of extra hooks on the blade. ;;^_^ ) Why bother, if she can shred people with a thought? Ask her. ;;^_^ |

Ryuusei is sorta cynical, very sarcastic at
times. Doesn't really like humankind (there is a reason) |
 |
Sawari loves her work of spinning, weaving and embroidery. Unlike other women, she refuses to be shut inside
her home. She always works with at least one portal open if she must
work in a room. Her trade doesn't require much speech, but she likes
to listen to other ppl talk rather than speaking herself so she doesn't mind. She loves her parents dearly, both parties are open in their affection. |

Everyone thinks Masami is blind and treats him like a blind man. Because of this Masami has learned to be patient and understanding. He is down to earth and really content with his life. He is apprenticed to an old furniture maker and lives with him in a village in Kounan near the border to Sailo. Masami was found by the old man as a child wandering through a forest in Sailo. Masami is almost like a blind man because he cannot see as other people see. Instead, he sees the aura or almost like an essence a person or object might give off. He can recognize one person from another because each person has a different signature to his/her aura. It was hard from him but he soon learned to tell the difference between two different objects. He can see lines running through space and manipulate them. However he manipulated the essence of a tree when he was little and it fell on Muroi, the old man, he has never again tried to reach out to those lines.

Jin Feng(Golden Phoenix) has been raised since birth to fulfill her role as one of the Suzaku seishi. She was raised by her grandmother as her mother died when she was very young, and her father is unknown. She has been trained as a sorceress, but Jin Feng's real talent is illusion. She is capable of using fire based magic attacks, but they are unreliable at the best of times, so she relies on a knife for protection. Jin Feng fits her name with golden brown hair and
amber eyes. Her seishi name is "Kinyoumi", and the symbol is located
on her right wrist. |

Tasuki is quiet and kinda sad. But don't mess with him or he'll turn you into little pieces!!. Well, he is the "Problematic" kind, I mean, he became an orphan at a very young age and he feels like no one has ever cared for him. |

Nuriko is very much like fire, impulsive and passionate natured. Suffers from depression every now and again. Enjoys freedom of movement in her dancing, but will not perform for anyone. It is very personal for her, a relaxing process. Also enjoys Tamahome's company for intellectual discussion, and lusts after Natasha. Is very much a confrontational person, prefers to have things out in the open, but doesn't always know how to go about it.

Princess Suzume is the young sister of Konan's Emperor. She has just
discovered that she is a Seishi of Suzaku, and that her seishi power allows
her to not only read people's thoughts, but to manipulate them as well.
Suzume is a very determined young girl, who detests the embroidery,
etiquette, and music lessons that she is forced to attend.

Ling Kou has never led a normal life. Her power to invoke the spirits of the dead hounded her from her birth, as well as the character Oni upon her right jawbone. Kou's mother died in the travails of child birth, and yet that very day her father, and his servant's saw the child's mother standing watching her child, despite the fact the mother had been dead for hours. As a young girl, Kou was ostracized severely, not by her father in embarassment, but by the others. Everyone was understandably scared of the girl whom the dead followed. Making the best of the situation, Tamahome took advantage of her limited prophetic visions to help guide her father into becoming a very succesfull merchant. With her occasional visions, and her life so 'marked by the stars,' Kou has a strong belief in fate and destiny, which makes her very focused, almost callously so, when dealing with 'destined' matters. When it comes to 'lesser' matters, she shows a surprising social awkwardness, a result of her secluded childhood. |
 |
Chou Koufumi, as she prefers to be called, is a young woman of sixteen
who likes to keep herself distant from the world. She is a master at
concealing her true emotions, and when she does not want to reveal her
feelings, neither body, nor eye shall betray her. She's stong willed and
tends to be stubborn and will only let herself close to a select few.
She may look harmless, but don't ever get on her bad side; in other
words: don't call her "Chiriko."
|
 |
Shizuka has an odd sense of humor and is mischievious. She's sometimes rather
shy and likes to wait for others to make the first move. She does not get
angry easily, but when she is, the person involved usually regrets it.
However, she generally dislikes conflict.
